Weapon Tier List (April 2026)
Ranked by effectiveness in competitive play (ranked 1v1, 2v2, 3v3). S-tier weapons dominate most situations; tier drops indicate higher skill ceiling or niche use cases.
S-Tier — Dominant
Pick these first. Effective in nearly every scenario and map.
Default primary. Best all-rounder — works at every range and map. Low recoil, fast TTK, and versatile. #1 weapon overall.
Contraband SMG. Fires in precise 2-round bursts — insane damage when mastered. Hard to obtain but dominant in ranked.
AOE blast damage that exceeds some primaries at range. Incredible on clustered maps. Can clear corners instantly.
A-Tier — Very Strong
Excellent weapons that excel in the right hands and situations.
Best close-range primary. One-shot potential. Dominant on indoor maps (Backrooms, Station, Graveyard).
Can deflect bullets — unique defensive ability. Excellent for aggressive rushers. High skill ceiling.
Dash-forward active ability closes gaps instantly. Hard to punish on approach. Solid ranked pick.
Beginner-friendly AR variant. Low recoil, consistent damage. Great for new players learning tracking.
High fire rate SMG, low recoil. Excellent at close-to-mid range. Best beginner SMG.
B-Tier — Situational
One-shot headshot potential. Dominates open maps (Playground, Bridge). High skill ceiling — punishing to miss.
Silent shots, good damage per bolt. Viable in ranked for stealth plays. Limited ammo count.
Area denial tool. Forces enemies out of cover. Strategic value in team modes.
Fast attack speed. Half the contract kill count of other weapons (easier to complete contracts).
C-Tier — Niche
Niche situational use. High skill needed to arc shots. Outclassed by Exogun for splash damage.
Slow fire rate punishes misses. Viable only when fully mastered. Hard to recommend for ranked.
Game Modes
RIVALS has 21+ game modes across competitive ranked, casual duels, and team formats.
Ranked Modes
The purest form of RIVALS. First to 5 wins takes the match. Ranked 1v1 is the most competitive mode.
Two teams of two. First to 5 round wins. Great for learning team coordination.
Three-on-three team duels. Ranked 3v3 has its own separate ELO ladder.
Casual Modes
Larger team format. Casual only — no ranked 4v4.
Full 5-on-5 team battles. The largest standard duel format.
Dedicated queue matching new players together. Best starting point for beginners.
1v1v1, 2v2v2, and 3v3v3 variants. Every player for themselves — great for practicing aggression.
Purple team (Nosniy Games) vs Yellow team (Sensei Global). First to 250 points or most points after 8 minutes wins. Players can join mid-match.
Progress through weapons with each kill. First player to get a kill with every weapon wins.
Ranked Mode
RIVALS ranked is the most competitive mode, available in 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 formats with separate ELO ladders.
Entry Requirements
- 1Reach Level 30
- 2Play 10 placement matches to reveal your initial rank
- 3Roblox account must be at least 14 days old
Ranked Restrictions
- Aim Assist reduced by 50%
- Auto Shoot locked to Dynamic mode
- Loadout swaps limited to 2 per duel
Placements are based on performance, not just wins. 2 wins with excellent stats can place Platinum II.
Rank Ladder
Entry level. Focus on learning weapon mechanics and basic positioning.
Improved fundamentals. Start learning crosshair placement.
Consistent players. Map awareness becomes important.
Above-average. Weapon mastery and mid-fight decision-making matters.
High skill. Advanced techniques: counter-strafing, sound cues, read-and-react.
Near top 1%. Meta mastery and situational adaptation.
Special rank above Onyx. Top competitive players.
Highest rank. Awarded Mythical Arch skins at season end (Arch Katana, Arch Crossbow, Arch Molotov — rotating).
ELO scales based on opponent rank. Beating a lower-ranked player gives fewer ELO than beating a higher-ranked player. Losing to a lower-ranked player loses more ELO.
Keys & Wraps System
RIVALS has a robust cosmetic economy. Keys are the main currency; Wraps are weapon skins. Neither affects stats — it's pure cosmetic.
Keys
Primary progression currency. Used for almost all unlocks.

Beginner Tips
The fastest path from "confused" to "consistently winning" in RIVALS.
Every RIVALS session should start with 5 minutes in the Shooting Range. Practice crosshair placement, movement, and your weapon's recoil before competitive matches.
Both have low recoil and consistent damage at any range. Master one AR before branching out. The Assault Rifle is the default primary for a reason.
Pre-aim where enemies will walk through. If your crosshair is already at head height, you're halfway to a kill before you even pull the trigger.
Peek out to shoot, return to cover to reload. Force enemies to push into your crosshair rather than trading shots in the open.
Don't queue into ranked immediately. The 2v2 Beginner Queue pairs you against similar-skill players and builds fundamental habits with lower pressure.
Spend time in Settings finding your ideal mouse/joystick sensitivity. This single setting affects your accuracy more than almost anything else.
RIVALS has directional audio — footsteps and gunshots tell you where enemies are before they're visible. Headphones turn sound into a wallhack.
Even weapons you don't main: complete the 5-kill contract for 1 Key. Across all weapons this adds up fast. Keys unlock Wrap Boxes and progression items.
Ranked requires Level 30 and 10 placement matches. Use casual modes to hit that threshold and learn each map before your placements count.
Earn your Season Pass Skin Tickets (10 per season = 1 free skin). Focus Keys on Wrap Boxes. Robux cases are for dedicated players who've maxed free options.
