Fisch Beginner's Guide
Everything you need to know to start your fishing adventure in Roblox Fisch. From your first cast to catching legendaries.
Getting Started
Fisch is a deep-sea fishing simulator on Roblox where you explore diverse biomes, catch over 100 species of fish, upgrade your rods, and work toward legendary and mythical catches. The game rewards patience, knowledge of locations, and smart rod and bait choices.
Your journey begins on Moosewood Island with nothing but a Flimsy Rod. From there, you will sell fish for C$ (the in-game currency), upgrade your gear, travel to new islands, and uncover rare species hidden in volcanic pools, frozen lakes, and abyssal depths.
Your First Steps
Start at Moosewood, talk to Pierre
You spawn at Moosewood Island. Find Pierre the merchant near the dock. He will explain the basics and buy your fish.
Use your Flimsy Rod to catch your first fish
Equip the Flimsy Rod from your inventory and cast into the water. Complete the fishing minigame to reel in your catch. Start with Anchovy and Bream.
Sell fish for C$ at the nearby merchant
Talk to Pierre to sell your catches. Every fish has a value based on its C$/kg rate and weight. Stack up those early earnings.
Buy Plastic Rod (750 C$) or Carbon Rod (2,000 C$)
Visit the Rod Shop and upgrade. The Plastic Rod handles up to 100kg. If you can save a bit more, the Carbon Rod at 2,000 C$ is the best early-game value with 25% luck and 600kg capacity.
Explore Terrapin Island and Roslit Bay
Once equipped, travel to Terrapin Island for tropical catches or Roslit Bay for the lucrative Arapaima (90kg average!). The Orc NPC at Roslit Bay trades Pufferfish for a free Magma Rod.
Rod Progression
Follow this upgrade path from starter to endgame. Each rod unlocks new possibilities.
Best Starter Locations
Moosewood
BeginnerYour starting island with Pierre the merchant. Catch Anchovy, Bass, Bream, and Perch. Catfish and Pike offer decent early income. The Sturgeon is a rare legendary here worth pursuing.
Roslit Bay
IntermediateA coastal bay with diverse saltwater catches. Arapaima are incredibly profitable at 90kg average weight. Trade Pufferfish to the Orc NPC for a free Magma Rod. Barracuda and Red Snapper provide solid income.
Snowcap Island
IntermediateA frozen island with cold-water species. The Pond Emperor is a legendary catch worth pursuing with Cricket bait. Arctic Char appear during snowy weather. Good stepping stone before deeper waters.
Essential Tips
Always use bait; even Worms help
Fishing without bait limits your catches. Worms cost only 5 C$ each and work on most freshwater fish. Always keep a stock.
Upgrade your rod ASAP; Carbon Rod at 2K C$ is great value
The Carbon Rod gives you 25% luck, 600kg max weight, and solid control. It is the single best early investment you can make.
Visit Merlin on Sunstone Island for enchanting materials
Merlin sells the Enchanted Rod (35,000 C$) and Golden Worm bait. Sunstone Island also has the rare Golden Koi legendary.
Use the Lucky Rod (4,500 C$) for farming rare catches
With 177% luck, the Lucky Rod dramatically increases your chances of hooking Rare and Legendary fish. Essential for mid-game grinding.
Complete your Bestiary to 70% to unlock the Destiny Rod
The Bestiary tracks all species caught. At 70% completion, Caleia at The Arch sells the Destiny Rod (190,000 C$) with 200 luck and 50,000kg capacity.
Learn the fishing minigame timing; Control stat helps
Higher Control makes the reeling minigame easier. Practice the timing on common fish before attempting legendaries.
Save for the Destiny Rod before buying Expert rods
Expert rods cost 700K-950K C$. The Destiny Rod at 190K C$ gives you nearly the same capability for a fraction of the price. Prioritize it.
Trade Pufferfish to Orc at Roslit Bay for free Magma Rod
The Orc NPC at Roslit Bay accepts a Pufferfish and gives you the Magma Rod. This rod is required for fishing in volcanic areas like Roslit Volcano.
Use Totems for special fishing conditions
Totems change weather, time, or spawns at specific spots. The Sundial Totem at Ancient Isle unlocks the Megalodon encounter.
