99 Nights
in the Forest
Survive 99 nights in a haunted forest. Build your campfire by day. Avoid the entities by night. Find the 4 missing children to unlock the true ending.
Mission Objective
You have been stranded in a forest that is not what it appears to be. Something hunts within it. Your mission: survive 99 nights. Gather resources by day. Build your campfire. Stay alive when darkness falls.
Four children have gone missing in the forest. Finding them — in the right order — is the only path to the true ending.
Core Loop
Gather wood, stone, ore. Build and upgrade campfire. Scout entity patrol routes.
Return to campfire. Prepare shelter. Equip class abilities.
Entities spawn. Stay hidden. Move only when necessary.
Reach dawn. Repeat. Find the missing children. Complete 99 nights.
Entity Threat Board
All confirmed hostile entities. Study their behavior. Your survival depends on it.
The primary antagonist. A grotesque bipedal deer-like creature that stalks the forest at night. Its unnatural gait and hollow eyes have traumatized survivors across all 99 nights.
Patrols the forest at night. Speeds up when it detects sound or movement. Can hear players running and sees through most hiding spots.
Loses tracking ability in dense foliage. Slower near campfire light. Can be temporarily distracted by noise sources away from you.
Crouch-walk near The Deer. Never run unless you have a significant head start. The Deer is faster than any class on foot.
An unnervingly fast predator introduced with the Jungle biome. Smaller than The Deer, it compensates with sheer speed and relentless pursuit. Players report it as "The Deer but worse."
Exclusively spawns in Jungle biome. Extremely fast movement — faster than The Deer. Will sprint directly at detected players with minimal warning.
Has a shorter detection range than The Deer. Loses targets if you break line-of-sight around trees.
The Jungle is high-risk. Never explore the Jungle biome without the Explorer or Assassin class. If The Cat starts chasing, get behind the largest tree you can find.
A cave-dwelling creature that patrols near the Bat Cave landmark. Its sonic screech can summon Cultists to your location — making a bat encounter rapidly escalate into multiple threats.
Stays near the Bat Cave entrance. Emits sonic screech on player detection, which calls Cultists. Does not leave the cave area.
Fixed patrol zone. If you avoid the Bat Cave at night, you avoid The Bat. Can be bypassed by going around its patrol zone.
Mark the Bat Cave location during the day. At night, give it a wide berth. The Bat + Cultist combo is deadlier than The Deer alone.
A horned creature that charges players it detects. Less persistent than The Deer — it will disengage after losing sight of you.
Charges in a straight line when it spots a player. Loses interest faster than The Deer. Can be dodged by sidestepping the charge.
Predictable charge pattern. Sidestep the charge and it overshoots. Loses interest quickly after losing visual.
If The Ram charges, dodge sideways. It will run past you. Do not climb trees — The Ram can track you waiting in trees.
An aerial threat that patrols from above. Its bird's-eye view gives it detection advantage over ground-level hiding spots. Swoops to attack detected players.
Flies above the forest canopy. Harder to detect at night until it swoops. Sees over obstacles that block ground-level entities.
Dense jungle canopy blocks its aerial view. Indoor structures offer protection. It cannot fly into caves.
In open biomes (Snow, Volcanic), The Owl is more dangerous due to fewer hiding spots. Stay near trees or structures when The Owl is patrolling.
Robed figures that roam the forest. Regular Cultists patrol predictably. Jungle Cultist variant (added Feb 28) has increased aggression and speed in Jungle biome.
Patrol in set paths. Summoned by The Bat's screech. Jungle Cultists are more aggressive and move faster than standard variants.
Predictable patrol routes. Can be waited out. Losing line-of-sight breaks their chase.
Map out Cultist patrol routes on night 1-5. By night 10 you should know which paths to avoid. Cultists near the Bat Cave are the most dangerous cluster.
Wild boars added with the Jungle biome update. Primarily environmental hazards — they will attack if provoked but do not actively hunt players like other entities.
Roam in Jungle biome. Aggressive if player comes within close range. Does not actively seek players.
Slow to react. Easy to outmaneuver. Provocation range is small — maintain distance.
Boars are a Jungle biome tax. Give them space and they ignore you. The bigger threats in Jungle are The Cat and Jungle Cultists.
Class Tier List
35+ classes ranked by overall survival utility. Purchased in the lobby General Store. Limited classes available during seasonal events only.
Best general class for new players. Stamina + resistance covers both offensive and survival scenarios.
Dominant in combat and exploration. Night vision makes The Owl less threatening. Bat form is the most powerful escape tool in the game.
Top pick for speedrunners. Invisibility + speed lets you reach children faster. Weak in sustained fights.
Best for first-time completions. Pathfinder ability removes child-location guesswork. Map awareness prevents entity ambushes.
Essential for players focusing on base-building and campfire upgrades. Dramatically accelerates the Campfire Level grind.
Skeleton minion is a game-changer for managing The Bat + Cultist scenarios. Pulls aggro so you can escape or complete objectives.
Functionally similar to Assassin for speed but with terrain bypass. Added for Easter event (March 28, 2026). Limited availability.
Good for players who want to engage entities at range. Traps help protect campfire during night.
Useful in multiplayer. In solo, Cyborg's passive resistance outperforms Medic's reactive healing.
Strong during Halloween event for potion-based objectives. Limited outside event context.
Very niche. Resource savings matter early but Lumberjack's gathering bonuses make Builder redundant past night 20.
Missing Children
Four children are hidden in the forest. Find all four — in the correct order — to unlock the true ending. Campfire level determines who you can reach.
Campfire Level Requirements
True Ending
Rescue all 4 missing children AND survive all 99 nights to trigger the true ending cinematic. You receive a unique cosmetic reward and permanent “True Survivor” badge.
Biome Guide
The Forest and Deep Forest are always present. Three additional biomes (Snow, Volcanic, Jungle) each have a 1-in-3 chance of spawning alongside the main forest.
The default biome. Dense pine trees, clearings, and the main campfire location. Every run starts here. Contains the most resources but also houses The Deer and The Bat.
- ›Main campfire spawn point
- ›Bat Cave landmark
- ›Multiple shelter-building spots
- ›Highest resource density
The darkest region of the map. Visibility is severely reduced even with light sources. Entity density is highest here. Contains the Koala Kid but approaching without max campfire level is extremely dangerous.
- ›Severely reduced visibility
- ›Highest entity density
- ›Koala Kid location (final child)
- ›Rare resource nodes
A snow-covered expanse with minimal tree cover. Open terrain makes hiding from The Owl nearly impossible, but The Deer is easier to spot against white snow. Unique cold mechanic drains health without warmth.
- ›Cold damage mechanic — warmth items required
- ›Open terrain — reduced cover
- ›Unique snow-only resources
- ›The Owl is deadlier here
Rocky terrain with lava pools and geothermal vents. Standing too close to lava deals tick damage. Fewer entities, but terrain itself is deadly. Houses rare volcanic resources for advanced crafting.
- ›Lava damage zones
- ›Geothermal vent platforms
- ›Rare volcanic resources
- ›Fewest entities of any biome
Dense jungle canopy that blocks The Owl's aerial detection. However, it introduced The Cat (fastest entity in the game) and Jungle Cultists. High risk, high reward — contains the most XP per night.
- ›Canopy blocks The Owl's detection
- ›The Cat exclusive biome
- ›Jungle Cultist variant
- ›Highest XP density
- ›Boar environmental hazards

What is 99 Nights in the Forest?
99 Nights in the Forest is a Roblox horror/survival game where you must survive 99 nights in a haunted forest. During the day, you gather resources and build your campfire. At night, deadly entities hunt you. The true goal is finding all 4 missing children hidden throughout the forest to unlock the true ending.
Who are the entities in 99 Nights in the Forest?
The main entities are: The Deer (primary antagonist, extreme threat), The Cat (Jungle biome, fastest entity), The Bat (caves, summons Cultists), The Ram (charges players), The Owl (aerial patrol), Cultists (roaming/summoned), and Boars (Jungle biome environmental hazard).
What are all the codes for 99 Nights in the Forest?
Active codes: "afterparty" (15 Diamonds — redeem via Codes button in lobby) and "yay fishing" (2 Gems — type in chat with Campfire Level 2 and a fishing rod). These are the only verified active codes as of April 2026.
How do I find all the missing children?
There are 4 missing children. Dino Kid is found at Campfire Level 2 (northwest fallen logs). Kraken Kid requires Level 4 and the Blue Door cave (eastern ridge). Squid Kid needs Level 5 (southern ruins). Koala Kid needs Level 6 AND all other children rescued first (Deep Forest center). Finding all 4 unlocks the true ending.
What is the best class in 99 Nights in the Forest?
For all-around play, Cyborg is the best class — enhanced stamina and damage resistance help in all situations. For combat, Vampire's life steal + night vision + bat form is exceptional. For speedrunning the true ending, Assassin or Explorer are top picks.
What biomes are in 99 Nights in the Forest?
There are 5 biomes: Forest (always present, starting area), Deep Forest (always at map edges, darkest zone), Snow (freezing temps, 1/3 chance spawn), Volcanic (lava hazards, 1/3 chance), and Jungle (canopy cover, The Cat, 1/3 chance — added February 2026).
