Of every Transcendent currently in stock, Aurum Spire is the only one whose passive mutation pool includes anything at the x100 tier. That is the honest reason 2.5 trillion Sheckles and a 0.14% restock chance are worth the wait, and it is the reason mid-to-late-game farmers spent the last day watching the Seed Shop instead of grinding Beanpod Eggs. Firefly Spiral’s Ember passive was the previous benchmark, but Firefly Spiral has been out of stock since the Summer Camp Event closed. Moongrain Meadow (Harvest Moon’s answer) capped at Moonbeam x15. Aurum Spire replaces both.
What follows is exactly what Aurum Spire does, exactly what the price gets you, and exactly how it compares to every other Transcendent still on the shop rotation. If you saw the seed drop this morning and hesitated because 2.5T Sheckles felt insane, the answer to whether to press buy is in the mutation math — not the sticker.
The Passive Ability — Gilded (x15) and Beanbound (x100), Every 10 Minutes
Aurum Spire’s wiki page reads, verbatim: “Every 10 minutes, mutates a nearby fruit with the Gilded, with a lower chance of Beanbound!” That is the whole ability text. What it hides is the multiplier ladder those two mutations sit on.
Here is what each mutation is worth on a harvested fruit, straight from the Crop Mutations wiki page:
- Gilded — x15 multiplier. Sits in the middle tier of mutations alongside Corrupted Chakra, Gnomed, Jackpot, Oil, Spaghetti, Toxic, Clockwork, and Moonbeam. Before Aurum Spire, the only source of Gilded was the Midas Rain Admin Weather event, which the game triggers randomly and briefly. Miss the window, wait days.
- Beanbound — x100 multiplier. Sits in the top tier alongside Brainrot, Heartbound, Maelstrom, Paradisal, Shocked, and Ember (all x100). The only prior source was the Beanaura weather event, which has a hard prerequisite: four or more players in the same server must be holding a Beanstalk simultaneously. Private servers or off-peak public servers rarely hit that threshold. Aurum Spire is the first crop with Beanbound in its passive mutation pool.
Both mutations stack additively with base and pet mutations on the same fruit, which is why farmers already sitting on Sheckle piles are staring at this restock harder than they stared at Bone Blossom last year.
What the ability text does not say — and what the wiki has not yet quantified — is the exact Beanbound roll rate on the “lower chance” leg. Assume for now that the split is heavily Gilded-weighted. A rough working guess: 80–90% Gilded, 10–20% Beanbound on each 10-minute cycle. That would still average roughly one Beanbound fruit every 50–100 minutes per Aurum Spire, which is enormous for solo play. The wiki will settle the exact percentage within a few days.
The important floor guarantee here: even on the “bad” leg you still get Gilded at x15. Compare that to the passive of Firefly Spiral (still the only other passive-x100 crop the game has shipped), which rolls one of five fire-based mutations from Burnt (x4) at the low end to Meteoric (x125) at the high end. Firefly Spiral’s ceiling is higher, but its floor is worthless. Aurum Spire trades that variance for a guaranteed useful mutation on every proc.
The 2.5-Trillion Sheckle Price, Broken Down Three Ways
The Aurum Spire Seed has three purchase paths in the Seed Shop:
- 2,500,000,000,000 Sheckles (2.5 trillion)
- 1,599 Robux
- 1,599 Trade Tokens
The Sheckle price alone is worth pausing on. Two and a half trillion is more than most three-month veteran gardens have ever held at one time. Reaching it inside the Beanstalk event window realistically requires either an established Season Pass 7 grinder farm, a full Prismatic pet rotation on high-value crops, or friend-trade income from Trade Tokens (which then means you likely bought the Aurum Spire in Trade Tokens anyway, not Sheckles).
The Robux and Trade Token prices being identical at 1,599 is standard for this Transcendent template. Both Firefly Spiral (2T Sheckles) and Moongrain Meadow (2.5T Sheckles) used the same 1,599 Robux / 1,599 Trade Token pairing. The game is signalling what it thinks the crop is worth in scarce currencies, then setting the Sheckle price as a “you can grind it, but we’d rather you didn’t” alternative.
The 0.14% Restock Chance — What One in Seven Hundred Really Means
The Aurum Spire Seed appears in the base Seed Shop (Sam’s Shop) with a 0.14% chance to restock, or roughly 1 in 700. That number is not per hour and not per day. It is per restock cycle, and the Seed Shop restocks every 5 minutes.
Working the math out:
- Restocks per hour: 12.
- Restocks per day: 288.
- Expected restocks per day: 288 × 0.0014 = 0.403. About two in five.
- Average interval: Roughly one Aurum Spire restock every 2.5 days.
- Chance of at least one restock in a full 24-hour day: 1 − (1 − 0.0014)²⁸⁸ ≈ 33%.
The variance matters more than the average. A player watching every single restock has a two-thirds chance of seeing zero Aurum Spire drops in any given day. Over a full week, the chance of zero drops is roughly (0.67)⁷ ≈ 6%. So most weeks you will see two or three windows; some weeks you will see none.
The Robux 79 manual restock, available in the Seed Shop at any time to skip the 5-minute timer, is a Sheckle-independent way to buy extra rolls. 79 Robux per roll at a 0.14% chance means an expected 56,428 Robux (~$700 USD) to guarantee a single seed. Do not do this. Watch the natural stock, keep 2.5T Sheckles ready, and let the timer come to you.
Aurum Spire vs. Every Currently-Obtainable Transcendent
The Transcendent tier currently has 36 crops on the Grow a Garden wiki. Most are event-locked and marked “obtainable? = No.” Here is the full slate of Transcendents flagged “obtainable? = Yes” on the wiki this morning, ordered by Sheckle price, with each crop’s passive mutation ability and its multiplier:
| Crop | Sheckle Price | Restock Chance | Passive Mutation | Mutation Multiplier |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Maple Resin | 1,500,000,000 (1.5 billion) | 1.6% (Fall Seed Shop) | None documented | — |
| Pollenvine | 2,000,000,000,000 (2 trillion) | 0.14% | Pollinated | x3 |
| Aurum Spire | 2,500,000,000,000 (2.5 trillion) | 0.14% | Gilded / Beanbound | x15 / x100 |
| Tiki Totem | 2,500,000,000,000 (2.5 trillion) | 0.14% | Tidal | x5 |
| Crimson Thorn | 10,000,000,000,000 (10 trillion, or 8B in Daily Deals) | 0.13% | None documented | — |
| Zebrazinkle | 200,000,000,000,000 (200 trillion) | 0.1% | None | — |
| Octobloom | 500,000,000,000,000 (500 trillion) | 0.08% | None | — |
Only three Transcendents currently in stock have a passive mutation ability at all: Pollenvine, Tiki Totem, and Aurum Spire. At the 2 to 2.5 trillion Sheckle price point where all three sit, Aurum Spire is a strict upgrade — same restock chance (0.14%), same order of magnitude Sheckle cost, but a floor mutation (Gilded x15) that is three to five times more valuable than either alternative’s passive, plus a Beanbound (x100) chance that neither can offer. Crimson Thorn at 10T Sheckles costs four times as much Sheckle capital and has no passive mutation at all. Zebrazinkle at 200T and Octobloom at 500T are event-holdover trophy purchases with no passive abilities documented; neither is a farming pick.
Two Transcendents that appear on the wiki as “obtainable? = Yes” are also worth naming so you don’t get confused: Jungle Kiwano (PhatMojo plushie code exclusive, not shop-obtainable) and Swivel Stinger (Bizzy Bee Event 2026 Wasp Wave Chest guaranteed at Wave 100). Neither is available through the base Seed Shop.
The 2.5T Sheckle Transcendent Template — Firefly Spiral, Moongrain Meadow, Aurum Spire
Grow a Garden has now shipped three Transcendents in the exact same shop template within the last three months. The pattern is worth naming, because it tells you what will happen the next time an event lands.
| Crop | Event | Released | Sheckle Price | Robux | Trade Token | Restock | Currently Obtainable? |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Firefly Spiral | Summer Camp | June 6, 2026 | 2,000,000,000,000 | 1,599 | 1,599 | 0.14% | No |
| Moongrain Meadow | Harvest Moon | August 1, 2026 | 2,500,000,000,000 | 1,599 | 1,599 | 0.14% | No |
| Aurum Spire | Beanstalk Event 2026 | August 29, 2026 | 2,500,000,000,000 | 1,599 | 1,599 | 0.14% | Yes |
Three events, three Transcendents, three identical Robux/Trade Token price points, three identical 0.14% restock chances. What changed between them is only the passive:
- Firefly Spiral’s passive: One of five fire mutations (Burnt x4, Flaming x25, Molten x25, Ember x100, Meteoric x125) every 5 minutes. Highest single-proc ceiling in the game. Very high variance. Currently out of stock.
- Moongrain Meadow’s passive: Moonbeam x15 every 10 minutes. Consistent but capped. Currently out of stock.
- Aurum Spire’s passive: Gilded x15 primary or Beanbound x100 secondary every 10 minutes. Higher floor than Moongrain, lower ceiling than Firefly Spiral, but currently the only one you can buy.
What this means for planning: the game will almost certainly ship another 2.5T Sheckle Transcendent at the next major event. If you skip Aurum Spire because you assume a stronger one is coming, you might be right — but the odds are the next crop will trade its passive for a different mutation slot, not upgrade Beanbound. Buy for the shop you have, not the shop that might come.
The Five Trait Tags — Why One Aurum Spire Covers Four of Jack’s Nine Requests
Every crop in Grow a Garden carries one or more plant trait tags. Most crops carry two or three. Aurum Spire carries five: Fruit, Leafy, Magical, Stalky, and Woody. Not the highest count in the game (Firefly Spiral carried nine), but the widest currently-obtainable footprint tied to a passive-mutation Transcendent.
This matters because of Jack, the Beanstalk NPC. Jack asks for one specific plant trait per hour, cycling through nine possibilities: Berry, Flower, Fruit, Leafy, Vegetable, Woody, Prickly, Stalky, and Tropical. His requested trait refreshes every 60 minutes, and every player who contributes matching crops earns leaderboard points toward growing the Beanstalk.
One Aurum Spire counts toward four of Jack’s nine trait requests:
- Fruit hour: submit an Aurum Spire.
- Leafy hour: submit an Aurum Spire.
- Stalky hour: submit an Aurum Spire.
- Woody hour: submit an Aurum Spire.
The fifth trait tag — Magical — is not on Jack’s current nine-trait rotation, so it does not directly earn contribution points at his shop. It does, however, mean Aurum Spire is affected by every gear, pet, and spray that targets Magical-type crops, which is a separate (and useful) benefit outside the event.
You cannot burn one Aurum Spire on every requested hour, obviously; each fruit contributes once. But if you have three or four Aurum Spire fruits in your inventory and know you will be climbing the Beanstalk 12 times for the Skycastle Fence anyway, those Aurum Spires each cover four of nine possible hours — you rarely end up on an hour where you have no matching crop. Compare that to a Berry-only crop (Twist Berry): it counts on exactly one trait, and if Jack rolls Berry this hour, you contribute; if he rolls anything else, that Twist Berry is dead weight.
Should You Buy It Today? A Decision Tree
Three honest paths, based on where you are in the event:
- You have 2.5T+ Sheckles ready and see it in your Seed Shop. Buy. The passive mutation ability is the strongest currently in stock, and the next natural restock is 2.5 days away on average with a hard chance of no restock for a week. If you can afford it, this is the decision.
- You have a Trade Token stash of 1,599+ and are actively trading. Buy in Trade Tokens rather than Sheckles. The 1:1 parity with Robux is a strong signal that the game thinks 1,599 Trade Tokens is roughly the crop’s intended cost. Sheckle-hoard players will end up paying twice this in opportunity cost.
- You are cash-poor and mid-game. Skip. Focus on climbing the Beanstalk 9 times to unlock the Beanpod Egg (the 55% Goose is the strongest event pet at that price point), farm the Twist Berry at 250M Sheckles as your income floor, and stack Sheckles for the second week. Aurum Spire will restock again; the Beanstalk Event ends first, and you cannot get the Beanpod Egg once the event closes.
The one path that does not make sense at any wealth level: burning Robux at 1,599 for a single seed when Trade Tokens exist at the same rate. If you are willing to spend real money on the crop, spend it once and rebuild Trade Tokens through farming rather than gating the same rare seed behind Robux forever.
FAQ
What does Aurum Spire actually do in-game?
Every 10 minutes, Aurum Spire mutates a nearby fruit with the Gilded mutation (x15 multiplier on harvested fruit value), with a lower chance of applying the Beanbound mutation (x100 multiplier) instead. The wiki does not currently quantify the Beanbound roll rate on the “lower chance” leg — a reasonable working estimate is 10–20% Beanbound and 80–90% Gilded per 10-minute proc.
Where does Aurum Spire come from?
The base Seed Shop (Sam’s Shop). It restocks with a 0.14% chance per 5-minute cycle, which averages to one restock every 2.5 days but carries hard-week variance where players may see none. The Aurum Spire is not sold at the Beanstalk Event 2026 Main Shop or Friendship Shop — only the base Seed Shop.
Can I get Aurum Spire from a seed pack?
The wiki does not currently list Aurum Spire in any published seed pack drop table. The Silver Transcendent Seed Pack, which is the Beanstalk-tied achievement reward for the 19-quest Transcendent Plants tier, has not published its drop pool yet. Treat Aurum Spire as Seed Shop-only until the drop pool is published.
Is Beanbound really a x100 mutation?
Yes, per the Crop Mutations wiki page. Beanbound sits in the top tier of individual mutations at x100, alongside Brainrot, Heartbound, Maelstrom, Paradisal, Shocked, and Ember. The only combined mutations above x100 are Plagued (x102), Touchdown, and Meteoric (x125). Beanbound is at the ceiling for a single-source mutation from a passive, not a combined stack.
What was the only other way to get Beanbound before Aurum Spire?
The Beanaura weather event, which itself is gated: four or more players in the same server must simultaneously hold a Beanstalk plant for the game to trigger Beanaura. On most public servers and every private server without a coordinated group, that threshold rarely lands. Aurum Spire is the first crop with Beanbound in its passive mutation pool.
Is Aurum Spire stronger than Firefly Spiral?
Depends on how you measure. Firefly Spiral has a higher single-proc ceiling: Meteoric at x125 vs. Beanbound at x100. But Firefly Spiral’s passive spreads across five mutations from Burnt (x4) to Meteoric (x125), so most procs are Burnt or Flaming (x4 or x25). Aurum Spire always lands at least a Gilded (x15) mutation. Aurum Spire is the more consistent farming crop; Firefly Spiral is the higher-variance lottery ticket. And Firefly Spiral is currently out of stock — Aurum Spire is the only one you can actually buy right now.
Is Aurum Spire multi-harvest?
Yes. Per the wiki, Aurum Spire is a multi-harvest crop, meaning one plant produces multiple fruit yields over its lifetime. The exact fruits-per-plant and regrowth timer are not currently listed on the wiki — expect that data to fill in over the next few days as live players harvest.
How much is 2.5 trillion Sheckles in real money?
The two currency alternates are 1,599 Robux and 1,599 Trade Tokens. At Roblox’s current retail rate, 1,599 Robux is roughly $19.99 USD if you buy the smallest matching bundle. Trade Tokens are earned in-game through the trade system with no cash-equivalent, but many active traders have four-figure Trade Token stashes.
Should I burn Robux on the manual restock?
No. The manual restock is 79 Robux to skip the 5-minute timer. At a 0.14% chance per roll, the expected Robux cost to guarantee a single seed is approximately 56,428 Robux, or roughly $700 USD. Watch natural restocks. The wiki has not shifted the 0.14% number since launch.
How does Aurum Spire compare to Crimson Thorn?
Crimson Thorn is a much older Transcendent (September 2025), costs 10 trillion Sheckles at base (or 8 billion in Daily Deals, which is by far the cheapest way to buy any Transcendent right now), and has no passive mutation ability. If you already own an Aurum Spire and want a second Transcendent for stacking pet buffs or growth-time-based synergies, Crimson Thorn is worth chasing at 8B in Daily Deals. For a first Transcendent focused on mutation output, Aurum Spire is the better buy.
