Last Verified: October 18, 2026. Prices, odds, Black Cat sets and pet abilities come from the Grow a Garden Wiki (Fandom) pages for Halloween Event 2026, Update Log, Haunted Egg, Premium Haunted Egg, the seed pack pages and each new crop and pet. Most of those pages are still stubs, and two of them disagree on where the Haunted Egg comes from.

The Haunted Knight is a 0.5% hatch. That's 1 in 200 Haunted Eggs on average, and 100 eggs still leaves you with less than a 40% chance of seeing one.

The Halloween Event 2026 went live on October 17 as Update 1.72.0 and runs until November 7. The Update Log's next-update countdown ends October 24 at 21:30 UTC.

The Knight gets the thumbnails. The Black Cat is the better long-term grind, and a 150-Candy-Corn sprinkler decides how fast you can do it.

Haunted Egg odds

The Haunted Egg hatches in 4 hours.

PetRarityHaunted EggPremium Haunted Egg
Skull SnailRare55%54%
Lantern WispLegendary35%35%
GargoyleMythical9.5%9.5%
Haunted KnightPrismatic0.5%0.5%
Ghostly Premium Haunted Eggn/an/a1%

The Robux-only Premium egg has the same Knight odds. The only difference is a 1% shot at a Ghostly egg, taken from the Skull Snail's share.

What the Haunted Knight does

Reins of Destruction: every so often it haunts a random Nightmare pet. That pet resets to age 31 and gets the Haunted mutation, with a rare chance of Everhaunted instead.

Read that twice. It only works on pets that already have Nightmare, and it costs them their levels.

If you don't run Nightmare pets, the Knight is a 500,831-hunger trophy. The wiki doesn't list what Haunted or Everhaunted do for a pet yet, so nobody can tell you if the reset is worth it.

The other three

The Skull Snail (10,000 hunger) gets you more seed drops, and its Lucky Harvests can push a plant 2 hours ahead.

The Lantern Wisp (5,000 hunger) gives bonus pet XP per second for each Halloween cosmetic in your garden, but only while you own a Haunted Well.

Gargoyle, 250,000 hunger: now and then it turns to stone and either advances nearby pets' cooldowns or gives them XP.

The Lantern Wisp catch: the Haunted Well costs 500 Candy Corn and shows up in only 10% of restocks. Hatch a Wisp without one and it does nothing.

Where you actually get the egg is murky. The wiki's Halloween Market table lists the Haunted Egg at 1,500 Candy Corn, in stock 100% of the time. The Haunted Egg's own page names the Witches Brew as its only source. If the shop price holds, 200 eggs is 300,000 Candy Corn. Check your shop before you plan around it.

The market restocks every 5 minutes.

Webberry, Blood Kiwi and Haunted Hallow are all multi-harvest. Haunted Hallow is the event's Prismatic crop, and at 1.67% it turns up about once every 60 restocks. That's roughly 5 hours between sightings.

The same tab also lists Pumpkin Rat, Goat, Ghost Bear, Wolf, Dark Spriggan, Reaper and the Spooky Chest. Their wiki pages date them to Halloween 2025, so they're last year's stock coming back, not new pets.

Hit 500 Candy Corn collected and you get the Sweet Fortune badge.

The Black Cat: 15 sets, and the Haunted wall

Feed the Black Cat three Halloween plants per set. Sets 1 to 14 each pay one Haunted Seed Pack. Set 15 pays an Exotic Haunted Seed Pack (you can also buy that one for Robux). After set 15 it starts over at set 1.

All weights are minimums.

Sets 1 and 2 cost almost nothing: Candy Corn Carrots are 10 Candy Corn and Spider Shrubs are 50. Sets 3 and 4 add a Pumpkin Lantern (350) and a Candy Cluster (400). Then set 5 asks for a Haunted crop, and so do 9 of the 10 sets after it.

The wiki lists exactly one source of the Haunted crop mutation: the Haunted Sprinkler, which gives Haunted to every plant in its radius. It's 150 Candy Corn, but only in 20% of restocks.

That's one every 25 minutes on average. My rule for Part 1 of any event, after thousands of hours in this game: buy the thing that compounds before the shiny pet. Here that's the sprinkler. Buy every one you see.

What the seed packs are worth

Haunted Hallow0.5%0.5%
Rainbow Exotic Haunted Seed Packn/a1%

A full cycle is 15 packs. That's about a 7% chance of pulling a Haunted Hallow seed per cycle, so the cat won't get you one on its own.

What it does get you is a decent shot at Webberry and Blood Kiwi seeds, both multi-harvest, which sets 9 to 15 keep asking for.

Witches Brew

Throw Halloween fruit into the cauldron on the event island. Higher-tier fruit fills it faster. Once full, it has a 2-minute cooldown.

The gear box is mostly jelly: Bland Jelly 45%, Jack-O-Jelly 35%, Sugar Watering Can 14%, Pumpkin Lollipop 5% and Toffee Tether 1%.

Being top contributor triples your Haunted Egg odds and doubles the count. If you're farming Knights for free, that's where to do it.

Dracuvine: the 2.5 trillion Sheckle seed

The event's Transcendent crop isn't in the Halloween Market. It's in the regular Seed Shop at 2,500,000,000,000 Sheckles, 1,599 Robux or 1,599 Trade Tokens, with a 1 in 700 restock chance.

It's multi-harvest, and every 5 minutes it gives a nearby fruit the Vamp mutation (x3).

Vamp is one of the three ingredients of Supernatural (x37), along with Spooky and Ghostly. The Eyeball Monster applies Spooky, so it and Dracuvine cover two of the three. You still need Ghostly.

Every combo, Supernatural included, is in the Grow a Garden mutations guide.

Ghoul Garden

Flip your garden to Ghoul Garden mode and it takes Halloween plants only. No regular crops, pets, eggs or gear.

The HUD buttons go Halloween-themed too. Set your regular crops up first, because you can't place them while the switch is on.

What to do first

  1. Buy Candy Corn Carrots and Spider Shrubs and clear Black Cat sets 1 and 2, then grab a Pumpkin Lantern and a Candy Cluster for sets 3 and 4.
  2. Buy every Haunted Sprinkler that stocks. You need Haunted crops from set 5 on.
  3. Fill the Witches Brew whenever it's off cooldown. That's where your free Haunted Eggs come from.
  4. Skip the Lantern Wisp plan unless you'll buy a Haunted Well.
  5. Save the Knight grind for after you see how Haunted pets actually perform.

Chest odds from last week's event are in the Fairy Event guide. Hatch times for every other egg are on the eggs page.
