Blox Fruits Races
Complete V1 to V4 Guide (2026)
Blox Fruits has 7 races: 4 starter races (Human, Rabbit, Shark, Angel) assigned randomly at character creation, and 3 unlockable races (Cyborg, Ghoul, Draco) requiring specific in-game quests or items. Each race has 4 upgrade tiers (V1–V4) that provide progressively stronger passive bonuses. Draco is the hardest to unlock and considered the strongest race for PvP in 2026.
How we source this page. Race unlock methods, ability names, and the few numeric claims below (drop rates, Draco Beli cost) are taken from the Blox Fruits Fandom wiki. We deliberately do not publish cooldowns, HP thresholds, charge counts, or awakening-material costs here — those shift between updates. For live values, check the wiki or in-game UI.
Understanding Race Versions
Each race has four versions. V1 is the base form (passive or no passive, depending on race). V2 and V3 add incremental abilities and are unlocked in the Second Sea. V4 is the final awakening and requires Third Sea progression plus race-specific materials.
Starter Races
Human, Rabbit, Shark, Angel. Assigned randomly on first join (Fandom lists 62.5% Human, 12.5% each for the other three). Can be changed with a race reroll item.
Unlockable Races
Cyborg, Ghoul, Draco. Each requires a specific quest or NPC purchase — see the detail cards below.
All Races Detailed Guide
Starter Races

Specialty
All-round PvP. The default race and one of the most common picks at high level.
Ability Progression (V1 → V4)
Human and Cyborg are the only races with no V1 passive bonus.
Extended Flash Step range and lower cooldown, faster Instinct dodge regeneration, longer dashes.

Unlocks Psycho (enhanced Flash Step with multiple charges and brief invisibility) and Limit Break (rage meter scales attack power during combat).
Rabbit
Starter Race

Ability Progression (V1 → V4)

Movement multiplier increases to 2×. Dashes travel further and use less energy.
Active ability that temporarily multiplies movement speed to 4×. Fandom lists ~6.5s duration and ~30s cooldown.
Whirlwind stuns enemies caught in your slipstream. Lightning Cloak enables a long-range super-dash on hold.
Angel

Starter race — 12.5% drop rate on first join, or via a race reroll.
Specialty
Aerial mobility and sustain.
Ability Progression (V1 → V4)
Jump higher and gain Air Jump whether you bought it from the shop or not.
Gain an additional Air Jump with extra height on the first jump. Air Jumps cost less energy.

V4 awakening grants Angel-specific awakened moves — refer to the Fandom wiki for the current-update moveset, which has been revised across patches.
Unlockable Races
Cyborg
Unlockable Race
How to Obtain
Complete the Cyborg puzzle in the Second Sea (entry via the Fist of Darkness chest chain + Core Island lab).
Specialty
Anti-Instinct and close-quarters combo pressure.
Ability Progression (V1 → V4)
Cyborg starts without a passive, similar to Human.
Incremental buffs feeding into the Cyborg kit.
Active ability that creates continuous AoE lightning damage, burns over time, breaks enemy Instinct at close range, and reduces damage taken.
Further enhances the V3 kit with awakened moves. Exact move names have been revised across updates — consult the Fandom wiki for current-patch details.
Ghoul
Unlockable Race
How to Obtain
Buy from Experimic NPC at night for 100 Ectoplasm + a Hellfire Torch.
Specialty
Life-leech sustain, night mobility, cooldown pressure.
Ability Progression (V1 → V4)

Draco
Unlockable Race
How to Obtain
Complete the Dragon Wizard quest. Fandom lists the Beli cost for the race up through V3 at 4,000,000 — the most expensive race to unlock.
Specialty
High damage output plus enemy debuffs. Visually distinct across every form.
Ability Progression (V1 → V4)
Baseline Draco form with a visual transformation — unique among races, which typically only change appearance at higher tiers.
Builds on V1 with incremental combat improvements.
V3 introduces the debuff component that makes Draco a PvP threat even before V4.
V4 grants Draco its signature awakened moves. Check the Fandom wiki for current-patch naming.
V4 Race Awakening
Unlock Path
- • Progress to the Third Sea
- • Complete the race-specific V4 quest chain
- • Gather the materials your race's quest calls for (varies)
A Note on Patch Churn
V4 requirements and move names have been adjusted across updates (notably 17.3, 24, and 27). If a guide gives very specific numbers — drop rates, quest costs, exact cooldown values — cross-check against the Blox Fruits Fandom wiki before committing to a grind.
