Dive For Eggs Open Beta: How to Join, Codes and Tips

Dive For Eggs is open for beta testing on Roblox. You dive into an ocean trench, grab glowing eggs before your air runs out, and hatch them into fish that earn coins in your own aquarium.

We made this one. BloxGuidesGG built Dive For Eggs, so read this as an announcement from the developers, not a review. We want players to find what's broken before the full launch.

How to join the beta

• Play it here: Dive For Eggs on Roblox (shown as "Dive For Eggs 🐠 [BETA]").
• It's free to play. Up to 6 players per server, each with their own aquarium.
• Who can join right now: Roblox opens brand-new games only to players 16 and older who have completed Roblox's age check. Younger players can join once the game meets Roblox's requirements for younger audiences. We'll update this post when that happens.

How Dive For Eggs works

• Jump in and swim down. Your oxygen runs out faster the deeper you go. If it hits zero you black out, wake up at your aquarium and lose the eggs you were carrying.
• Grab eggs and swim them back to your aquarium. They hatch in your nests in a few seconds to two minutes.
• Your fish earn coins every second, even while you're offline (half rate, for up to an hour).
• Spend coins at the Dive Shop on five upgrades: Oxygen Tank, Fins (swim speed), Egg Bag, Fish Food and Aquarium.

Five zones, 35 fish

• Five depth zones: Sunlit Shallows, Kelp Forest, Twilight Reef, Midnight Caves and The Abyss. Seven fish live in each; the fish index on our Dive For Eggs hub lists all of them.
• Every egg is plain, spotted or a glassy gem egg. Rarer eggs hatch rarer fish.
• Any egg can hatch a Big (6%), Huge (1%) or Giant (0.1%) fish. A Giant earns 10x coins.
• Fish can also hatch Glowing, Golden or Rainbow.
• Collect all seven fish in a zone's Index page for +10% coins forever.

Big Eggs and their guardians

Every zone hides one Big Egg in a nest, guarded by a sleeping creature: the Crab, the Moray Eel, the Barracuda, the Giant Squid and, in The Abyss, the Lurker. Take the egg and the guardian wakes up and chases you. Swim above its zone and out of reach to keep the egg. A Big Egg always hatches a Big or bigger fish from one zone deeper.

The sign over each nest says which Fins speed outswims its guardian: 16, 18, 22, 30 and 40.

Working codes

Open the Codes button in the game's menu and type:

• DIVEIN: 500 coins and 5 minutes of Coin Rush (your fish earn 2x coins).
• GLOWUP: a Glimmering Egg.

Tips for your first hour

1. Your first fish is always a Pufferfish. Upgrade Oxygen Tank and Egg Bag early so every trip brings home more.
2. Deeper zones hold richer fish. Push one zone down each time your Oxygen Tank grows, and turn back before the air bar runs low.
3. Dive near another player. A dive buddy within 25 studs makes your oxygen drain 30% slower, and friends in your server add +10% coins each (up to +30%).
4. Watch the clock. An ocean event starts every 10 minutes, and Golden Current doubles everyone's coins.
5. Fuse duplicates. Three fish exactly alike become one fish a size bigger and a color shinier at the Fusion Stand. Giant and Rainbow fish are as good as it gets.
6. Sell extras to Fishmonger Gill at the Sell Stand. A fish sells for 10 seconds of its income.
7. Claim your playtime gifts and the daily chest. The chest builds a 7-day streak.

Rebirth and Pearls

Once a run reaches The Abyss and earns enough coins (100 billion the first time), you can rebirth for Pearls. Pearls buy permanent perks: Swift Fins, Deep Breath, Golden Scales and Egg Pouch. Your Index, Pearls and perks carry over.

What "beta" means here

The game is playable start to finish, but it's early. There's no trading and no sound yet. Updates come from what testers report, and each one brings a new code. Anything sold in the game has a fixed, known result: no loot boxes, and eggs only come from diving.

Swim up and out of its zone; a red banner shows how high you need to go. Faster Fins make it easier: the sign over each Big Egg says the speed that outswims its guardian.
