Anime Vanguards shipped Update 13.5 — Eternal Adversaries on Sunday, June 21, 2026, less than three weeks after Update 13 (Godly Ascension, May 31). It's the largest content drop since Turning Tides in May: six new units across four different acquisition systems, seven new Memoria, a reworked summer gamemode, Memoria recycling at a new NPC, a 9,999 stat-chip cap, and three fresh codes. If you logged in this week trying to work out which of the new units is actually worth grinding for and which codes you've already missed, this is the consolidated launch-week breakdown.
TL;DR — What Shipped in 13.5
- Six new units across four obtainment paths: Today's Strongest vs History's Strongest (Summer 26 Banner), Raging Oni (Worldlines Season 12 Floor 50), Envoy of Destruction (Update 13.5 Event Pass, Tier 50), and three Mythics — Lord, Reaper, Cursed Doctor — from the Summer LTM trial portals.
- Three new codes:
13.5,EternalAdversaries,Gambler. Combined value is 100 Trait Rerolls + 100 Memoria Shards + 10,000 Iced Tea + 5 Rainbow Essence Stones. Redeem before the next major patch. - Summer 26 Banner pity is 20,000 summons, with a 0.005% base pull rate on the Vanguard-rarity Today's Strongest vs History's Strongest — the worst (i.e. highest-pity) Vanguard rate the game has shipped.
- Summer LTM returns as an endless wave-survival mode with four zones; each zone gates one Mythic via Trial Portals at 1–5% drop rates and a 30-pity Secret Trial Portal floor.
- Memoria Recycling lands as a new system at the Scrap Pirate NPC; Stat Chips cap rises from prior values to 9,999; the cosmetic system was reworked; Memoria now ship pre-evolved (no more grind to ascend Memoria to usability).
- Raging Oni is the standout F2P pickup — a 0-cost-per-placement Secret unit gated only behind Floor 50 of Worldlines Season 12, no banner luck required.
All Working 13.5 Codes
Three codes were added with the 13.5 update. All three are currently live in-game, verified against the official wiki Codes page as of June 26, 2026.
| Code | Reward | Notes |
|---|---|---|
13.5 | 50 Trait Rerolls + 5,000 Iced Tea | Patch-version code; standard format for AV update codes. |
EternalAdversaries | 50 Memoria Shards + 5,000 Iced Tea | Case-sensitive. The exact capitalization shown here is what the in-game redeem box expects. |
Gambler | 50 Trait Rerolls + 50 Memoria Shards + 5 Rainbow Essence Stones | The standout code of the three — Rainbow Essence Stones are evolution items, not currency. Grab this one first. |
Anime Vanguards codes are case-sensitive — typing eternaladversaries won't work. Redeem in the PROFILE menu, then click CODES on the left border of your profile window. Iced Tea is the summer-event currency used for the Eternal Adversaries event shop, so banking 10,000 of it from these codes is meaningfully useful.
Today's Strongest vs History's Strongest (Vanguard)
The headline Vanguard. The unit is a single banner pull that can choose between two forms — Today's Strongest (Satoru Gojo) or History's Strongest (Ryomen Sukuna) — via its Clash of the Strongest active. The chosen winner permanently replaces the unit on the field.
Obtained from the Summer 26 Seasonal Banner at a 0.005% base chance with a 20,000-summon pity. For reference, that's the longest pity floor on a Vanguard the game has shipped to date — it's a long-term project, not a weekend grind.
At Level 60 (D-stat Memoria baseline), the unit caps at ¥18,000 placement, 90,000 base damage, 10 SPA, 52 range, 9,000 DPS. The passive is the meta-defining piece: "every other attack deals 100% more damage and bypasses Damage Reduction; deals 100% more damage to Overshields; Stuns Bleeding enemies for 2 seconds." DR-bypass plus an Overshield multiplier is the exact tool set the current end-game raid bosses reward — this is the patch where DR-bypass moves from nice-to-have to expected on top DPS slots.
If you don't have 20K summons saved, don't burn what you have chasing the 0.005% — the new Worldlines Secret (below) covers most of the boss-room ground at zero summon cost.
Raging Oni vs Wrath God (Secret) — The F2P Headliner
The patch's other clash unit, and the one that genuinely changes the F2P meta. Inspired by Akuma from Street Fighter, Raging Oni drops from completing Floor 50 of Worldlines Season 12. No summons. No event-pass purchase. Reach the floor, beat the boss, claim the unit.
At Level 60, Raging Oni places at ¥0 cost with 90,000 damage, 8 SPA, 52 range, and 11,250 DPS — free placement on a Secret with higher DPS than the Vanguard Today's Strongest. The catch is the Focus mechanic: the unit has a Focus Meter up to 300%, gains 15% per attack, and the Ex Focus active (1-second cooldown!) consumes a full meter to make the next attack deal 300% more damage plus a 50% Crit Rate buff for 60 seconds. When the meter caps, Ex Focus auto-triggers.
"Battle of Wills" — its second passive — gives Overcrit (crit chance can exceed 100%, with the overflow rolling into damage) and grants double Focus from each critical hit. The kit rewards stacking Crit Rate, then leaning on Overcrit scaling once you're past 100%. Because the Focus meter resets between deployments, Raging Oni is weakest in short waves and best in long single-boss fights and the new Summer Mode.
Envoy of Destruction (Exclusive)
Inspired by Phainon from Honkai: Star Rail. Obtained as the Tier 50 reward of the Update 13.5 Event Pass. Exclusive rarity (the second-rarest tier in the game after Vanguard).
Lv. 60 stats: ¥28,000 placement, 65,000 base damage, 12 SPA, 50 range, 5,417 DPS. The active Destruction Arrives deals 300% damage to all enemies at a 0-second cooldown, making Envoy the patch's premier AoE deletion tool when paired with an attack-cycle trait.
Its real ceiling is the Destruction status: "Damage taken by affected enemies bypasses 70% of Damage Reduction; Enemies with Overshield take double damage." Pair an Envoy with a Today's Strongest (or any DR-bypass DPS) and the bypass compounds against the new event bosses.
Evolution requires Green Essence ×40 and 15,000 gold. The Specialty Memoria "Messenger of Destruction" is exclusive to Envoy and stacks DR bypass into a Blazing Sun buff (50% damage + 80% DR bypass for 20 seconds after using an active).
The Three Summer-LTM Mythics — Lord, Reaper, Cursed Doctor
All three are gated behind the Summer LTM. Each Mythic has its own zone (1–4) with a Trial Portal sold by a dedicated NPC. Buying tiered portals scales drop chance from 1% up to 5%; a Secret Trial Portal floor exists at 30-pity per Mythic. Evolution items drop from Summer Capsules at 5%.
Lord (Fairy) — Zone 2, Nature
Inspired by Meliodas from The Seven Deadly Sins. Mythic, Nature. Trait "Statue Maker" inflicts Stone for 2 seconds (Stun). Lv. 60 total cost ¥88,500. Strong stall pick for ranged-attack waves; weak in single-target priority since Stone has its own anti-synergy ("Sloth" debuffs SPA by 30% for 15s when applying Stone). Best slotted as a one-of-three damage-and-control hybrid, not as primary DPS.
Reaper (Scissors) — Zone 4, Passion
The unit that introduced the Splash mechanic to AV: "When a unit with Splash basic attacks an enemy, repeat the target's damage to all enemies within 20 studs." Combined with the Bleed stack (4 stacks → Stun for 2 seconds), Reaper is the patch's premier DoT-coverage Mythic. Lv. 60 cost ¥104,600 — high, but Splash math is essentially free AoE on every basic attack. Already tagged Unobtainable on the wiki page, which means farming windows close fast — get the Reaper portal grind in this week if you're chasing it.
Cursed Doctor (Healer) — Zone 3, Support
The cheapest unit in the patch at ¥6,000 total Lv. 60 cost, and the only dedicated support among the three. Cleanses Status Debuffs, buffs all in-range allies by 1,000 base damage per upgrade tier (up to 5,000), and stretches enemy-debuff durations on allied attacks by 1 second. Reliable Healer also gives a 20% range buff to all units in range — flat utility that scales the entire team rather than one DPS slot. F2P-friendly, slot-anywhere pick.
Summer Mode, Memoria Recycling & the 9,999 Stat-Chip Cap
The systems-level changes are the patch's quiet wins.
- Summer Mode is a reworked endless-wave survival gamemode that drops Iced Tea (the event currency) on clear progression. It's also where Raging Oni's Focus loop actually shines, which is not a coincidence — the patch's design loop expects you to play Summer Mode while you grind Worldlines Floor 50.
- Memoria Recycling is handled at the new Scrap Pirate NPC — feed unused Memoria back into the system for Memoria Shards. If you're sitting on a stockpile of low-tier Memoria from previous events, this is your conversion path to the new specialty Memoria from this patch.
- Stat Chips cap was raised to 9,999. For long-term sub-stat reroll farmers, this removes the prior bank-cap headache.
- Memoria now ship pre-evolved. The "earn the Memoria, then ascend it to S-tier" grind is gone — newly-acquired Memoria are at their final form. This single change quietly reduces the F2P time-to-meta on every future Memoria release by hours.
Launch-Week Priority List
- Redeem all three codes today. The 5 Rainbow Essence Stones from
Gambleralone is worth more than the rest of the codes combined for evolution-progression players. - Push Worldlines Season 12 toward Floor 50 before chasing the Vanguard. Raging Oni at ¥0 placement with 11,250 DPS is the cleanest free upgrade in the patch.
- Buy the Event Pass only if you're at the Envoy threshold (Tier 50). Below tier 50, the value isn't there; at tier 50, Envoy + its Specialty Memoria is the patch's best DR-bypass Exclusive.
- Run Reaper's Zone 4 portals first. Reaper is already marked Unobtainable on the wiki — the farming window is the shortest of the three Mythics.
- Recycle pre-13.5 Memoria at the Scrap Pirate. Convert unused stockpile into Memoria Shards for the new Specialty Memoria.
- Skip the Summer 26 Banner unless you have 20K+ summons saved. 0.005% with 20K pity is a long-term project — banking now sets up the next Vanguard rotation.
FAQ
- When did Anime Vanguards Update 13.5 release?
- Sunday, June 21, 2026. The patch is titled "Eternal Adversaries" and is the major-version follow-up to Update 13 (Godly Ascension, May 31, 2026).
- What are all the Anime Vanguards codes for June 2026?
- The three Update 13.5 codes are
13.5(50 Trait Rerolls + 5,000 Iced Tea),EternalAdversaries(50 Memoria Shards + 5,000 Iced Tea), andGambler(50 Trait Rerolls + 50 Memoria Shards + 5 Rainbow Essence Stones). All three are case-sensitive. - How do I get Today's Strongest vs History's Strongest?
- Summon on the Summer 26 Seasonal Banner. Base pull rate is 0.005%, with a hard pity of 20,000 summons. The unit picks between Today's Strongest (Gojo) or History's Strongest (Sukuna) via the Clash of the Strongest active.
- How do I get Raging Oni in Anime Vanguards?
- Complete Floor 50 of Worldlines Season 12. No banner pulls, no event-pass purchase — it's the only summon-free Secret in the patch.
- What's the Envoy of Destruction event-pass tier?
- Tier 50 of the Update 13.5 Event Pass. Envoy is Exclusive rarity and inflicts the Destruction status, which bypasses 70% of enemy Damage Reduction and doubles damage taken by Overshield enemies.
- Are the Summer-LTM Mythics permanent or limited?
- Limited. Reaper (Scissors) is already marked Unobtainable on the wiki, with Lord and Cursed Doctor following the same event-window pattern. Trial Portals are sold by zone-specific NPCs in the Summer LTM at scaling 1–5% drop rates; a Secret Trial Portal floor exists at 30 pity per Mythic.
- Did 13.5 change anything about Memoria?
- Yes — two things. Memoria now ship pre-evolved (no more ascension grind), and a Memoria Recycling system was added at the Scrap Pirate NPC, letting you convert unused Memoria into Memoria Shards.
- What's the new Stat Chip cap?
- 9,999, raised from the prior cap. Useful for long-term sub-stat reroll farmers who were previously running into the bank limit.
