PS99 Hatch Wars Guide: Egg Odds, Huges & the Gargantuan Mothman

Fourteen Gargantuan Mothmen exist. Thirteen regular, one Rainbow. That's the whole world supply after four days of Hatch Wars, against 1,265 Titanic Stitched Dragons from the same final battle.

So if you're planning around the Mothman, don't. Plan around the Huges and the Titanic, and treat a Mothman as a lottery ticket that comes free with the grind.

Hatch Wars went live on October 3, 2026. The Soul Lantern Clan Battle closes October 9 at 16:00 UTC (noon Eastern), so you've got about two days to push for clan prizes.

All four Hatch Wars eggs: cost and odds

There's one egg per zone, each bought with the event Candy you get from breaking things. Odds below are base, before luck.

Those trillions look like a joke. They aren't the real odds you play at.

31,049 Huge Stitched Bunnies already exist, and so do more than 9 million Mothmen. Nobody gets there at base rate. The whole event is built around multiplying them. BIG Games' tagline is literally "luck is your weapon."

BIG Games' blog quotes the Mothman at 1 in 4,000,000,000. The egg data says 1 in 2 billion, and each egg's rare pets also run on live odds that aren't in the public numbers. Trust whatever your in-game RNG tag says.

Every egg's chase pet is the next egg's filler

• Scaredy Cat: 1 in 190,000 from Ember. 1 in 430 from Spore.
• Hollow Fox: 1 in 2.4 million from Spore. It's the common in Graveyard.
• Pumpkin Glow Cat: 1 in 50 million from Graveyard. Every Witching Egg that isn't something rarer.

The Spore Egg costs 7x the Ember Egg and gives you the Scaredy Cat about 440x more often. Once a zone opens, stop hatching the previous egg for its rare. It's a waste of Candy.

Want the Huge Stitched Bunny? The cheaper egg wins

The Bunny is this event's egg Huge, and two eggs carry it.

Witching gives better odds per egg, 1 in 2.67 trillion against Graveyard's 1 in 4 trillion. But Witching costs 98,000 Candy and Graveyard costs 9,800, so the same Candy buys one Witching Egg or ten Graveyard Eggs. That's about 6.7x more Bunny chances from Graveyard.

Luck multiplies both eggs, so the gap holds as you stack it. The only thing that could change that is those hidden live odds.

Witching is still the only egg with the Mothman, the Stitched Dragon and a Titanic. If you're farming the Bunny on its own, though, Graveyard is the better buy at base rate.

Every limited pet, where it comes from, and how many exist

Counts include every variant, as of October 7, 17:30 UTC. Zeros are leaderboard prizes that haven't paid out yet.

All 26,700 Huge Hollow Bats and all 668 Titanic Pumpkin Glow Cats are plain. Not one is Golden, Rainbow or Shiny. The battle pets do come in variants: the Titanic Stitched Dragon already has 106 Golden, 69 Rainbow and 3 Shiny copies, and the Huge Stitched Cat has 810 Shinies.

If you're after a variant, it has to come from a Hatch Battle.

How Hatch Battles work

You and a boss both hatch, and the rarer pet wins. Tap the glowing circles mid-battle for a luck combo.

Win and the next zone opens, and you keep every pet you hatched. If a boss is walling you, a Lucky Spell boosts your next battle. Save it for that, not for the early bosses.

The final Hatch Battle sits in Witching Hour, and it has the best Huge and Titanic odds in the event. It's also the only place the Gargantuan Mothman hatches.

Luck Flames: the risk button

Winning the final battle lights a Luck Flame. Win three in a row and the luck stacks hard. Lose once and every flame goes out.

That's the real decision in Hatch Wars.

Auto Battle lets you pick a flame to stop at, and it has a coin floor so it never spends below a set amount. Use both.

Push for the third flame only after your Orb upgrades are up. Before that you're gambling a two-flame stack on a weak luck base, and one loss resets you to nothing.

Giant Pumpkin and Lucky Bursts

Golden, Rainbow and Shiny pets grow your Giant Pumpkin much faster than plain ones, so that's where your variant duplicates of the fodder pets go.

As it grows, Stalk Eggs sprout with up to 3x Huge odds. Smash it and you get Lucky Bursts:

• Lucky Candle: big luck on your next manual hatch.
• Soul Lantern: timed luck on every egg you hatch.
• Lucky Spell: boosts your next Hatch Battle.

A full pumpkin can hide a Huge or a Titanic, but only once you've beaten 3 bosses. Smashing one earlier still pays Bursts, just not the big pets.

Upgrade order and Lucky Orbs

Breaking Candy drops Spooky Wands too, more in later zones. The Upgrade Machine has 6 upgrades.

BIG Games' own advice is to start with Orb Bank and Orb Power, and it's right. Lucky Orbs give luck, speed and jump, and every egg you hatch burns a few. A small bank empties fast and your luck drops with it.

After that, the blog lists bigger pumpkins, Huge hunting and longer-burning flames. Orbs spawn much faster in zones you've beaten, and the rarest ones are up the Pumpkin Stalk.

Team Orange vs Team Blue

Every server is split into two teams, and a round runs every 4 hours. Rare hatches in Witching Hour score for your team.

Win or lose, both teams fire Luck, Huge or Coin buffs. Losing costs you nothing, so play it as a free buff timer and hatch in Witching Hour when one is running.

Soul Lantern Clan Battle: two days left

Every Huge, Titanic and ultra-rare final-zone hatch scores for your clan. It ends October 9, 2026 at 16:00 UTC.

Top 30 clans also get the Soul Lantern Hoverboard, top 50 the Soul Lantern Booth, and top 500 a Clan Gift. Only 76 Gargantuan Meebos in a Spaceship exist from earlier events, so the #1 prize is rarer than either Titanic already out from this event (668 and 1,265).

If your clan is sitting around #51 to #60, the last two days matter more than anything else you can do here. That's the line between a Titanic Soul Lantern Deer and a Huge.

Hatch Battle Leaderboard

Tougher bosses are worth far more points. Payouts:

• #1 to #3: Rainbow Shiny Titanic Scaredy Cat
• #4 to #10: Golden Shiny Titanic Scaredy Cat
• #11 to #100: Rainbow Titanic Scaredy Cat
• #101 to #250: Shiny Titanic Scaredy Cat
• #251 to #500: Golden Titanic Scaredy Cat
• #501 to #1,000: Titanic Scaredy Cat
• #1,001 to #10,000: Huge Haunted Penguin

The top 10,000 is the realistic target for most players. BIG Games hasn't posted this leaderboard's end time.

The paid stuff

The Exclusive Lost Hero Egg is Robux-only and limited-time. Odds:

• Gargantuan Lost Hero Bulldog: 1 in 5,000 (35 exist)
• Titanic Lost Hero Butterfly: 1 in 500 (408 exist)
• Huge Lost Hero Rabbit: 1 in 128
• Huge Lost Hero Cat: 1 in 33

The Forever Pack has the Titanic Scaredy Ghost, the Huge Mothman and the Gargantuan M-2 Prototype, plus Tier II Candles, Soul Lanterns and Spells. The Spectral Pack is luck items, Exclusive Lost Hero Eggs and 2 Mega Chests.

Don't confuse the Huge Mothman with the Gargantuan. The Huge comes from the Forever Pack and 26,433 of them exist. Only the Gargantuan comes from the final battle.
