Grow a Garden Eggs — Every Hatch Chance
All 35 documented eggs with exact hatch odds, hatch times, and full pet pools — standard Pet Shop eggs, event and merchant eggs, and the retired eggs whose pets now only circulate through trading.
Grow a Garden has 7 standard Pet Shop eggs — Common, Uncommon, Rare, Legendary, Mythical, Bug, and Jungle — plus event and merchant eggs like the Zen, Gem, and Hive Egg. The Pet Egg Shop restocks every 30 minutes, you can hatch 3 eggs at once (up to 13 with upgrades), and every egg's exact hatch chances are listed below.
How Eggs Work
Eggs are the only way to obtain almost every pet in Grow a Garden. You buy them from the Pet Egg Shop (restocks every 30 minutes), earn them from events and merchants, or craft them. Place an egg anywhere on your plot, wait out its hatch timer, and it hatches into one random pet from that egg's pool at the odds listed below.
- Egg slots: you can hatch 3 eggs at once by default. Up to 5 extra slots come from Robux or trading in aged pets, and 5 more from the Ascension Shop at 40 Garden Coins each — 13 eggs maximum.
- Faster hatching: pets like the Kiwi, Chicken, Rooster, Bald Eagle, Chicken Zombie, Sunny-Side Chicken, and Blood Kiwi reduce egg hatch time. Robux can skip the wait entirely.
- No gifting: eggs cannot be gifted to other players.
- Exclusive pools: no pet hatches from two different egg types — if you want a specific pet, there is exactly one egg that drops it.
- Crafting:the Black Spotty Egg is currently the only craftable egg, taking the Anti Bee Egg's old role after the Bizzy Bee Event 2026.

Retired Eggs
These eggs are no longer obtainable. Their pets only circulate through trading now, which is what makes pulls like the Disco Bee and Corrupted Kitsune so valuable — check the tier list to see which retired-egg pets are still meta.
Which Egg Should You Buy?
Early game:Common and Uncommon Eggs are cheap, fast (10–20 minutes), and fill your first pet slots. Don't chase rarity yet — any pet ability beats an empty slot.
Mid game:the Legendary Egg is the best odds-to-payoff jump — a 10.64% Sea Otter chance is genuinely achievable, and the 4-hour timer fits an overnight hatch. The Mythical Egg's headline pull (Red Fox, 1.5%) is a longer shot.
Late game: Bug and Jungle Eggs are the premium standard chases — 8-hour timers with 1% odds on the Dragonfly and Tiger respectively. Pair hatching sessions with hatch-speed pets so the timers overlap your farming loop.
Event windows:when the Travelling Merchant carries the Zen Egg, it's the single most valuable buy in the game — the 0.08% Kitsune is the rarest standard egg pull and a top-tier pet on our tier list. The Gem Egg's twin 0.5% Divine pulls (Diamond Panther, Ruby Squid) make it the next-best gamble.
Once a pet hatches, see which abilities combine best on our pet pairings guide, and check the full roster of all 328 pets in the pet database.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many eggs can you hatch at once in Grow a Garden?
Three by default. You can add up to 5 extra slots with Robux or by trading in aged pets, and another 5 by buying egg slot upgrades for 40 Garden Coins each in the Ascension Shop — a maximum of 13 eggs hatching at once.
What is the rarest pet you can hatch from an egg?
The Kitsune, at 0.08% from the Zen Egg — roughly 1 in 1,250 hatches. Among the standard Pet Shop eggs, the rarest pulls are the Dragonfly (1%, Bug Egg), Tiger (1%, Jungle Egg), and Red Fox (1.5%, Mythical Egg).
How do you make eggs hatch faster?
Equip pets that reduce egg hatch time — Kiwi, Chicken, Rooster, Bald Eagle, Chicken Zombie, Sunny-Side Chicken, or Blood Kiwi — or skip the remaining time entirely with Robux.
How often does the egg shop restock?
The Pet Egg Shop restocks every 30 minutes. Cheaper eggs appear far more often than rare ones — a Common Egg is in stock almost every refresh, while a Bug or Jungle Egg only appears occasionally.
Can you gift eggs to other players?
No. Eggs cannot be gifted — every player buys their own from the Pet Egg Shop or earns them through events, merchants, and crafting. Hatched pets can change hands instead.
Can the same pet come from two different eggs?
No — no pet hatches from two different egg types. Premium (Robux) versions of an egg share the same pet pool as the standard version, just with slightly different odds, so a Kitsune only ever comes from a Zen Egg.
Do retired event eggs ever come back?
Some do. Event eggs marked obtainable on the wiki return through the Travelling Merchant rotation — the Fall Egg relies on this — while the Hive Egg is currently available directly through the Bizzy Bee Event’s Honey Garden.
