🎮 Demand Matters!

Even if the numerical value says 'Fair', high-demand pets like Shadow Dragons can easily command overpays. Don't just look at the numbers!

Adopt Me Trade Values 2026: The Complete Guide

Trading in Adopt Me is the ultimate endgame. While hatching eggs and aging pets is fun, building a massive inventory of Legendary Neons and Mega Fly Rides (MFR) requires mastering the player-driven economy. Our Adopt Me Trade Calculator uses real-time community data to help you avoid scams and secure massive wins (BMW). But raw numbers don't tell the whole story.

How Pet Values Are Calculated

Adopt Me doesn't have an official, hardcoded value system for pets. Instead, values are entirely dictated by supply, demand, and historical rarity. Our calculator assigns a baseline numerical value to every pet (e.g., a Shadow Dragon at 125.0 compared to a standard Unicorn at 1.5). These values recalculate based on three primary factors:

  • In-Game Rarity & Cost: Was the pet hatched from a free egg, or did it cost Robux? Robux pets inherently hold more baseline value.
  • Current Availability: Is the pet still obtainable in-game? "Out of game" (OOG) pets from older eggs (like the Safari Egg or Jungle Egg) constantly appreciate in value because the supply is permanently capped.
  • The "Demand" Multiplier: This is the most critical and volatile factor. A pet might be statistically rare, but if nobody wants it, it won't trade well. Conversely, "preppy" pets or visually appealing neon variants often punch far above their statistical weight.

Why Demand Defeats Math

A common mistake beginners make is treating value calculators as absolute gospel. Even if our calculator tells you a trade is perfectly "Fair (F)", you might still struggle to get the trade accepted. Why? Because demand dictates liquidity.

Take the Shadow Dragon. It is arguably the most recognizable status symbol in Adopt Me. Even if you offer 125.0 worth of lower-tier Legendary pets (like 80 Unicorns), the Shadow Dragon owner will decline. High-tier traders do not want to "downgrade" their rare, single-slot items into dozens of lower-value pets that are hard to trade away. To secure top-tier pets, you almost always need to offer a slight "Overpay" using high-demand mid-tier items (like Turtles, Kangaroos, or Crows).

Common Trading Scams to Avoid

The Adopt Me trading plaza can be ruthless. Always double-check the final trade window before confirming.

  • The "Trust Trade" Scam: Never, under any circumstances, agree to front a pet with the promise that the other player will trade you back multiple pets later. If it's not in the trade window, it doesn't exist.
  • The "Switch" Scam: A player puts a Mega Neon pet in the window, then rapidly un-equips and re-equips a normal (non-neon) version of the same pet hoping you won't notice the missing rainbow glow before hitting accept.
  • The "Nine+ Item" Scam: When a trade involves more than 9 items, the trading window forces a multi-part trade. Scammers will offer their big-ticket item in the second trade, take your items in the first, and then leave the server.
