Adopt Me Tim's Trial Tonic Update: All 10 New Potions Guide (May 2026)
Tim is back — and this time he brought potions. The Tim's Trial Tonic update went live today, May 15, 2026, at 3:05 PM UTC, adding 10 new craftable potions to Adopt Me. Some boost your Bucks earnings, some change how Pet Needs work, and one temporarily transforms your pet's entire appearance. You have one week to craft them before they move into the Pet Birthday pool. Here's everything confirmed so far.

Who Is Tim?
Tim is a returning Adopt Me NPC who runs a limited-time potion-crafting station. When Tim's events go live, you visit his station in-game and craft potions using standard resources. Tim's events are time-limited — once the window closes, whatever he offers moves into other reward pools. For Tim's Trial Tonic, that means potions move to Pet Birthdays on May 22. If you want to craft them on demand, this week is your window.
All 10 New Potions (6 Verified)
Tim's Trial Tonic added 10 new potions. Six have been confirmed across official sources. The remaining four are still being documented by the community — this guide updates as they're verified.
| Potion | Effect | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Bucks Booster | Increases the amount of Bucks you earn through completing Pet Needs | Verified |
| Instant Need | Spawns a random Pet Need on command — no waiting for the timer | Verified |
| Pet Preference | Adds a new preference to your active pet's Need rotation | Verified |
| Home Teleport | Teleports you directly to your home instantly | Verified |
| Need Timer | Displays a countdown showing time remaining until the next Pet Need appears | Verified |
| Pet Morph | Temporarily changes your pet's features or model for 10 minutes | Verified |
| Potions 7–10 | Effects not yet fully confirmed across major sources | Pending verification |
Which Potion to Craft First
For active farming, the Bucks Booster and Instant Need combination is the strongest pair. The Instant Need removes idle time between Need cycles — combine it with the Bucks Booster and you're earning at maximum rate without waiting for Needs to naturally appear. If you step away from the screen during sessions, the Need Timer is worth having so you can return at exactly the right moment.
The Pet Morph is purely cosmetic — fun, but not a priority during a one-week crafting window. The Home Teleport is a convenience potion and the Pet Preference is useful for long-term Needs optimization if you're particular about which Needs your pet cycles through.
Availability & Crafting Window
Tim's station is open from today (May 15) through May 22, 2026. That's a seven-day window. After May 22, the crafting station closes and all 10 potions enter the Pet Birthday reward pool — you can still earn them, but you can't craft them on demand anymore.
If you play Adopt Me regularly, set aside time this week. The Bucks Booster and Instant Need potions in particular are useful enough that having them from crafting — rather than relying on Pet Birthday RNG later — is worth the effort.
Weather Needs Context (May 8 Update)
If you missed last week's update, the Weather Needs update (May 8) added weather-specific pet interactions as a permanent mechanic. Pets can now perform unique actions during specific weather conditions — splashing in puddles during rain, jumping into leaf piles during fall weather, and more depending on weather type.
The May 8 update also introduced the Super Age-up potion, which instantly ages your pet without additional items.
Tim's Trial Tonic potions layer on top of Weather Needs mechanics. The Bucks Booster applies to Bucks earned through any Need fulfillment, including weather-triggered ones. If you're playing during active weather events, both systems stack for efficient farming.
FAQ
Can I still get Tim's potions after May 22?
Yes. After the crafting window closes on May 22, 2026, all 10 potions enter the Pet Birthday reward pool. You can still earn them through Pet Birthdays going forward — you just lose the ability to craft them on demand.
Do the potions work on all pets?
The potions apply to your currently active pet (the one following you). Pet Morph specifically changes the active pet's model for its duration.
Does the Instant Need potion have a cooldown?
Specific cooldown data for the Instant Need potion isn't confirmed in official sources yet — this will update once community testing results are reported.
Can I craft multiple of the same potion?
Adopt Me typically allows multiple crafts during Tim's crafting windows. Per-potion limits for this specific event haven't been confirmed.
Does the Weather Needs update have an end date?
No — Weather Needs was a permanent mechanic addition. Weather-specific pet interactions are part of the base game going forward.
What update came before this one?
The Weather Needs update (May 8, 2026) added weather-specific pet actions and the Super Age-up potion. Before that was the Birthday Magic update featuring Sean's UFO. Check the Adopt Me hub for the full update history.
