Evade
Roblox's nextbot-chase game: walking PNGs with a looping sound hunt the server, and you have 3 minutes a round to not get caught. 204 maps in four difficulties, a roster of 306 nextbot names, a movement system built around bunny-hopping, and 9B+ visits since August 2022.
Evade is a Roblox survival game by Hexagon Development Community where nextbots — walking PNG images — chase players who must survive 3 minutes per round. Rounds pay Tokens (for perks and utilities) and XP; Points buy cosmetics in a daily-rotating shop. There are 204 maps across Easy/Normal/Hard/Expert and 230 nextbots in the public pools. 5 codes currently work.
What Evade actually is
The wiki's own description is the honest one: an action-parkour game where movement is the key to surviving the nextbots. A nextbot is a flat image — a meme, a celebrity, a Half-Life or Team Fortress 2 character — that slides across the map along a navigation mesh, announces itself with a looping proximity sound and a red screen tint that grows as it closes, and deals 125 damage on touch. Up to four are active per round on a normal server, fewer when the server is full. They have around 500,000 health, so nobody kills them; you outrun them.
The game was developed by OsterDog and Beefchoplets, published under the Hexagon Development Community group (the Tower Blitz studio, whose assets the wiki notes Evade borrows heavily), alpha-tested from June 10th, 2022 and released on August 4th, 2022. Roblox files it under Horror; the wiki says the listed genre is now Survival. As of the wiki's last edit the client is on version 49.4.0 and the most recent update is The 4th Anniversary Update.
The Roblox API on August 17, 2026 reported 9.05 billion visits, 8.14 million favourites and about 34,000 concurrent players on a 15-player server size.

Start here: rounds, currencies, skins and voice chat
How a round works
Four maps come up in a vote (three in the earliest alphas). The winning map loads, nextbots spawn, and the goal is the same on every map — survive 3 minutes. Higher map difficulty pays more Tokens and XP at the end. A nextbot touch downs you; if the round has more than two players, someone can carry and revive you (or use a Defibrillator or Revive Grenade). Go down a third time and you are out until next round. Finish the timer without going down, and without sitting in a camping spot, and you bank a Win. Every third round is a Special Round: Speed (1.4x player and nextbot speed, 1.1x rewards), Darkness (black fog, 1.2x rewards), Faster and Super Fast Nextbots (1.2x / 1.4x nextbot speed), Survive Bobo, Angry Munci, Mimicry, Incursion and more.
Controls that matter
WASD and Space; Ctrl or C to crouch and slide (sliding bashes doors); 1 selects your utility, 2 opens the usables wheel, F toggles your light, E interacts and picks up downed players, R looks behind you, T whistles to mark your position even when downed, O swaps first and third person, M returns to the menu, Tab is the leaderboard and N opens the VIP panel on your own server. All from the wiki's Controls table.
Tokens, XP, Points, Wins — and event tickets
Tokens (a.k.a. Cash) are the round currency and buy the four gear classes in the regular shop: perks (passive boosts — you can equip two since the Overhaul), utilities (last 1-3 rounds), usables (one use) and lights (for dark maps). XP only fills your level bar, and levels gate some items. Points come from daily missions and daily rewards and buy cosmetics. Wins just count clean survivals. Event currencies — Tickets were the first, in Halloween 2022; Bubbles in Summer 2026 — only spend in that event's battle pass, and event maps pay 25% more of them.
Skins and the Daily Shop
Cosmetics arrived in The Skins Update (September 4th, 2022) and are split into six types: cosmetics, item skins, characters (full-avatar skins such as Jard, Bobo and Trooper), nametags, unusuals and carry animations. They rotate through the Daily Shop every 24 hours in five slots for Points — item skins are the cheapest tier (15 Points for a Green Barrier), unusuals the dearest — and also come from codes, events and gamepasses. Nothing here affects gameplay; the wiki is explicit that all Robux products are cosmetic.
Voice chat and Casual
VC Only is a 30-player gamemode that requires Roblox voice chat to join and disables text chat entirely; it has been in the game since September 4th, 2022. If you are new, the wiki's own recommendation is Casual: infinite lives, 4-minute rounds, no reviving, and 0.8x rewards. Pro Servers need level 50+. Note that the in-round gamemode vote was removed on July 18th, 2026 with the Summer rewrite.
Movement, in one paragraph
Bunny-hop: jump the instant you land, every time. Air-strafe: turn the camera and the character the same way while airborne, alternating sides each jump. Slide-hop: hold slide while b-hopping without holding forward. The wiki says holding jump slows you, that a macro is unnecessary for plain b-hopping, and that a well-timed "flick hop" on flat ground can outrun Angry Munci. Colas, Speed Pads, Hermes Shoes and Stilts stack speed on top.
The maps and the things that chase you on them
The signature page of this cluster parses every map tile on the wiki's Maps page — 74 regular maps in Easy / Normal / Hard / Expert, plus small variants, 37 event maps, special, exclusive, 17 legacy, removed and unreleased — and every name on the Nextbots page: 230 in the public Common and Uncommon pools (32of them "special"), the rest exclusive, legacy, removed or unconfirmed. For 38 nextbots the page also carries the wiki's stated speed boost and behaviour, read from each one's own page.
A few facts worth taking in first: FlatGrass is the largest map and Gymnasium the smallest; Complex is the oldest, from July 2022 pre-alpha; Maze has never been removed since July 21st-22nd, 2022; and Desert Bus, Pit Stop and Ocean Drive have a bus that hits nextbots. Angry Munci's 66% boost with no acceleration is what the wiki calls possibly the hardest matchup; Cat Jard and Wolf Rebel are the fastest at a stated 255%.
Common questions
What is Evade on Roblox?
A survival game by Hexagon Development Community (developers OsterDog and Beefchoplets) built on the Garry's Mod "Nextbot Chase" idea: nextbots — walking PNG images with a sound attached — hunt the server and you have to survive for 3 minutes a round. It went into alpha on June 10th, 2022, released on August 4th, 2022, and has passed 9B+ visits with roughly 8.1 million favourites.
How does a round of Evade work?
Players vote on one of four maps, spawn in, and survive for 3 minutes while up to four nextbots (fewer on busy servers) chase them along the map's NAV-MESH. A nextbot touch deals 125 damage and downs you; teammates can carry and revive you, and since Summer 2026 you can be downed three times before you are out. Surviving the full timer without going down (and without sitting in a camping spot) earns a Win; every round pays Tokens and XP scaled by map difficulty. Every third round is a Special Round with a modifier — Speed, Darkness, Faster Nextbots, Survive Bobo and so on.
What is the difference between Tokens and Points in Evade?
Tokens (the wiki also calls them Cash) are the main currency: earned every round, spent in the regular shop on perks, utilities, usables and lights. Points are the cosmetic currency: earned from daily missions and daily rewards and spent in the Daily Shop, which rotates every 24 hours and sells characters, item skins, unusuals, emotes, nametags and carry animations. XP is separate and only fills your level bar. Event currencies (Tickets in Halloween 2022, Bubbles in Summer 2026) only work in that event's battle pass.
Are there working Evade codes?
5, per the wiki's Codes page as of August 17, 2026: HAPPY4THBIRTHDAYEVADE, isurviveddatahaul, Summer2026, TrollgeTungTungEyelessBaldiBacteriaPacmanDefect, hdc_roblox. All pay Points. Codes are typed into the codes icon on the right side of the main menu and are case-sensitive. The other 26 codes the game has released are expired and listed on the codes page with their release dates.
How many maps does Evade have?
The wiki's Maps page hatnote says 188 in total. Its tiles, which we parse directly, list 204 names across every pool: 74 regular maps in four difficulties (Easy, Normal, Hard, Expert), plus small variants, 37 event maps, special and VIP-exclusive maps, 17 legacy maps, and removed and unreleased ones. The two counts differ because the wiki's own prose totals and its tiles disagree slightly; we show both rather than picking one silently.
Which Evade nextbot is the fastest?
Of the 38 nextbots whose individual wiki pages we have read, Cat Jard and Wolf Rebel carry the biggest stated boost (255%, "approximate speed 105.5"), then Super Munci (240%) and Angry Munci (66%, which the wiki calls roughly 1.8x a regular nextbot and possibly the hardest to face because it has no acceleration). The average nextbot is about 2% slower than a player, which is why bunny-hopping matters. Speeds for the rest of the roster are not published on the hub page and we do not guess them.
What is VC Only in Evade?
A gamemode that requires Roblox voice chat to join; text chat is disabled and the cap is 30 players. It has existed since The Skins Update (September 4th, 2022). Casual is the other one new players should know: infinite lives, 4-minute rounds, no reviving and 0.8x rewards. Note the wiki records gamemode voting being removed from the main game on July 18th, 2026 with the Summer 2026 rewrite.
How do you go faster in Evade?
Bunny hopping — jumping the moment you land — and air-strafing (turning the camera and character the same way mid-air) are the wiki's core techniques; slide-hopping adds the slide key while you b-hop. The wiki says holding jump slows you down and that flick-hopping can outrun Angry Munci on flat ground. Perks like Hermes Shoes and Stilts and utilities like Speed Pads stack on top. Since the 4th Anniversary Update you bash doors down automatically above 50 speed.
Where all of this comes from
Every fact on this hub is taken from the Evade Fandom wiki via its MediaWiki API on August 17, 2026— the Evade, Maps, Nextbots, Currencies, Downed, Casual, VC Only, Gamemodes, Special Rounds, Perks, Daily Shop, Characters, Advanced Movement, Summer 2026, 4th Anniversary and Codes pages — plus the Roblox games API for visits and player counts. Where the wiki's own totals disagree with its own lists (map and nextbot counts), both figures are shown. Nothing on this page is labelled a rumour because nothing on it is one; the wiki's "Unconfirmed" nextbots are listed under that heading on the maps page and nowhere else.
