The Manticore is a 0.5% roll from the Fairy Chest. That's one in 200 chests on average, and even 100 chests only gives you about a 39% shot at one.

The Fairy Event 2026 runs from October 10 to October 17. That leaves six days. Want a Divine pet? It all comes down to chest math.

Every pet has a seed twin at the exact same odds. Half your chests at every rarity go to a crop, so over 200 chests you'd expect about one Manticore and about one Prism Plume. Neither is guaranteed.

Even at 200 chests, more than a third of players still won't have one. 0.5% just works out that way.

The Redcap is much easier. At 14.5%, five chests give you a 54% chance and ten chests get you to 79%. If you only grind a little this week, the Redcap is the pet you should expect to walk away with.

Where Fairy Chests come from

Hand in Glimmering crops to finish Fairy Favors, and the Wishing Well offers a choice of three rewards. Favor Stages 1 to 5 line up with well Tiers 1 to 5, and the tier sets the odds.

The last column treats each of the three slots as a separate roll, so it's an estimate.

Tier 1 can't give you a chest at all. And Tier 5 is worth three chests per pick, as many as Tiers 2 to 4 combined.

So if every stage gets one well pick, the most chests one full run can pay out is six. At a 0.5% Manticore rate, even a perfect run is a 3% chance.

Fairy Favors: what to plant

Each favor wants specific Glimmering crops from the Seed Shop. Stage 5 also accepts a few Enchanted Seed Pack plants. You do five favors per run.

Sunbulb, Glowthorn and Lightshoot are allowed in without the mutation. Everything else has to be Glimmering.

Restarting the favor run costs 7,500 Fairy Points. The five stages pay 9,550, so every run you finish leaves you 2,050 points up before you count any well rewards.

Plant ahead for Stages 4 and 5. They draw from the biggest pools. If Stage 5 asks for a Burning Bud or Elder Strawberry you don't own, the run stalls on the stage that pays three chests.

Getting crops Glimmering

Glimmering is a x2 crop mutation. Four ways to get it:

Touching a roaming Fairy.
The Fairies weather, which spawns more of them.
Mutation Spray Glimmering.
A Glimmering Sprite pet, or any pet that has the Glimmering pet mutation.

A Fairy Targeter gives nearby crops a better chance of going Glimmering when fairies pass. Put your Stage 4 and 5 crops under it, not your Strawberries.

The three pets, and which one is worth chasing

None of the three passives has numbers on the wiki yet. No cooldowns, no percentages. Anyone telling you the Manticore is the new meta is going off the description.

285,000 hunger is more than seven times the Redcap's 40,000.

Every trigger eats one of your heavily mutated fruits. Wait for the numbers before building a garden around it.

The Redcap is the interesting one. A pet that converts levels into hatch speed and back again is a lever no other Fairy pet gives you. It's also the pet you're likely to actually get. Pairing it for egg farming? Check the pet pairings guide.

The Fairy Bell is filler

Ring it on a pet and it gets 3% of its current level's XP. There's a 5% chance it gives 15% instead. That averages out to 3.6% of a level per bell.

At Tier 3 the well offers three bells (13.79%) in the same pool as a Fairy Chest (17.24%). Three bells is about a tenth of one level. A chest is a 14.5% shot at a Legendary pet. Take the chest every time.

What's actually new compared to 2025

Less than you'd think. The Fairy Event ran from August 30 to September 13, 2025, and most of the 2026 version is the same event.

Unchanged: the Fairy Favors crop lists, the 500 / 550 / 1,200 / 2,300 / 5,000 stage rewards, the 7,500 restart fee, and every Fairy Upgrade cost.
Replaced in Tiers 1 to 4: the Enchanted Crate became the Fairy Crate. In Tiers 2 to 4, Special Sprays became the Fairy Bell and the Enchanted Egg became the Fairy Chest.
Tier 5 reshuffled: three Enchanted Eggs at 29.41% became three Fairy Chests at 27.03%. A single Enchanted Egg is still in the pool at 8.11%. Aurora Vine was swapped out for Flutter Freesia at 5.41%.

Maxed the upgrades last year? Plan on starting the tree from scratch. Nothing says they carried over.

Fairy Spawn Amount adds up to 315,500, although the wiki's own total row says 313,000.

Every upgrade is paid in Fairy Points, and a full favor run nets 2,050 of them. Nobody is maxing this tree in six days. Spend early points where tiers are cheap. Glimmer Multiplier tiers 1 to 6, Roaming tiers 1 to 4 and Duration tiers 1 to 3 all cost 15,000 or less each.

Skip Roaming tiers 8 to 10 entirely. They cost 950,000 between them, and the wiki doesn't say what they do.

Fairy Crate, Exotic Fairy Chest and Flutter Freesia

The Fairy Crate takes an hour to open and is cosmetics only: Fairy Lightpost 25%, Enchanted Rug 25%, Magic Workbench 20%, Magic Mirror 15%, Log House 5%. That only adds to 90%, so something is missing from the list.

The Exotic Fairy Chest is in the Limited Time Shop, which is the Robux shop. It has the same odds as the regular chest plus a 1% Rainbow Sack roll. That pushes the listed odds to 101%, so expect the numbers to change. The wiki doesn't have a price.

Flutter Freesia, a Mythical crop, only comes from Tier 5 of the well at 5.41% per slot. It's the rarest seed in the event that isn't behind a chest.

Is the Fairy Event 2026 the same as 2025?

Mostly. The favors, stage rewards and upgrade costs are identical. The new parts are the Fairy Chest and Exotic Fairy Chest, their three pets and three seeds, the Fairy Bell, the Fairy Crate, and Flutter Freesia in place of Aurora Vine.
