Your choice of sword in Blox Fruits can make or break your combat game. Whether you are pushing bounty in the Third Sea or speed-clearing raids, a Legendary or Mythical blade paired with the right fruit turns you into a one-combo machine. This guide covers every high-tier sword in the game, exactly how to obtain each one, and the optimal order to farm them.
Sword Rarity System Explained
Blox Fruits divides its 46 swords into five rarity tiers. Damage output, move versatility, and combo potential all scale with rarity:
| Rarity | Examples | How to Get |
|---|---|---|
| Common | Katana, Cutlass | NPC shops in First Sea |
| Uncommon | Dual Katana, Iron Mace | NPC shops, minor quests |
| Rare | Shark Saw, Midnight Blade | Boss drops, quests |
| Legendary | Saishi, Shizu, Oroshi, Tushita, Yama | Legendary Sword Dealer, puzzles |
| Mythical | True Triple Katana, Cursed Dual Katana, Dark Blade, Hallow Scythe | Combined quests, Game Pass, seasonal |
Focus your farming on Legendary and Mythical — everything below is a stepping stone.
The Legendary Sword Dealer — Saishi, Shizu & Oroshi
The Legendary Sword Dealer is the rarest NPC spawn in Blox Fruits. He sells three swords — Saishi, Shizu (formerly Shisui), and Oroshi — for $2,000,000 each. You need all three to eventually craft the True Triple Katana.
Prerequisites
- Reach Level 850+ in the Second Sea
- Talk to Bartilo inside the Second Sea café and complete his quest (defeat 50 Swan Pirates + Boss)
- Talk to the Manager in the same café — he hints at the Dealer's spawn timer
Spawn Timer & Manager Dialogue
The Legendary Sword Dealer spawns once every 3-5 hours per server and stays for only 15 minutes. Use the Manager's dialogue to predict timing:
| Manager Says | Meaning |
|---|---|
| "He hasn't been around for a while..." | 2+ hours away |
| "A man claimed to see his ship nearby today..." | ~1 hour 15 minutes |
| "I think he should be getting here soon..." | ~15 minutes away |
| "I think he's here right now!" | Spawned — go find him! |
7 Spawn Locations (Second Sea)
- Colosseum — inside the north-east arches
- Kingdom of Rose — under the waterway tunnels
- Green Zone — on top of the tallest beanstalk (center)
- Green Zone — behind three rocks next to Fajita NPC
- Graveyard — on top of the central pillar
- Factory — behind the grassy rock plateau
- Usoapp's Island — inside the central house
Pro tip: Use the Portal fruit's World Warp move to cycle through all 7 locations in under 2 minutes. Light fruit works as a budget alternative. See our Blox Fruits Tier List for the best fruit picks.
Cost Breakdown
| Sword | Price | Stat Focus |
|---|---|---|
| Shizu | $2,000,000 | High damage, slow swing |
| Saishi | $2,000,000 | Fast combos, moderate damage |
| Oroshi | $2,000,000 | Balanced speed and damage |
Total investment: $6,000,000 (each spawn offers only one random sword, so this takes 3+ spawns minimum).
Tushita — The Third Sea Puzzle Sword
Tushita is one of the strongest Legendary swords and a requirement for the Cursed Dual Katana. It is obtained through a multi-step puzzle in the Third Sea.
How to Get Tushita
- Find the Tushita puzzle NPC on Floating Turtle island (Third Sea)
- Complete the lightning puzzle — stand on specific pressure plates during a thunderstorm in the correct order
- Defeat the Tushita mini-boss that spawns after completing the puzzle
- Collect the sword drop (guaranteed on puzzle completion)
Requirements
- Must be in the Third Sea (Level 1500+)
- Requires a thunderstorm weather event — server hop until you find one
- Recommended: bring a tanky fruit like Buddha for the boss fight
Tip: The puzzle resets if you leave the server. Complete it in one session.
Yama — The Graveyard Puzzle Sword
Yama is the second Legendary puzzle sword needed for Cursed Dual Katana. It involves a different multi-step quest in the Third Sea.
How to Get Yama
- Find the hidden door in the Haunted Castle area (Third Sea)
- Solve the bone puzzle — collect bone fragments scattered across the graveyard
- Activate the ritual altar with all fragments placed
- Defeat the Yama boss (high HP, AoE dark attacks)
- Claim Yama from the chest that spawns
Requirements
- Third Sea access (Level 1500+)
- Must collect all bone fragments before the server resets (fragment locations are semi-random)
- Recommended: Dough or Kitsune for the boss fight's heavy AoE
True Triple Katana (Mythical) — The Ultimate Combo Sword
The True Triple Katana (TTK) is a Mythical sword with devastating combo potential. It requires all three Legendary Sword Dealer swords.
How to Craft TTK
- Obtain Saishi, Shizu, and Oroshi from the Legendary Sword Dealer ($2M each, $6M total)
- Reach 300 Mastery on each of the three swords (use Buddha + grinding to speed this up)
- Find the Mysterious Man — located on top of the tallest beanstalk in Green Zone (Second Sea)
- Buy the True Triple Katana from him for $2,000,000 — he only sells it once all three swords are at 300+ Mastery
Why TTK is Worth It
- Z Move (Dragon Flash): Extremely fast dash attack with massive range — the best gap-closer in the game
- X Move (Typhoon Slash): Wide AoE spin attack perfect for raids and multi-target PvP
- Pairs exceptionally well with Portal, Ice, and Lightning (formerly Rumble) fruits for stun-combo playstyles
Cursed Dual Katana (Mythical) — The Hardest Sword to Get
The Cursed Dual Katana (CDK) is widely considered the most prestigious sword in Blox Fruits. Obtaining it is an endgame achievement.
Requirements
- Obtain Tushita (puzzle sword)
- Obtain Yama (puzzle sword)
- Reach 350 Mastery on both Tushita and Yama
- Complete the Cursed Dual Katana puzzle — a separate, more complex puzzle in the Third Sea graveyard involving timed platform jumps and a final boss gauntlet
- Defeat the CDK Guardian — an extremely powerful boss with phases
Why CDK Dominates
- Z Move (Slayer of Havoc): Fast, far-reaching lunge with insane damage — top-tier engage tool
- X Move (Celestial Slash): Massive AoE sweep that can hit multiple targets in PvP
- Passive: Increased sword damage on all attacks when below 50% HP
- Best paired with: Dough (Awakened), Kitsune, or Tiger (formerly Leopard) for one-combo kills — check our Fruit Tier List for full rankings
Dark Blade (Yoru) — The Premium Mythical
The Dark Blade is the only Game Pass sword in Blox Fruits (1,200 Robux). It can also be obtained through trading.
How to Get Dark Blade
- Purchase the Dark Blade Game Pass (1,200 Robux) from the Roblox game page
- Receive it via gift from another player who purchased the pass
- Trade for it — Dark Blade holds extremely high trade value
Is Dark Blade Worth 1,200 Robux?
Honestly — yes, if you play Blox Fruits regularly. The V2 awakened version (obtained through a separate quest in the Third Sea) is one of the best swords in the game for PvP. The Z and X moves have huge range, fast startup, and deal top-tier damage.
Hallow Scythe — The Seasonal Mythical
The Hallow Scythe drops from the Soul Reaper boss during the annual Halloween event. It features massive AoE, lifesteal on hit, and a unique ghostly visual effect.
How to Get It
- Wait for the Halloween event (typically October)
- Defeat the Soul Reaper boss — spawns in the Haunted Castle during the event
- Drop rate: Approximately 2-5% per kill — expect heavy grinding
Note: The Hallow Scythe cannot be traded. You must farm it yourself during the event window.
Best Farming Order for New Players
If you are starting fresh, here is the optimal sword progression path:
- Cutlass Katana (First Sea, free/cheap)
- Dual Katana (First Sea, budget option until Second Sea)
- Saishi/Shizu/Oroshi (Second Sea, Legendary Sword Dealer — $6M for all 3)
- True Triple Katana (Second Sea, $2M from the Mysterious Man once all 3 Dealer swords hit 300 Mastery)
- Tushita + Yama (Third Sea, puzzle swords)
- Cursed Dual Katana (Third Sea, combine Tushita + Yama at 350 Mastery each)
Skip directly to Step 3 if you can afford it — the First Sea swords become obsolete fast. New to Blox Fruits? Start with our Beginner's Guide first.

FAQ
How do I find the Legendary Sword Dealer fast? Use the Portal fruit's World Warp move to teleport between all 7 spawn locations quickly. Check the Manager's dialogue first to confirm the Dealer is active. Server hopping is also effective — join a server, check the Manager, and hop if the timer is long.
Can I trade Legendary swords? No. Saishi, Shizu, Oroshi, True Triple Katana, Cursed Dual Katana, Tushita, and Yama are all untradeable. You must obtain each one yourself. Dark Blade is the exception — it can be traded.
What is the best sword in Blox Fruits right now? The Cursed Dual Katana is the consensus best sword for PvP in 2026. For PvE grinding and raids, the True Triple Katana is arguably more versatile due to its AoE X move.
How long does it take to get the True Triple Katana? Budget 2-3 days minimum. You need $6M for the three Dealer swords (farming or trading), then 300 Mastery on each sword (several hours per sword with Buddha grinding). The Dealer spawn RNG can stretch this further.
Is the Dark Blade worth buying with Robux? If you play Blox Fruits consistently, yes. The V2 awakened version is one of the strongest swords in the game, and owning the Game Pass gives you a permanent, tradeable asset. It is also the only sword you can gift to friends.
When does the Hallow Scythe come back? The Hallow Scythe is available during the annual Halloween event, typically running throughout October. There is no way to obtain it outside the event window.
What fruit pairs best with swords? For sword mains, Portal (mobility + repositioning), Ice Awakened (stuns for free sword hits), and Rumble Awakened (stun + mobility) are the top picks. Buddha works best for PvE sword grinding due to the extended hitbox. See our full fruit rankings for more pairing strategies.
Should I get TTK or CDK first? Get TTK first — it requires Second Sea content only and will carry you through Third Sea progression. Then farm Tushita and Yama in the Third Sea to eventually craft CDK.
