What Are RIVALS Codes?
Rivals codes are redeemed through the Reward Button inside the in-game Shop, and there is one requirement that trips up more players than anything else: the game only accepts a code if you are following at least one of the RIVALS developers — @Nosniy or @SenseiWarrior — on Roblox at the moment you redeem. If a valid code refuses to go through, that follow check is almost always the reason.
Unlike most Roblox games, Rivals does not tie its regular codes to updates. It ties them to likes. A code board in the lobby refreshes every 50,000 likes, issuing a new code in the FREE[Number] format where the number climbs by one per milestone — the wiki's most recent listed milestone code is FREE187, worth 3 Keys. This system has evolved: the game originally used a REWARD[Number] format (REWARD1 through REWARD50) that refreshed every 5,000 likes, and the threshold moved to 50,000 likes starting with FREE175. Each new milestone code retires the previous one, which is why the expired list runs unbroken from FREE51 to FREE186. A parallel COMMUNITY[Number] series hands out a Community Wrap on a random weapon; COMMUNITY24 is the current one, with COMMUNITY1 through COMMUNITY23 all expired.
Most codes pay out small amounts of Keys — the currency that buys Wrap Boxes, Charm Capsules, Finisher Packs, Daily Shop items, weapon purchases and leveling, and winstreak recovery — typically 1 to 5 Keys per code. Bigger one-off rewards have historically come from milestone and update codes that are now expired: a Day 1 Charm at release, cosmetics for the 100M, 1B, 5B, and 10B visit milestones, and seasonal codes granting event currency like Candy and Crystals. The current exception is RIVALSSUMMER, a live Summer Event (Update 21) code worth 3 Tropical Chests — event chests that roll wraps, charms, and finishers. One quirk worth knowing: ELBILLUG ("gullible" backwards) is a real, working code that intentionally grants nothing — it started as a community joke and the developers added it to the game as one. Also note that several codes include underscores or punctuation (ROBLOX_RTC, and the expired THANKYOU_1BVISITS!), so enter them exactly as written.

What RIVALS Code Rewards Actually Mean
Codes drop different reward types, and not all of them are equally valuable. Here's what each one does for your progression so you know which to prioritize.
Keys
The main reward from active codes, in small amounts (1 Key from BONUS or BOOST, 3 from FREE-series milestone codes, 5 from ROBLOX_RTC). Keys buy Wrap Boxes, Charm Capsules, and Finisher Packs, purchase and level up weapons, recover winstreaks, and buy or refresh Daily Shop items.
Community Wraps
The COMMUNITY[Number] code series grants one Community Wrap applied to a random weapon. Wraps re-skin a weapon's texture; the random-weapon roll means you don't choose which gun gets it.
Milestone cosmetics (all expired)
One-off charms, wraps, finishers, and a skin tied to the game's visit milestones — Day 1 Charm (RELEASE), 100M Visits charm, 1B Visits Wrap, 5B Visits Finisher, and the 10B Visits Assault Rifle skin. All are expired and unobtainable via codes now.
Event rewards
Seasonal update codes have granted 250 Candy (HAPPYRIVALSWEEN) and 250 Crystals (MERRYMERRYXMAS<3") during holiday events — both expired. The Summer Event code RIVALSSUMMER is currently live and grants 3 Tropical Chests (event lootboxes containing wraps, charms, and finishers).
Nothing (joke code)
ELBILLUG — "gullible" spelled backwards — redeems successfully and grants "Nothing!" by design. It began as a community joke about a fake free-skin-case code and was added to the game as an intentional gag.
Troubleshooting: When Codes Don't Work
Most code redemption problems trace back to a small number of recurring issues. If a code on the list above isn't working, check these first before reporting it.
A code everyone says is active won't redeem for you
Rivals requires you to follow at least one developer — @Nosniy or @SenseiWarrior — on Roblox at the time you redeem. Follow one of them on their Roblox profile, then retry the code from the Reward Button in the Shop.
A FREE-numbered or COMMUNITY-numbered code shows as invalid
Only the newest number in each series works. Every FREE code from FREE51 to FREE186 is expired, and COMMUNITY1 through COMMUNITY23 are expired — a new milestone code retires the previous one each time the game gains 50,000 likes. Check the code board in the lobby for the current number.
ELBILLUG redeemed but you received nothing
That is the intended behavior. ELBILLUG is a deliberate joke code (read it backwards) that grants "Nothing!" — it is not bugged and there is no reward to claim.
Code with an underscore or symbol keeps failing
Several Rivals codes contain punctuation — ROBLOX_RTC has an underscore, and past codes like THANKYOU_1BVISITS! and MERRYMERRYXMAS<3" included symbols. Type the code exactly as listed, including every underscore and punctuation mark, rather than guessing at a cleaned-up version.
