Jujutsu Infinite's Judgeman rework overhauled one of the game's most distinctive techniques from the ground up. New status effects, completely replaced moves, reworked Domain Expansion, and a rebalanced Executioner Sword — the Judgeman you knew before this patch doesn't exist anymore.
If you played Judgeman pre-rework, almost every guide you've read is outdated. Here's what's actually in the kit now.
Why Judgeman Got Reworked
Judgeman's old kit was functional but linear — the move sequence was predictable and the lack of meaningful status interactions made it weaker than comparable techniques at high-level play. The rework addresses both issues: new status effects create conditional damage windows, and the overhauled moves open up better combo routing.
The result is a technique that rewards understanding its new mechanics more than the old version ever did.
New Status Effects
Two new status effects anchor the reworked Judgeman kit:
Convicted
Convicted is a debuff you apply to enemies. While an enemy is Convicted, all of your Judgeman moves deal increased damage.
This is the core mechanic driving the rework. Landing Convicted before following up with heavier moves is now the foundation of Judgeman's damage output. Building around proc'ing Convicted quickly and then capitalizing on the damage window defines the new playstyle.
Confiscation
Confiscation is a secondary status effect with distinct new visual effects. Full mechanical details on Confiscation's secondary interactions are still being documented by the community.
⚠️ Partially Confirmed: The Confiscation status has new visual effects confirmed. Its exact secondary interaction effects are still being cataloged. Check the Jujutsu Infinite wiki for real-time updates.
Reworked Moves
Gavel Sweep — Combo Entry Tool
Gavel Sweep has been updated to function as a cleaner combo setup. It creates the opening for follow-up moves more reliably than the old version's equivalent.
Use Gavel Sweep to initiate your sequence and apply Convicted early. The improved tracking and animation make it the natural first hit in most Judgeman combos post-rework.
Gavel Grasp — The Block-Breaking Finisher
Gavel Grasp replaces Guillotine Execution entirely. This is the most significant individual move change in the rework.
How it works:
- Grabs the target
- Grows in size and range the longer you hold — variable power based on charge time
- Bypasses block — cannot be blocked regardless of charge time
The block-bypass property makes Gavel Grasp extremely potent against defensive players. Short holds are quick and safe; long holds deal significantly more damage but leave you briefly exposed. Medium-length holds tend to be the most efficient in practice.
Soaring Justice — The Zone-Control Closer
Soaring Justice is the new aerial finisher:
- Launches you into the air
- Delivers three consecutive ground slams
- Pulls enemies inward during the slam sequence
- Bypasses block
The pull-in effect makes Soaring Justice a strong combo extender in situations where your target is trying to create space. It also applies well to cluster scenarios — the pull has a radius that catches nearby players, not just your primary target.
Use Soaring Justice to close out Convicted windows: apply the debuff, confirm a Gavel Sweep or Gavel Grasp hit, then land Soaring Justice for maximum damage during the Convicted window.
Domain Expansion Changes
The Judgeman Domain Expansion received updates alongside the move rework. The core Domain structure remains, but the mechanics within it have been adjusted to align with the new Convicted and Confiscation system. Executioner Sword — which operates inside the Domain — was also changed as part of this rework.
⚠️ Partially Confirmed: Specific Domain Expansion mechanical values and Executioner Sword stat changes are still being compiled across community sources. Multiple players have confirmed behavior changes, but precise numbers haven't been officially documented.
How to Play Judgeman After the Rework
The new Judgeman rewards a specific combo rhythm:
1. Open with Gavel Sweep — apply Convicted and establish the damage window
2. Follow with Gavel Grasp — time your hold based on the situation:
- Quick hold against defensive/blocking players — block bypass still connects
- Medium hold when you have a confirmed opening — maximize size scaling without overcommitting
3. Close with Soaring Justice — capitalize on the Convicted damage boost while the debuff is active; the pull-in keeps your target from escaping the slam sequence
4. Domain Expansion — save for extended fights or 1v1 scenarios where you can fully exploit the Convicted setup inside the Domain
The primary mistake with reworked Judgeman: ignoring Convicted. Hitting moves without the debuff active means reduced damage for the entire combo. Land Convicted first, then commit.

FAQ
Q: Is Judgeman still worth using after the rework?
A: Yes — the rework made Judgeman more mechanically interesting, not weaker. The Convicted status creates real damage windows, and both Gavel Grasp and Soaring Justice are strong moves with block-bypass. Players who understand the new kit will outperform pre-rework Judgeman numbers.
Q: Do I need to re-obtain Judgeman after the rework?
A: The rework applies to the existing technique automatically. If you already have Judgeman, the updated moves and status effects are available immediately — no re-roll needed.
Q: What replaced Guillotine Execution?
A: Gavel Grasp is the direct replacement. It shares a similar hold mechanic but adds size scaling and block bypass that Guillotine didn't have.
Q: Does Convicted apply to all Judgeman moves?
A: Based on confirmed information, Convicted increases damage across Judgeman moves while the debuff is active. Specific move interactions with Confiscation are still being documented.
Q: How long does Convicted last?
A: Exact duration hasn't been officially documented. Community play suggests a limited window of a few seconds — enough for a full combo if your timing is clean.
Q: Is Soaring Justice good in PvP or just PvE?
A: The block-bypass property and pull-in effect make it effective in PvP specifically. The pull counters spacing strategies, and the block bypass means defensive players can't wait it out. In PvE it functions as strong cleave damage.
Q: What happened to the old Domain Expansion mechanics?
A: The Domain Expansion was updated to incorporate the Convicted system. Specific mechanical changes are still being documented. The Executioner Sword inside the Domain was also rebalanced.
Q: Are the rework codes still active?
A: As of April 28, 2026, JUDGEMAN_REWORK, 400K_SUBS, and HELLO_JJI are all active. Codes tied to updates typically last a few weeks — redeem them soon.
