Fisch Rods
Where to check current rod stats, prices, and unlock paths.
Why this page doesn't publish its own chart. Fisch rod stats (Lure Speed %, Luck %, Control, Resilience, max weight) and their Beli/C$ prices are tuned across balance patches, and several popular rods are quest or event rewards whose acquisition path has been revised multiple times. Rather than republish numbers that go stale, we point you to the sources that keep pace and explain how to read a rod\u2019s stat line.
Where to check live values
Each rod has its own page listing current Lure Speed, Luck, Control, Resilience, max weight, cost, and unlock path.
Alternate community wiki for cross-checking stat changes after a patch.
Prices and stats shown at Moosewood, Roslit Bay, and every vendor NPC are the authoritative current-patch numbers.
How it works
The four stat pillars
Every rod tunes four knobs: Lure Speed (how fast the fish bites), Luck (bias toward rarer species), Control (hook stays on the target during the minigame), and Resilience (how much the rod can absorb before snapping). A rod with 0 Luck at a modest max-weight can still be the best choice for grinding Common species; a Luck-heavy rod shines at bestiary completion, not raw C$/hr.
Max weight gates content
Max weight caps what you can land. Under-leveling your rod for the biome you’re fishing means endgame species will break your line on contact. Match the rod to the heaviest species in the target biome, not the average.
Quest and event rods
Some of the most-asked-about rods (Magma, Destiny, Rod of the Depths, Zeus/Tempest/Champions line, Nocturnal, Aurora) are not for sale — you earn them by completing quests, trading specific species to NPCs, or participating in events. The Fandom wiki documents the current unlock chain for each; copy those exact steps before investing.
Frequently asked
Which rod should I buy first as a beginner?
Stay with your starter rod until you can afford the first paid upgrade at Moosewood, then progress one tier at a time as your bankroll allows. The wiki’s rod list sorts cleanly by price — each tier matches a biome you’ll unlock around the same time.
What’s the best rod in Fisch?
There isn’t a single best rod — Luck-heavy rods win for bestiary completion, max-weight rods win for endgame species, and mid-tier all-rounders are still the cheapest per hour for farming Common catches. Pick by goal and biome, not by tier list.
How do I get the Magma Rod?
Trade a Pufferfish to the Orc NPC at Roslit Bay — the exact species swap has been stable across patches, but verify the Fandom wiki in case it changes.
Can a rod break permanently?
No — when a rod’s durability hits zero it snaps on the current cast, but you don’t lose the rod itself. You re-equip and keep going.
