KNOCKOUT!
Knockout is a Roblox physics-based arena brawler from braxworks, released December 19, 2025. Up to 12 players control penguins and aim arrows to knock opponents off the edge. This hub covers all 8 maps, all 4 game modes (FFA, 2 Teams, Juggernaut, Hot Potato), the arrow mechanic, codes status, and verified strategies — every fact cross-checked against the official Knockout Fandom wiki.
What is Knockout!?
Knockout is a Roblox physics-based arena brawler by braxworks. Players control penguins and compete in matches of up to 12, attempting to knock opponents off the edge of the arena. Each round demands careful timing, precise aiming, and smart movement — players cannot see opponents' aim or power unless on the same team.
"Simple to learn, impossible to master."
CORE MECHANICS
- Arrow Aim & Power: Aim your arrow and tune power (E/Q on PC) to launch your penguin. Opponents can't see your aim or power unless you're teammates.
- Edge Knockouts: The arena ends in a sheer drop — knock opponents off, or get knocked off yourself. There is no health bar.
- Map-Specific Gimmicks: Each of the 8 maps has its own twist: shrinking floors, color calls, disappearing platforms, meteor strikes, or degrading tiles.

Classic
The default Knockout map — a plain icy arena with no special gimmicks. The arena shrinks in size round after round, making survival progressively harder.
Color Block
Players must stand on the tile matching the called color (white, black, brown, green, blue, red, orange, yellow, or purple) to survive each call. Land on the wrong color and you are eliminated.
Polar Portals
The arena is split into four sections connected by railed bridges, with linked portals on each corner. Entering one portal teleports you to its paired corner across the map.
Bubblegum Bayou
A pink-themed map with bouncy bubblegum pads scattered across the arena that change locations every round. Water is replaced with liquid bubblegum. Released for the Valentines Event.
Penguin Peak
A peak-shaped arena where sections of the platform disappear throughout the match. Tiles are color-coded by danger level: red (danger), orange (mild), yellow (slight), dark red (safe). Water is replaced with lava.
Doomsday
A dark, circular arena where meteors of varying sizes rain down on marked impact zones. Players inside a marked border when a meteor lands are knocked out. Released for the Magma Event.
Temple Tiles
A temple-themed arena where tiles degrade as players slide over them — regular tiles become damaged, then collapsing, then fall away entirely. Player movement directly shapes the map.
Hollow Holes
A green-and-black checkered arena where players must avoid falling into holes while still playing along with the primary goal. Some areas are guarded by barriers. Released for the St. Patrick's Event.
How Arrows Work
Knockout has no health bar and no item pickups. The entire combat loop is built on one mechanic: the arrow.
Per the Fandom Arrows page: during a round, each player points their arrow in the direction they want to go. Both the direction and the arrow power determine the launch — how far you slide, and how hard you knock back anyone you collide with.
On PC, use E to increase power and Q to decrease. Mobile uses on-screen right/left buttons; console uses right/left triggers. Crucially, opponents cannot see your aim or your power unless they are on your team — every exchange is a mutual guessing game.
Arrows themselves are purely cosmetic skins (see the gallery below). They do not change damage, range, or any gameplay value — only the visual.

Choose Your Battle
FFA (Free-for-All)
The original mode added in Update 1. No teams — every penguin fights for themselves. The last penguin standing wins. Awards 20 Ice per knockout (no multiplier).
2 Teams
Added in Update 3. Players are split into Red and Blue teams. Ice is only awarded for knocking out opponents, not teammates. Win by eliminating the entire opposing team.
OBJECTIVE
Eliminate every member of the opposing team.
PLAYERS
Up to 12 (split into Red/Blue)
Juggernaut
Added February 21, 2026. One randomly selected player becomes the Juggernaut — larger and heavier than everyone else. The Juggernaut tries to knock everyone off or simply survive; regular players try to knock out the Juggernaut. Friendly-fire on regular players awards no Ice.
OBJECTIVE
As Juggernaut: knock everyone off or outlast them. As player: take down the Juggernaut.
PLAYERS
Up to 12
Hot Potato
Added March 14, 2026 — the first limited/event game mode in Knockout. One player holds the potato and must touch another penguin to pass it on. If the timer runs out while holding it, the potato explodes and knocks them out. Last penguin standing wins.

Championship Strategy Guide
Master Arrow Power Control
Arrow power determines how far your penguin travels and how hard you knock back opponents. Higher power launches you further — but also makes it easier to overshoot off the edge yourself.
KEY POINTS
- ›Lower power = better control near edges
- ›Higher power = stronger knockback at the cost of self-risk
- ›Per the wiki, opponents can't see your aim or power unless you're teammates — use that
- ›Practice in the lobby Obby to develop a feel for power scaling
Hold the Center as the Arena Shrinks
The Classic map shrinks round after round. Players caught at the edge as the perimeter recedes are forced into bad positions or knocked off entirely.
KEY POINTS
- ›Spawn-time positioning matters less than mid-round positioning
- ›Drift toward center as zones contract
- ›Edge-pushed opponents are easy targets — let them come to you
- ›Verified mechanic: arena shrinks each round on the Classic map
Adapt to the Active Map Gimmick
Each Knockout map has a unique mechanic. Color Block punishes players standing on the wrong color. Penguin Peak removes platforms mid-round. Temple Tiles degrades any tile you slide over. Doomsday rains meteors on marked zones.
KEY POINTS
- ›On Color Block: watch the called color, not other players
- ›On Penguin Peak: track which tiles are red vs safe
- ›On Temple Tiles: avoid sliding the same path twice
- ›On Doomsday: leave any zone the moment a meteor border appears
Mode-Specific Play
Knockout rotates through FFA, 2 Teams, Juggernaut, and Hot Potato. Each demands a different mindset — Juggernaut especially flips the script depending on whether you're the big penguin or not.
KEY POINTS
- ›FFA: trust no one — even an "ally" is a threat
- ›2 Teams: no Ice for teammate KOs — coordinate with your color
- ›Juggernaut: as Juggernaut you're slower but heavier — use momentum
- ›Hot Potato: as the holder, aim for crowded areas to pass off
Grind Ice the Efficient Way
Ice is the primary currency, used to buy eggs in the Skin Shop. Per the Fandom Ice page: 85 Ice for a round win, 20 per knockout, 10 per assist, plus bonus Ice for completing the lobby Obby.
KEY POINTS
- ›Wins (85) far outpay knockouts (20) — prioritize survival
- ›Assists (10) stack quickly in team modes
- ›Run the lobby Obby for free Ice between matches
- ›Top-3 on the Weekly Ice Leaderboard earns the Glacier Angel skin
Predict Movement, Not Position
Because opponents can't see your aim or power, attacks are guesswork on both sides. Reading where a player is about to be — not where they are — wins exchanges.
KEY POINTS
- ›Most players slide in roughly straight lines
- ›Players near edges instinctively aim back toward center
- ›Lead your shot in the direction of their drift
- ›Vary your own movement to be unpredictable

Practice arrow-power control, learn each map's gimmick (color calls, disappearing tiles, meteor zones, portals), play patiently in FFA, and grind the lobby Obby between matches for steady Ice income.
