Fisch Minor Update: Megamouth Shark, Humpback & Catch Flags

Fisch’s May 16 Minor Update adds two new rare fish events (Megamouth Shark and Humpback Whale), a completely rebuilt Catch Flags system where 1-in-a-million catches create global map markers, and a hidden questline at Moosewood Lighthouse.

The Fisch Minor Update dropped on May 16, 2026 — Fisch’s sixth content drop since March. This is a smaller update by volume, but the Catch Flags overhaul is one of the more impactful quality-of-life changes in recent memory. Here’s everything added and what it means for how you play.

Megamouth Shark

The Megamouth Shark is a new rare encounter in the Ocean biome. Unlike most ocean fish, it only spawns during nighttime and exhibits a specific behavior pattern: it slowly follows drifting Plankton near the water surface. This behavior is the key tell that distinguishes it from other large fish in the area.

How to Maximize Your Chances

  • Fish at night — it won’t appear during daytime hours
  • Use Krill Bait — officially noted to increase spawn event chance
  • Watch the surface — the Megamouth follows visible Plankton drift patterns; locating Plankton clusters is the best positioning strategy

Exact spawn odds haven’t been officially published. The fish is described as rare but not in the extreme ultra-rare tier, suggesting it’s comparable to other named shark encounters in the game. Community data on actual catch rates is still accumulating post-launch.

Humpback Whale Migration

The Humpback Whale is a new random ocean event — not a fish that spawns on demand, but a migration that appears periodically across the entire Ocean biome. When it triggers, one or more Humpback Whales travel across the sea in curved, unpredictable paths.

Key Differences from the Blue Whale

FeatureBlue WhaleHumpback Whale
Path TypeMostly linearCurved, unpredictable
RarityRareRarer than Blue Whale
Spawn TypeRandom eventRandom event

The curved path behavior means you can’t reliably pre-position for a Humpback the way you can for a Blue Whale. When you see the migration event trigger, move to intercept the arc rather than chasing from behind.

Catch Flags System

This is the biggest change in the update. Catch Flags existed before but were removed and rebuilt from scratch. The new system works as follows:

Local Catch Flags

  • Triggered by any catch with 1/1,000 odds or rarer
  • Places a visible flag marker at the exact location on the map where the fish was caught
  • Displays the actual catch odds of the fish — so you can see whether a flag was a 1/1,000 or a 1/50,000 catch
  • Visible to you and nearby players in your server

Global Catch Flags

  • Triggered by catches with 1/100,000 odds or rarer
  • Creates a Global Catch Flag visible to every player in every server simultaneously
  • This is a server-wide broadcast: everyone sees where and what was caught
  • Reserved for truly exceptional catches — the rarest fish in the game

Why This Matters

The Catch Flags system serves two purposes. First, it documents rare catches with social proof — flags that show real odds give the community accurate data on how rare specific fish actually are. Second, Global Catch Flags create natural community moments. When a 1/100,000 catch flag appears, it’s visible to the entire Fisch player base. Expect these to drive discussion and serve as a live community leaderboard for exceptional catches.

For regular players, Local Flags are most useful for identifying productive fishing spots. If you see a cluster of flags at a specific map location, that area has had recent rare catch activity — worth spending time there.

Moosewood Lighthouse Questline

A mysterious figure now appears near the Moosewood Lighthouse at night. The figure “has trouble resting” — that’s the only official description given in the patch notes. The questline is hidden, meaning the trigger and full content haven’t been officially documented.

Based on community exploration at launch: the figure is present only during in-game nighttime and initiates dialogue when interacted with. The full quest chain and its rewards are being mapped by the community. Check the Fisch hub for updates as the questline gets documented.

FAQ

Do I need special gear to trigger the Megamouth Shark?

No special rod is required — Krill Bait increases spawn chance but isn’t mandatory. Any Ocean-capable rod will work when the Megamouth is present.

Can Catch Flags disappear?

Flags placed this session are visible until the server resets. The system doesn’t appear to have a permanent persistent map layer — they’re per-session markers.

Where is Moosewood Lighthouse?

Moosewood Lighthouse is near the northern section of the main fishing area. It’s a recognizable structure — if you haven’t been there, look for the lighthouse tower north of the Moosewood biome access.

Is the Humpback Whale catchable on every rod?

Based on community testing, it appears to require a rod with sufficient Ocean biome capability. Exact minimum rod tier isn’t officially confirmed — use the best ocean rod you have available.

Grow a Garden 2 Sugar Egg Preview: Muffin Man (Super, 0.1997%), Fat Cat, Chocolate Lab, Sugar Bunny & the Four Muffin Gears Landing August 22, 2026

Grow a Garden 2's next drop is the Sugar Egg, releasing on August 22, 2026 with four new pets and four still-mysterious Muffin gears. The wiki has already filled in every pull rate: Sugar Bunny at 49.8752% (Common — hops around and gives +5 walk speed and +5 jump height at base), Chocolate Lab at 29.9551% (Uncommon — sniffs out a 1% free duplicate whenever you buy a seed, capped at 10%), Fat Cat at 19.97% (Rare — lounges around and scales your character size, x1.15 at base up to x1.625 on a Mega Rainbow), and the chase Muffin Man at 0.1997% (Super — every 10 minutes goes on a Sugar High, making everything you sell worth 1.25x for 10 seconds, with variant boosts capped at +70% on a Mega Rainbow). Four themed Muffin gears (Blueberry, Pumpkin, Carrot, Gold) are also dropping the same day but every effect on the wiki is still TBA — we flag every unknown honestly. Speaking as someone playing GaG2 since launch, this is the first pet-focused RNG since Fall Harvest's Shadow Dragon rush, the Muffin Man passive is the first true "active" sell-multiplier the game has ever shipped, and the raw math on cutting 500 Sugar Eggs at 0.1997% each is uglier than the tier headline suggests. Here is the full wiki-cited breakdown — every rate, every variant scaling table, and the honest opportunity cost of chasing Muffin Man vs. banking Sheckles for whatever Sunday brings.

Steal a Brainrot Update 62 REBIRTH 19 Guide: La Fuse Machine (95M/s Secret), Candini Fluffini (57.5M/s), Grief Shield Gear, the 28th Base Slot & What Actually Changed the Day After Launch (August 16, 2026)

Steal a Brainrot Update 62 — the REBIRTH 19 update — went live on August 15, 2026 and the wiki has now filled in every number. The rebirth wall itself asks for $30 Qa cash and one La Grande Combinasion Secret brainrot and pays back with an x19 income multiplier, a $250T cash bonus, +10 seconds of base-lock time, and the 28th base slot the community has been asking for since Rebirth 17. Two brand-new Secret brainrots hit the RNG Machine: La Fuse Machine ($95M/s income, 35B cost, blocky blue robot with cyan accents, the first brainrot literally themed on one of the game's own machines) and Candini Fluffini ($57.5M/s income, 14B cost, a pastel-blue voxel lamb with an ice-cream cart on its back), both from creator BRAZILIAN SPYDER. The Rebirth 19 gear unlock is the Grief Shield — a one-hit shield that soaks a griefer's slap but explicitly does NOT protect the person you're actively stealing from, which will surprise anyone who thinks they can hoard-run with it. Timers on every Lucky Block are gone, meaning you can pop them the second you buy them, and the new RNG Machine Luck slot exists but is Admin-Abuse only, non-purchaseable. This is the day-after playbook: the honest math on whether Rebirth 19 is worth pushing tonight, the La Fuse Machine vs Candini Fluffini price-per-income breakdown, why the Grief Shield changes early-Rebirth defense but not late-game stealing, and what to hoard before Update 63 lands on August 22.

Grow a Garden Harvest Moon Part 3 Is LIVE: Every Robux Buy-Outright Price, Every Full Craft Recipe & What Bountiful, Threshing, Lunarbound and Starry Pet Mutations Actually Do (August 15, 2026)

Grow a Garden's Harvest Moon Event Part 3 goes live on August 15, 2026, and every number that was TBA in yesterday's preview is now wiki-confirmed. Buy-outright Robux prices are locked in: Starry Strawberry Seed 99, Moonbeam Radar 199, Wheat Crow 289, Wheatcap Seed 199, Harvest Golem 699, Harvest Melon Seed 719. Every crafting recipe has its full ingredient list — Harvest Golem is the recipe that will make veterans blink because it eats a Moon Egg AND a Mythical Egg AND a Burning Bud AND a Romanesco plus 70 Moon Coins, while Harvest Melon requires a Moon Chest on top of three seed ingredients and 120 Moon Coins. And the four new pet mutations finally have their real passive lines filled in: Bountiful is 15% XP + 5–10% Night-fruit duplication (x20 sell), Threshing is 15% passive + 6–12% tool preservation (x30), Lunarbound is 20% XP + 130% size + 2.5–5% Moonbound-on-collect (x50), and Starry is 25% passive + 25% XP + a 20–40s cooldown reduction on a random pet ability every 2–4 minutes for every Starry pet in your garden (x80). This is the launch-day rundown: how the Robux prices actually stack up per hour of grind saved, why Harvest Golem is the ceiling craft that most veterans will chase first, and the honest read on whether the buy-outright button is ever worth it. As someone with thousands of hours in the original Grow a Garden, this is what to do the moment Part 3 loads in.
