Last Verified: October 19, 2026. Prices, box odds, Battle Pass rewards and the Cauldron recipe come from the Murder Mystery 2 Wiki (Fandom) pages for Halloween Event 2026, 2026 Halloween Box, Emberbow, Embersickle, Emberscythe and the Mortal Bundle. The event page is a day old, and it disagrees with itself on the Battle Pass tier price.

The Emberscythe is a craft, not a drop. You need the Emberbow from the end of the Battle Pass and the Embersickle from the Halloween Box. The bow costs 100,000 Candies outright. The sickle is a 0.2% pull.

That second number is the whole event.

How to get the Emberscythe

The Cauldron sits behind the event NPC on the left side of the lobby. Put in one Emberbow and one Embersickle, and you get the Emberscythe, an Ancient knife.

The wiki says you can craft as many times as you like "as long as you have the required materials." Read that as one bow and one sickle per scythe.

There's also a low chance of a Chroma Emberscythe from the craft. It and the Chroma Emberbow are the first Chroma Ancients MM2 has ever had. No odds are published for the Chroma craft yet.

It's the first time since Season 1 you can craft an Ancient.

What the Emberscythe really costs

IngredientWhere fromCandy cost
EmberbowBattle Pass tier 30116,800 total (16,800 for tiers 2 to 29, then 100,000)
EmbersickleHalloween Box, 0.2%300,000 on average (500 boxes)
EmberscytheCauldronAbout 416,800 if you farm both

The bow is a fixed price. The sickle is not: 500 boxes is the average, averages lie to unlucky people, and the 13 free key boxes from the pass only shave about 7,800 Candies off it.

Halloween Box odds

The 2026 Halloween Box is the only crate in the event. It's ember-themed and costs 600 Candies or one Halloween Key.

RarityChanceItems
Common70%CandyCorn (gun), Skulls (knife), Bombs (gun), Bullets (knife)
Uncommon18%Glow, Brew, Drool (all knives)
Rare8%Catseye, Raven (knives)
Legendary4%Embergun
Godly0.2%Embersickle
Chroma0.004%Chroma Embersickle

The chances are per rarity, not per item. Roll Common and you get one of the four Commons. The listed odds add up to 100.204%, so at least one of them is rounded, and the Godly and Chroma rows may overlap. Treat 0.2% as a close figure, not an exact one.

How many boxes for an Embersickle?

Boxes openedCandiesChance of at least one Embersickle
13 (Battle Pass keys only)0 extra2.6%
10060,00018.1%
346207,60050%
500300,00063.2%
1,000600,00086.5%

Read the 500 row twice. Opening the "average" number of boxes still leaves more than a third of players without a sickle.

The Chroma Embersickle is worse: 1 in 25,000 boxes, or 15 million Candies on average. Nobody is unboxing that on purpose.

Battle Pass rewards

Every odd tier from 3 to 27 is a Halloween Key: 13 keys, 13 free box opens.

The tier price problem

The wiki's Battle Pass table says 600 Candies per tier. The overview paragraph on the same page says 800, and gives a 117,400 total that matches neither price.

The detailed table's 600 is the likelier number. At 800, tiers 2 to 29 would cost 22,400 instead of 16,800, and the bow route would be 122,400.

Check the in-game price on your first tier before you plan a budget around either number.

Is the Emberbow worth 100,000 Candies?

Yes, if you want the Emberscythe. The pass is the only listed source besides trading, and the bow is half the recipe.

The event runs to November 16. From today that's 28 days, so finishing the pass plus the bow needs roughly 4,200 Candies a day. If you're already behind that pace, leave boxes alone and put every Candy into the pass and the bow.

The Chroma Emberbow is murkier. The event page calls it a "very rare chance" at tier 30. Its own item page says it's bought at tier 30 for 30,000 Candies. Those don't line up, so don't plan around either until the wiki settles.

Where your Candies should go

The pass first, every time. Each tier is the same price as one box, and every other tier hands you a free box anyway.

  1. Buy tiers 2 to 29 (16,800 Candies). That's 13 Keys plus every item up to Emberknife.
  2. Open your 13 keys. A 2.6% shot at an Embersickle costs nothing extra once you own the tiers.
  3. Save for the Emberbow (100,000). It's guaranteed and it's half of the Emberscythe.
  4. Only then open boxes with Candies, and only if you're happy with a Common as the likely result.

For most players, trading for an Embersickle beats unboxing one. Every Emberscythe crafted needs one, which is worth keeping in mind before you offer yours up cheap.

Neither the Embersickle, the Emberbow nor the Emberscythe has a tier or value listed yet. All three say TBA. Check our MM2 value list before trading one away.

Mortal Bundle: the Robux godlies

OfferContentsPrice
MortalGodly knife1,699 Robux
ImmortalGodly gun1,699 Robux
Mortal BundleMortal + Immortal + Smolder effect3,399 Robux

Buying the knife and gun separately costs 3,398. The bundle is one Robux more and adds the Smolder effect.

Buying both? Get the bundle, since one extra Robux buys Smolder. Want just one? Buy that one, because the bundle isn't a discount.

Both godlies have Chroma counterparts listed as the Chroma Mortal set. The wiki doesn't say how those are obtained.

Daily quests, Event quests and Bingo

Three daily quests, refreshing at 8:00 AM UTC (3:00 AM EST). They pay extra Candies.

Event Quests sit on top of those and reward exclusive items for finishing your dailies. Skip a day and you lose the daily Candies and the Event Quest progress.

Bingo is back for the first time since Easter 2023. It's a 3x3 grid of challenges paying out effects and toys. The wiki hasn't listed the squares yet.

Maps and the lobby secret

Haunted House 2 is new, a remake of the original Haunted House. The older Halloween maps are back in rotation too:

  • Manor
  • Farmhouse
  • Mineshaft
  • Barn (Infection)
  • Vampire's Castle
  • Spaceship

The lobby is a small retro build modelled on MM2's 2014 to 2018 lobby. There's a secret room above the balcony over the voting pads.

To open it, click the skulls around the lobby in rainbow order. The wiki doesn't list which skull is which color, so you'll be working that bit out in-game.

Top collectors also get trophies. The top 100 receive blue reskins of the Emberbow.

What to do in your first hour

  • Do your three dailies before anything else. They reset at 8:00 AM UTC whether you touched them or not.
  • Buy tiers as you go. Don't sit on Candies waiting to open boxes.
  • Don't trade away anything Ember-themed while every value says TBA.
  • Ignore anyone pushing "MM2 Halloween codes." There aren't any. Our MM2 codes page has the full expired list if you want proof.
