Health and unlock are the infobox text from Black Death's page on the Jujutsu Shenanigans Fandom wiki, reproduced as written — ranges and hedges included. The version columns come from the wiki's Characters index; only characters filed under "Complete" there carry a finished version, which is why most of the roster shows none.

The wiki files this character under "Base Only", which is its own label for how completely the character is documented — not a power rating, and not ours.

This kit, counted

Every figure below is arithmetic over the move rows on this page. They describe the shape of the kit as documented — they are not a rating, and they cannot tell you whether Black Death beats anyone.

What the wiki leaves open for Black Death

  • The wiki names the awakened form ("Parthenogenesis") but publishes no moves for it, so only the base kit is documented below. That is exactly what the wiki’s "Base Only" section records — the form exists in the game, its moveset is simply not written up.

Base kit

Four numbered moves plus the Special, as the wiki lists them.

  • 1

    Festering Strikes

The user tactically swings their blade forwards thrice, with each slash applying injury through block and canceling ragdoll, and the final hit dealing its damage through block. Additionally, each swing can parry melee attacks, pushing the enemy away and allowing them to avoid all effects altogether. Keep in mind that this move grants no i-frames despite this.

    Detach

The user unattaches their upper right arm which holds their cursed tool and launches it forwards, leaving it connected to their body through a bridge of cockroaches. If the user was airborne, they will gain 360° aim as a platform of roaches appears under their feet to stall their fall. Depending on the result of the attack, the following will happen: *If the projectile travels 85 studs without hitting an enemy, the user will pull it back and reattach it, placing the move on cooldown. *If an enemy was hit, the blade will impale them and stick to their torso. If blocked, the target will not suffer any ragdoll During this, part of the user's moveset will witness major changes, mainly the inability to apply injury until the Festering Life Sword is reattached. **The blade is also able to hit walls, sticking to them and acting as a tangible platform that players can interact with.

    Chokehold

The user's extra pair of arms jolts forwards in an attempt to grab an enemy. If successful, they will hold the enemy by the neck, stalling their injury drain as they wind up a slash of their Festering Life Sword that will toss them away. This ability has no endlag on miss and can be used as long as the user is not stunned; allowing them to do it through their own block, attacks and even Awakening, though it will interrupt any ongoing action if the grab is successful or blocked.

  • 4

    Roach Swarm

The user motions for a horde of roaches to move 35 studs forwards and tear everything in front of them, ragdolling any targets away. The swarm's hitbox does not account for targets to the right of the user, but the damage dealt by the roaches will increase with every injury on the target.

  • Special

    Earthen Insect Trance

The user activates a cursed technique that summons two flying earthen insects that possess giant sacs carrying an unknown blinding substance. These insects will initially fly behind the user for 15 seconds, but using the special again while aiming at an enemy within 100 studs will send the Earthen Insects to hover around the target, following the user's own rotation. If the insects are hit, then their large sacs will explode, causing the carried substance to fly everywhere and blind their screen for 3 seconds. Note that the insects only damage and apply injury if they were hit by an enemy. The bugs will fly away if the user is hit while they're hovering around them, or if the user is ragdolled if they were hovering around an enemy.

    Damage
4 if hit by an enemy
    Cooldown
15s, starts once Earthen Insects are gone

Awakening — Parthenogenesis

The awakened form's own moveset. Several moves share a name with a base move and have different numbers in this form; the awakened block is what is shown here.

The wiki names this awakening but publishes no moves for it — which is precisely what its “Base Only” section records. The form exists in the game; its moveset is not written up.

Where this comes from

The moveset and version columns come from the Characters index on the Jujutsu Shenanigans Fandom wiki; health, unlock and each move's description, damage, cooldown, block type, interrupt and ragdoll behaviour come from Black Death's own page. Moves are matched between the two by exact name only, so a compound row that does not match an ability block stays blank rather than being paired with a guess. Last synced August 14, 2026.

Anything the wiki prints as "TBA" or omits entirely is shown as not published. Nothing on this page is drawn from the Jujutsu Kaisen manga or anime, and no damage number, cooldown, tier or date is inferred.
