RIVALS Season 3: Launch Date, Ranked Reset & Current Meta Going In

Season 3 hits RIVALS on April 24 — confirmed via the official Roblox Events page. That's two days away, and a new season means a ranked reset, fresh contract rewards, and likely some weapon shakeups. Here's everything confirmed going in, plus the full current tier list so you're not walking in blind.

Season 3 Launch: What's Confirmed

Nosniy Games confirmed Season 3 on the official Roblox Events page, listing the drop as April 24, 2026. Specific Season 3 weapons, maps, and cosmetics haven't been officially revealed yet — the dev team has kept this one tight going into launch.

What we can confirm based on how every RIVALS season has worked:

  • Ranked reset — your ELO resets at season start. Your Season 2 final rank determines your placement tier going into Season 3.
  • New Season Contract — ranked win milestones, with a free skin at 200 wins as the top reward (standard format every season).
  • Mythical Arch skin — awarded to players who reach Archnemesis rank during the season.
  • Glory transfer — your ranked wins from Season 2 carry over as Glory points, influencing your starting placement.

Note: Season 3-specific weapons, map pool changes, and new cosmetics haven't been officially confirmed as of April 22. We'll update this post the moment they go live on April 24.

Where You'll Place in Season 3 Ranked

RIVALS uses a soft reset — your Season 2 rank is the biggest factor in your Season 3 starting tier. If you're on the cusp of a rank right now, push before April 24. Every rank up means a better starting point next season.

The Season Contract: How It Works

Each season has a Ranked Contract that tracks your wins and unlocks rewards at milestones. The final reward tier (typically 200 ranked wins) gives a free exclusive skin — you don't need to hit Archnemesis to earn it, just play enough ranked.

At season end, your total ranked wins convert to Glory, which determines your placement bonus next season. Players who went deep into ranked last season start Season 3 ahead — the contract is cumulative, not reset per season.

Pre-Season 3 Meta: What's Dominant Right Now

The current meta reflects the Labor of Love update (February 2026), which broadly nerfed hitscan weapons and shifted the advantage toward burst-fire. The Lucky update (March 13) added further balance tweaks and a new gamemode. These changes are still shaping ranked play as Season 3 begins.

TierWeaponsNotes
S — MetaBurst Rifle, Minigun, Shotgun, Sniper, Exogun, Revolver, Katana, TrowelBest damage-per-second or burst potential in current ranked
A — StrongAssault Rifle, Bow, Paintball Gun, Permafrost, Sling Shot, Hand Gun, ScytheViable in most ranks; Permafrost got close-range buff in Feb patch
B — SituationalGrenade Launcher, RPG, Uzi, KnifeNiche picks; punishing in the right hands
C — Avoid in rankedFlamethrower, Flare Gun, Fists, ChainsawOutclassed in almost every scenario

The biggest meta shift from February: hitscan nerfs pushed the advantage hard toward the Burst Rifle and Shotgun. Haul got its equip cooldown cut (1.7s → 1.25s) but damage dropped 50→40, making it situational rather than a staple. Permafrost is interesting on tight maps like Chess with its close-range buff, but its falloff now starts 10 studs earlier — know your map before picking it.

What to Expect from Season 3 Content

Nosniy Games has typically dropped 2–4 new maps per season, at least one new weapon, seasonal ranked skins, and cosmetic bundles at launch. The Lucky update in March showed willingness to add gamemodes mid-season, so there's a reasonable chance Season 3 opens with a new mode alongside the standard content.

Community speculation around a summer theme is circulating, and there's chatter about an assault-class weapon to challenge Burst Rifle dominance. None of this is confirmed — we'll know everything the moment April 24 hits.

Before Season 3 Starts: Quick Priority List

  1. Push your rank as high as you can before the April 24 reset
  2. Complete any remaining Season 2 contract milestones — unclaimed skin rewards don't carry over
  3. Get comfortable with Burst Rifle and Shotgun — they'll likely stay meta unless nerfed day one

Full Season 3 patch notes, weapon stats, and the updated tier list will be live on April 24 as soon as the update drops. Check our RIVALS hub for codes and ongoing coverage.
