Biomes & Locations
Every fishing location in Fisch -- from beginner ponds to endgame depths
How we source this page. Biome descriptions, notable species, and NPCs below are summarised from the public Fisch Fandom wiki and the community-run Fischipedia. Last verified: 2026-04-21.
We deliberately do not publish exact in-game prices, bestiary-completion percentages, weight caps, or per-fish C$/kg values here β those change every balance patch. For live numbers, check the wiki or the in-game UI directly. Fish counts shown are approximate.
Moosewood
BeginnerThe starting town where every angler begins. Calm freshwater ponds and a small harbour β the on-ramp for learning the core fishing loop.
Spawn point. Pierre teaches the tutorial.
Terrapin Island
EarlyA turtle-shaped island south of Moosewood with sandy shores and palm trees. An early-game stop with its own NPC lineup.
Early-game destination with accessible fishing.
Roslit Bay
IntermediateA western harbour town known for Arapaima and a merchant hamlet. Also the gateway to the Coral Reef route toward Atlantis.
Coral Reef here is the community-known entry route toward Atlantis.
Mushgrove Swamp
IntermediateA misty swampland of oversized mushrooms and abandoned structures, with a hidden Alligator Marsh for braver anglers.
Smokescreen Totem creates fog. Swamp Lurker is rain-only per community reports.
Snowcap Island
IntermediateA frozen island with glaciers and ice peaks. Features a mysterious cave system and a secluded pond that community players associate with the Pond Emperor.
Pond Emperor is a widely-reported rare catch in the secluded pond.
Sunstone Island
IntermediateA former quarry northwest of Moosewood. Home to the wizard Merlin, who sells enchanting materials, and his daughter Rhea.
Merlin is the canonical enchanting-material vendor.
The Ocean
IntermediateThe vast open water that surrounds every island. Home to a broad mix of pelagic species and occasional weather events like whirlpools.
The largest biome by area. Species and rarity vary by region and weather.
The Arch
IntermediateA natural stone-arch formation between Mushgrove Swamp and the Statue of Sovereignty. Notable for Rabbitfish and the NPC Caleia.
Caleia offers the Destiny Rod once the player's bestiary progress is sufficient; check in-game UI for the current threshold.
Forsaken Shores
AdvancedA pirate-themed island near Roslit Bay with a skull-shaped cave, abandoned pirate camps, and ghostly species that appear at night.
Ghost Fish is a night-only catch.
Ancient Isle
AdvancedAn archaeological-themed island featuring prehistoric fish species and the Megalodon line, including the rare Phantom Megalodon.
Home to the Megalodon line. Exact Phantom Megalodon rarity/weight drifts with patches β check the wiki for live values.
Vertigo (The Great Abyss)
AdvancedA dark underwater cave lit by crystals, reached via a whirlpool entrance. The canonical starting point for deep-sea content, with rare species like Nessie.
Completing the Vertigo bestiary is the community-known prerequisite for The Depths (via a Depths Key).
Keeper's Altar
AdvancedAn underground enchanting chamber reached via an elevator at the Statue of Sovereignty. The canonical place to enchant rods.
The gameβs enchanting hub. Entry fee amount drifts with patches.
Desolate Deep
AdvancedA deep-sea zone behind Sunstone Island, reached via a buoy. Players report it requires Advanced Diving Gear and features sea mines and bioluminescent coral.
Desolate Pocket is a hidden sub-island with an oxygen refill.
The Depths
EndgameAn endgame fishing zone gated behind Vertigo completion. Home to some of the gameβs most valuable and aggressive deep-sea creatures.
Sea Leviathan is one of the most valuable catches at this tier.
Atlantis
EndgameThe underwater city reached via the Coral Reef at Roslit Bay. A submarine is required. Contains multiple sub-zones and the Kraken line.
The Kraken line lives here. Exact weights/values drift β see the wiki.
Northern Expedition
AdvancedA separate Arctic-themed map with camps and ice-fishing mechanics. Features themed rods tied to each camp.
Fish species here vary by camp β refer to the wiki rather than a static list, as Expedition content has seen multiple patches.
Exploration Tips
What order should I explore biomes?
Start at Moosewood to learn the basics, then explore Terrapin Island and Roslit Bay. Once you have a solid rod, tackle Mushgrove Swamp and Snowcap Island. Advanced players should head to Ancient Isle and Vertigo, with endgame content in The Depths and Atlantis.
How do I unlock locked biomes?
Each locked biome has specific requirements. Some need items like the Depths Key (100% Vertigo Bestiary), others need equipment like Advanced Diving Gear or a Submarine. Check each biome's unlock requirement for details.
Are there hidden areas within biomes?
Yes! Many biomes have secret sub-areas like the Alligator Marsh in Mushgrove Swamp, the Snowcap Pond on Snowcap Island, and the Desolate Pocket behind Sunstone Island. Explore thoroughly and look for hidden entrances.
