Grow a Garden 2 Guide
The official sequel from the team behind Grow a Garden — plant by day, defend by night. Stealing, guilds, Super rarity, and every working code.
Grow a Garden 2 is the official sequel to Grow a Garden, released June 12, 2026 by Strawberreh Squad — the group behind the original. You plant seeds, harvest crops, and sell them for Sheckles, but at night other players can steal from your garden for free. The night-stealing mechanic, defensive plants like Dragon's Breath and the Venus Fly Trap, the guild system, the new Super rarity, every documented pet, and all working codes are covered across this cluster — plus databases for gears, crops, and prop crates, and a sell-value calculator built on the wiki's official formula.
What I'd tell a friend starting Grow a Garden 2
From Brandon Sorensen's own playtime — not sourced from a wiki
- Habit: Rare pet and seed restocks are worth watching for — but do not burn cash trying to force shop resets when the RNG is not going your way. You will spend more than the restock is worth.
- Mistake to avoid: Low-tier single-harvest crops quietly eat your profit in replanting costs. Multi-harvest crops and defensive plants build a farm that sustains itself instead of one you have to keep feeding.
- What guides miss: Crop scaling has heavier diminishing returns than most guides let on, so building an automated setup loop beats chasing one giant crop almost every time.

What Is Grow a Garden 2?
Grow a Garden 2 is the standalone successor to Grow a Garden, built by the same developer group (Strawberreh Squad, owned by DevNamedDavid — the successor of The Garden Game group). The core loop is familiar: buy seeds when the shop restocks, plant them on your plot, harvest the produce, and sell it at the Sell Stand for Sheckles. Your garden even keeps growing while you're offline.
What changed is everything around that loop. Night now brings free crop-stealing between players, defensive plants and guard pets fight raiders for you, guilds compete in weekly harvest contests, and the rarity ladder gained a new top tier: Super. A Mailbox next to your plot lets you send and receive seeds, seed packs, and gears with other players.
| System | Grow a Garden | Grow a Garden 2 |
|---|---|---|
| Stealing | 37 Robux or 37 Tokens per steal | Free — but only at night |
| Mutations | Stack multiplicatively | Exactly one mutation per crop |
| Teams | Solo farming | Guilds with weekly competitions |
| Progress | Separate experiences — nothing carries over in either direction | |
How Night Stealing Works
Stealing is the headline mechanic — the day/night cycle decides when your crops are safe and when every unguarded garden on the server becomes a target.
Default weather — plant, water, and harvest in peace.
Transition warning — lock in your defense before dark.
Stealing is live. Moon roll: Normal 77%, Gold 13%, Rainbow 6%, Blood 2%, Mega 2%.
Stealing, step by step
- Wait for night — an unlocked icon appears over gardens open to theft
- The owner must be away from their garden; occupied gardens are locked
- Press E on a crop to grab it, then carry it back to your own garden
- Teleport buttons are disabled while you carry stolen goods — you walk on foot
- Bamboo and Mushrooms take 3 seconds to steal; everything else is instant
- Leaving the server while carrying stolen fruit drops it — no disconnect escapes
If you get robbed
- Hit the thief with your Shovel (free, given on join) to recover the stolen crop
- Shovel hits also knock intruders out of your garden
- Standing in your garden locks it — nothing can be stolen while you're home
- A notification persists on your screen until you return to check your garden
- Some nights swap stealing for an alternate event (mutation seeds, boosted crop chances) — thieves love the distraction
5 Common Stealing Techniques
Watch for a garden owner to leave for the shop, sell stand, or to steal from others. The moment they walk away, their garden unlocks.
Find a player who is AFK outside their garden. Their plot stays unlocked indefinitely — steal at your own pace until they move or log out (~20 min).
When a player first joins a server, they spawn outside their garden. Rush their plot during the brief window before they teleport home.
Use the Wheelbarrow (500K Sheckles) to physically carry a garden owner out of their plot, unlocking it for a friend or alt to raid.
When a Gold Moon or Rainbow Moon rises, most owners run off to grab special seeds. Use the distraction to steal from unguarded gardens.
Offensive Pets & Gear for Stealing
Stealing pets
- Raccoon (Super, 5M Sheckles) — auto-steals from empty gardens at night and raises your steal limit by +25. The core stealing pet.
- Fox (Mythic, 10M Leaves) — steals a seed (not fruit) from other players at night and brings it back.
- Red Panda (Super, Exclusive) — steals seeds far more often than a Fox.
- Kitsune (Secret, Exclusive) — auto-steals fruit and turns it Chakra (60x mutation). The rarest and strongest offensive pet.
- Bunny (Common, 20K Sheckles) — +5 walk speed per Bunny. Stack multiples for faster escapes.
Stealing gear
- Speed Mushroom (1,500 Sheckles) — +5% walk speed for 1 min. Cheap, stackable, core raid consumable.
- Invisibility Mushroom (30,000 Sheckles) — invisible for 1 min. Sneak past defensive plants.
- Rainbow Carpet (599 Robux) — unlimited flight. Fly over fences, skip traps, escape with loot. S-tier.
- Wheelbarrow (500K Sheckles) — carry the garden owner out of their plot to unlock it for allies.
- Lantern (12,000 Sheckles) — better night vision. Spot high-value crops faster.
In the original Grow a Garden, stealing cost 37 Robux or 37 Tokens per steal — in the sequel it's free for everyone, which is why defense now matters as much as farming.
Defending Your Garden
You can't stand guard every night. Layered defense — plants, pets, gears, and props — lets your garden fight back while you farm or go offline.
Defensive Plants
Dragon's Breath
SUPERShoots a strong beam of fire at nearby players at night, causing them to drop Sheckles. A multi-harvest crop, so it earns while it guards. Place at choke points.
- Seed Shop: 225,000,000 Sheckles (or 1,599 Robux)
- Restock chance: 0.2% (1 in 500)
Venus Fly Trap
MYTHICBites a raiding player at night — they lose roughly 75% of their health and drop Sheckles. Also multi-harvest. Place next to your highest-value crops.
- Seed Shop: 7,000,000 Sheckles (or 799 Robux)
- Stock chance: 1.43%
Venom Spitter
Mythic multi-harvest. Spits venom at non-owner players at night, dealing damage over time.
Hypno Bloom
Hypnotizes nearby players, disrupting their movement. Only works while fruit is fully grown.
Cactus
Rare, multi-harvest, just 60 Sheckles. Damages players who step on it. Use as a cheap perimeter ring.
Bamboo
Cannot be stolen. Use as physical walls — plant a row to funnel thieves through a kill zone.
Guard Pets
| Pet | Rarity | Defense ability |
|---|---|---|
| Dog | Uncommon | Bites + stuns thieves 2–4s, forces stolen item drop |
| Hedgehog | Rare | Rolling tackle + knockback, forces stolen item drop |
| Bee | Legendary | Patrols garden, swarms intruders on entry |
| Bear | Mythic | Tackles, pins, then throws intruders out of garden |
| Bald Eagle | Mythic | Snatches intruders and flies them out |
| Scarecrow | Mythic | Locks thief for 1–3s after you shovel them — they cannot steal |
| Ice Serpent | Super | Breathes frost on intruders, freezing them solid |
Defensive Gears
Shovel (free)
Every player gets one on join. Hit a thief to recover your stolen crop and knock them out. Also removes your own crops and placed gear (with a confirm pop-up).
Gnome (100K Sheckles / 95 Robux)
Epic gear. Blows away players who try to steal your crops. Works passively for ~10 minutes — active defense even while you're away.
Flashbang (20K Sheckles / 67 Robux)
Epic, one-time use. Blinds a thief and forces them to drop stolen crops. Budget-friendly active defense.
Strawberry Sniper (13M Sheckles)
Mythic, always in shop. Launches strawberry projectiles that knock back players. Infinite use with a 3-second cooldown.
Freeze Ray (749 Robux)
Rare. Freezes a player in an ice block — total immobilization for several seconds. Unlimited uses.
Vine Wrapper (499 Robux)
Wraps a thief in vines, locking them in place. Permanent gear — one-time Robux purchase.
Structural defenses (Props)
- Fence Crate — physical walls to reduce entry points
- Owner Door (1.5M Sheckles) — only you can open it; creates a single controlled entry
- Bear Trap Crate — damages and stops thieves; most effective on exit paths
Basic Pot — steal-proof your crops
The Basic Pot (300K Sheckles, Epic) makes any planted crop permanently immune to stealing. Potting strips current fruit but all future harvests are protected. The most reliable defense for your highest-value crops.

Guilds & Weekly Competitions
Guilds are the sequel's team layer — created at the Guild Stand run by the NPC Gilbert, in the center of the map next to the Sell Stand.
The basics
- Creating a guild costs 99 Robux; joining via invite is free
- Guilds start at 20 slots and expand in paid tiers up to 50 members (1,472 Robux total for every upgrade)
- Three roles: Owner (full control), up to 5 Elders (can invite), and Members
- Invites are accepted or declined at your Mailbox
- Guild name changes have a 7-day cooldown; owners can't leave — only disband
Scoring & rewards
Weekly competitions are scored by the weight of harvested plants at 1 point per gram. When the cycle ends, rewards arrive by Mailbox based on leaderboard placement — top guilds earn the Black Dragon(a Super-rarity pet you can't buy), Rainbow Eggs, Rainbow and Gold Seeds, and Legendary Seed Packs.
| Competition | Rotation | Objective |
|---|---|---|
| Highest Kg | Week 1 | Harvest the highest-kg fruit. |
| Cash Crop | Week 2 | Sell your inventory for the largest amount of Sheckles. |
| Biggest Carrot | Week 3 | Harvest the heaviest carrot — Gold-mutated counts 2x, Rainbow-mutated 2.5x. |
Crops & the New Super Rarity
Seven rarity tiers, topped by the sequel-exclusive Super tier. Crops decay (visibly desaturate) if neglected — water them or wait for Rain, which doubles growth speed and revives plants.
| Tier | Example crops (Seed Shop pool) |
|---|---|
| Common | Carrot, Blueberry, Strawberry |
| Uncommon | Apple, Tomato, Tulip |
| Rare | Bamboo, Cactus, Corn, Pineapple, Horned Melon |
| Epic | Banana, Grape, Green Bean, Mango, Glow Mushroom |
| Legendary | Acorn, Cherry, Dragon Fruit, Poison Ivy, Sunflower |
| Mythic | Ghost Pepper, Poison Apple, Pomegranate, Venom Spitter, Venus Fly Trap |
| Super | Dragon's Breath |
Examples from the community wiki's crop table — new seeds keep arriving in updates. The most recent drops are Star Fruit (v1.15.0) and Sun Bloom (v1.16.0), both added July 12, 2026, following Fire Fern and Rocket Pop on July 3.
Mutations — One Per Crop
Unlike the original's stacking system, each crop carries exactly one mutation. Sell value = base price × size × mutation multiplier. Gold and Rainbow Seeds guarantee a mutation; weather events roll the rest.
| Mutation | Multiplier | How to get it |
|---|---|---|
| Glow | 100x | Occasionally from the Star Fruit plant (added v1.15.0) |
| Eclipsed | 80x | Eclipse weather event (added v1.16.0) |
| Chakra | 60x | Kitsune auto-steals fruit and turns it Chakra (Fall Harvest) |
| Bloodlit | 60x | Bloodmoon night event |
| Ignited | 60x | Sunburst weather event |
| Starstruck | 50x | Starfall weather event |
| Rainbow | 30x | Rainbow Seed, Rainbow weather, or random roll |
| Electric | 25x | Lightning strike during a Lightning Storm |
| Amber | 20x | Amber Cranberry plant — 5% chance per fruit as it ripens (Fall Harvest) |
| Veil | 20x | Shadow Dragon pet applies when you plant a seed (10–37.5% based on variant) |
| Frozen | 14x | Snowfall weather event |
| Gold | 10x | Gold Seed, Goldmoon night, or random roll |
| Aurora | 1.5x | Aurora weather event (added v1.01.0) |
Multipliers come from the community wiki, sorted highest to lowest. The wiki notes that game files and in-game testing occasionally disagree while the game is balanced — treat exact numbers as subject to change. Pets can boost your odds: the Unicorn doubles Rainbow chance, the Golden Dragonfly doubles Gold chance, and the Shadow Dragon applies Veil (10–37.5% chance depending on variant).
Every Released Pet
Pets spawn around the map with a countdown timer — buy them with Sheckles (or Leaves in Fall Harvest) before it hits zero. They also come from eggs and player gifts. Variants roll on top: Big (1 in 50, 2x ability), Mega (1 in 1,000, 3x ability), and a separately-rolled Rainbow tier (1.25x ability — 0.5% from a Common Egg, 100% from a Rainbow Egg).
| Pet | Rarity | Ability |
|---|---|---|
| Frog | Common | +5 jump height |
| Bunny | Common | +5 walk speed |
| Owl | Uncommon | +12.5% view distance at night, hoots when a rare pet spawns |
| Dog | Uncommon | Bites and stuns thieves (2–4s), forces them to drop stolen items |
| Deer | Rare | Plants grow 10% faster |
| Turtle | Rare | +10 backpack space, −2 walk speed |
| Hedgehog | Rare | Rolling tackle + knockback, forces thieves to drop stolen items |
| Turkey | Rare | Pecks ground to dig up random seeds |
| Robin | Legendary | Eats ripe fruit and sometimes drops seeds |

| Golden Dragonfly | Mythic | 2x chance for crops to turn Gold |
| Unicorn | Mythic | 2x chance for crops to turn Rainbow |
| Bear | Mythic | Tackles intruders, pins them, then throws them out |
| Bald Eagle | Mythic | Snatches intruders and flies them out of your garden |
| Firefly | Mythic | Makes everyone's newly planted crops bigger |
| Fox | Mythic | Steals a seed from other players at night and brings it back |
| Wolf | Mythic | Summons 3–8 wild animals whenever a moon rises |

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Grow a Garden 2?
Grow a Garden 2 is the official standalone sequel to Grow a Garden, released June 12, 2026 by Strawberreh Squad — the developer group behind the original game, owned by DevNamedDavid. You plant seeds, grow crops, and sell produce for Sheckles, but with one defining twist: when night falls, other players can steal crops straight out of your garden.
How does stealing work in Grow a Garden 2?
Stealing only happens at night (a 2-minute window in each day/night cycle). You can take crops from any garden whose owner is away — an unlocked icon appears over gardens open to theft. You must carry the stolen crop back to your own garden on foot to keep it, since teleporting is disabled while carrying stolen goods. Disconnecting also drops your loot. Bamboo and Mushrooms take 3 seconds to grab; everything else is instant.
Is stealing free in Grow a Garden 2?
Yes — stealing costs nothing. That is one of the biggest changes from the original Grow a Garden, where stealing required 37 Robux or 37 Tokens per steal.
What are the best stealing techniques in Grow a Garden 2?
The five most common techniques are: the "Wait" trick (watch for owners to leave), the AFK method (find idle players outside their garden), the Join Snipe (steal during the brief spawn window when a player first joins), the Wheelbarrow method (carry a garden owner out of their plot to unlock it), and the Special Night technique (steal while owners are distracted by Gold or Rainbow Moon events).
How do I protect my garden from stealing?
Staying inside your garden locks it completely. If you leave, layer your defenses: Cactus as a perimeter ring, Dragon's Breath at choke points (225M Sheckles), Venus Fly Trap near your best crops (7M). Guard pets like Dog (50K Leaves, cheapest defender), Bee, Bear, and Ice Serpent (freezes raiders solid) fight automatically. The Gnome gear (100K Sheckles) defends passively for 10 minutes — even while you're offline. Hit thieves with your free Shovel to recover stolen crops.
What is the best defense pet in Grow a Garden 2?
The Ice Serpent (Super, 20M Sheckles from Guild Rewards) is the strongest — it freezes intruders solid. The Bear (Mythic, 5M Sheckles) tackles and throws them out. For budget defense, the Dog (Uncommon, 50K Leaves) bites and stuns thieves for 2–4 seconds while forcing them to drop stolen items. The Scarecrow (Mythic, Exclusive Harvest Egg) locks thieves for 1–3 seconds after you shovel them.
What is the Super rarity in Grow a Garden 2?
Super is the new top rarity tier, sitting above Mythic in the seven-tier ladder (Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic, Super). Super items include the Dragon's Breath crop (225,000,000 Sheckles with a 0.2% shop restock chance) and pets like Raccoon, Black Dragon, Ice Serpent, and Shadow Dragon. The Secret rarity (Kitsune) sits above Super.
How do guilds work in Grow a Garden 2?
Guilds are created at the Guild Stand (run by the NPC Gilbert) for 99 Robux — joining via invite is free. Guilds hold up to 50 members and compete in weekly competitions scored by harvest weight at 1 point per gram. Leaderboard placement pays out exclusive rewards through your Mailbox, including the guild-exclusive Black Dragon pet.
Do mutations stack in Grow a Garden 2?
No — each crop carries exactly one mutation at a time, a major change from the original game's multiplicative stacking. A crop's sell value is its base price multiplied by its size and its single mutation multiplier. Among released mutations, Glow (from Star Fruit) is the highest at 100x, followed by Eclipsed at 80x and Chakra, Bloodlit, and Ignited at 60x.
What is the Fall Harvest in Grow a Garden 2?
Fall Harvest is a separate map added August 2, 2026 with its own garden, currency (Leaves), 12 new pets (including Dog, Fox, Scarecrow, Shadow Dragon, and Kitsune), and a werewolf night mechanic where one random player per server transforms and is the only one who can steal. New mutations like Veil (20x, from Shadow Dragon) and Chakra (60x, from Kitsune) are exclusive to Fall Harvest pets.
Does my progress from the original Grow a Garden carry over?
No. Grow a Garden 2 is a separate Roblox experience with its own place, economy, and code system — everyone starts fresh with a new plot. The original Grow a Garden is still online and playable.
