Last Verified: October 24, 2026. Event layout, entities, Glitch's hint lines and tips come from the Doors Wiki (Fandom) pages for The Candy Vault, Item Skins, Skeleton Key, Pocket Mirror and The Archives. The Hollow prize comes from the Roblox Wiki. Badge counts are from Roblox's badge pages. The wiki has not published candy-per-run figures yet.

1,785,305 players own Sweet Deceit. Only 16,836 own Taking Candy From Abe.

That's under 1 in 100 Candy Vault escapers. One badge takes a single run. The other takes 10,000 candy.

Sweet Deceit is the badge The Hollow wants, and 755,274 people earned it in the last day alone.

Doors had 108,755 people playing at 19:25 UTC on October 24. The event runs October 22 to November 9, but The Hollow ends November 2.

How a run actually goes

Two halves: a quiet loot run, then a 20-minute chase.

Half one: The Estate

You start in the courtyard and walk into the mansion of Sir Abraham Creakstopher II. He's Creak from The Stairwell, now with a voice and a lot of opinions about his candy.

Nobody is chasing you yet.

This half is for looting. There are five routes through the mansion, with candy, food and keys lying on the floor or tucked into drawers. The 20-minute timer only applies to the descent, so take your time up here and check every drawer.

Watch for Jewelry Keys. They open item cases holding the good stuff: a Scanner, a Lunch Box or a Crucifix. You need a Crucifix later to get the Pocket Mirror, so open every case you can.

The Estate ends at the vault. Solve the lock puzzle with the large opener and get your whole party inside.

Cutscene: Abe tries to stop you, fails, pulls the fire alarm and tells you to take the stairs.

Half two: the descent

From here Abe hunts you down 50 doors of underground passages, and the 20-minute timer is running. It's built on the old Stairwell with extra entities, so anyone who learned Creak's patterns there has a head start.

Partway down you hit the R.I.P. machine. It applies modifiers that last a set number of rooms, or permanently.

In a party it only affects whoever used it. Some effects swap one entity in the roster for another, which can work for you or badly against you.

Look at Abe while you pick a modifier. The wiki lists a bug where he can sneak-attack through the gate during the R.I.P. menu if you aren't facing him.

Read Glitch's opening lines

At the start of each run, Glitch says lines that hint at which entities are in it. Learn them and you know what's coming before door 1.

If Glitch says something likeExpect
"The scrap you wanted grows many feet"Weavelings
"It watches you without a sound"Eyes
"It whispers 'psst!...' heed its call"Screech
"The grass has teeth that love to bite"Snare
"They came to scream, not trick, today"Drones (the Treaters)
"Whatever you hoard, you are made to eat"Socker
"Look up, or wear the bite tonight"Giggles
"It waits where no lamp takes hold"Lookman
"The tape rolls back, the channel is found"Noise
"The candy is yours until the receipt"Ransom
"Its crying echoes down the hall"Alma
"Little pumpkins in the hall"Stems

Each entity has more than one line, and the table shows one per entity. Abe and the fire alarm are guaranteed every run. Glitch also has a batch of lines the wiki hasn't matched to an entity yet.

The "It waits where no lamp takes hold" line appears twice on the wiki: once for Lookman and once in the unmatched list. Treat it as a probable Lookman run, not a sure thing.

The entities that changed

Most are straight reskins. These aren't:

  • Ransom wants 20 candy, not gold. In The Archives it's 500 gold in 90 seconds, or 75 damage and you lose your items. Twenty candy is cheap. Always keep 20 in your pocket and Ransom stops being a threat.
  • Sadako Hijack can show up when Ransom attacks you while Sadako Noise is in the run. That's the worst combo, so pay Ransom fast.
  • The Treaters from the old Trick or Treat event are back, but now they act like Drones.
  • Weavelings are new: scrap spiders that carry a scrappable item on their backs. Hold to grab it and they run.
  • Scrappers hurt you fast if you stand on one. Don't stand there to wait out a chase.
  • Maid Alma, Sadako Noise and Pumpkin Stems are chance spawns. Chef Cobbler and Butler Honcho are friendly. Cobbler stirs dough in the Dining Hall kitchen, and Honcho finally shows his face.

Bug: if Alma and Screech hit you at the same time, Alma's minigame can lock your camera so you can't turn to face Screech. If you hear the psst during an Alma grab, take the hit.

The door 50 vault and the Portrait trick

Escaping pays 3x candy, and there's a loot vault at door 50 with doors you unlock.

Bring a Skeleton Key and a Pocket Mirror to door 50. The key has 5 uses and spends one per locked door.

Throw the mirror and Portrait appears. Portrait duplicates almost anything in this event except edible candy, so dupe the key and you open twice as many vault doors.

You get the Pocket Mirror by holding a Crucifix while you interact with Portrait. That's another reason to grab a Crucifix from the Jewelry Key cases in The Estate.

The solo setup the wiki recommends is a Skeleton Key with the Starlight upgrade, the Pocket Mirror and a Crucifix, plus a Duplication candy if you find one. With all of that you can clear every vault door at door 50.

Taking Candy From Abe: the 10,000-candy badge

Each candy you eat gives 1 candy of event currency. Some objects around the map give more, and escaping triples your haul.

Nobody has a reliable per-run number yet. If someone quotes one, they're guessing. Still, 14,530 people got the badge in the past day, so it's doable.

The badge doesn't count candy you spend on item skins. Going for it? Save the skin shopping until it pops.

Skip the R.I.P. upgrades too. The wiki's tip section calls spending candy there a waste unless the modifier synergizes with your build.

What candy buys

Item skinPrice
Ghost Scanner500 Candy
Buster Scanner500 Candy
Ghost Lantern400 Candy
Buster Lantern400 Candy + 99 Robux

Everything above comes to 1,800 Candy and 99 Robux. Older Halloween skins also have candy prices, but nobody has confirmed which are back this year.

Getting The Hollow prize

Doors is one of nine Nightly Haunts games in Roblox's The Hollow event, which runs to November 2. Doors' prize is the All-Seeking Antlers.

The Roblox Wiki words the objective as completing The Estate map, and the Sweet Deceit badge you get at the end of the run says it unlocks during The Hollow. A full clear covers both.

Clear one full Candy Vault run before November 2 for the Hollow. After that, farm candy for Abe's badge at your own pace until November 9.

Softlock: clicking the entrance door can black out your screen and trap you. Walk through when the game lets you, and don't spam it.

Grab your free knobs before you queue: ACCESS GRANTED and ACCESS DENIED are 150 each, and PROTOCOL is 20 Stardust. The rest are on our Doors codes page.

FAQ

How do you get the Sweet Deceit badge in Doors?

Reach the end of the Candy Vault: loot The Estate, open the vault, then escape all 50 doors of the descent within 20 minutes. It counts for Roblox's The Hollow event.

When does the Doors Candy Vault end?

November 9, 2026. The Hollow, which uses the Sweet Deceit badge, ends earlier, on November 2.

How much candy do you need for Taking Candy From Abe?

10,000 candy collected in the Candy Vault. The badge doesn't count candy you spend on item skins.

What does Ransom do in the Candy Vault?

It demands 20 candy instead of the 500 gold it asks for in The Archives. Keep at least 20 candy on you.

Who is Sir Abraham Creakstopher II?

A reskinned Creak from The Stairwell. He owns the mansion, pulls the fire alarm once you break into the vault, then hunts you through the descent.

How do you get more loot from the door 50 vault?

Bring a Skeleton Key and a Pocket Mirror. Summon Portrait with the mirror, duplicate the key, and you can open twice as many vault doors.
