Steal a Brainrot Values & Prices

Quick Answer

Steal a Brainrot has 520 brainrots with costs ranging from $25 (Noobini Pizzanini) to $1T (Spyder Elephant). The best-value brainrot at each rarity is the one with the lowest payback time — cost divided by income per second. Common brainrots pay back in as little as 25 seconds, while OG brainrots take about 17–18 minutes. Mutations like Phantom (12×) multiply income without changing cost, cutting payback time proportionally.

Every brainrot's cost, income, and payback time — ranked by value, not just raw income. Data auto-synced from stealabrainrot.fandom.com — last sync August 12, 2026.

How values work — Reviewed August 2026

This page focuses on cost-efficiency — which brainrots give you the best return on investment. Costs and income/s come from the in-game shop, mirrored by the Fandom wiki. Payback time (cost ÷ income/s) is computed from that data. Trade values are NOT included — they are demand-driven and change constantly. For raw income rankings, see the tier list.

Price Ranges by Rarity

How costs, income, and payback time scale across all 8 rarity tiers. Higher rarities cost more and earn more, but payback times also climb — OG paybacks run about 17–18 minutes versus as little as 25 seconds for the best Common.

How Payback Time Works

Every brainrot has a payback time: how many seconds of income it takes to earn back what you paid. The formula is simple:

Payback Time = Cost ÷ Income per Second

A brainrot that costs $100B and earns $100M/s has a payback of 1,000 seconds (~16.7 minutes). After that, every dollar it earns is pure profit. When choosing between two brainrots of the same rarity, the one with the lower payback time is the better investment.

That said, higher-rarity brainrots are almost always worth the longer payback. A Secret brainrot earning 100M/s with a 10-minute payback will outpace a Common earning 13/s with a 2-minute payback within seconds of breaking even. Use payback time to compare within a rarity tier, not across them.

How Mutations Change Value

Mutations multiply income without changing cost — they are effectively free value. A mutation on an expensive brainrot is worth far more in absolute terms than the same mutation on a cheap one. The income formula is:

Final Income = Base Income × (Mutation Multiplier + Trait₁ + Trait₂ + …)

Mutations divide payback time proportionally. A brainrot with a 1,000-second payback and a Phantom mutation (12×) effectively pays back in 83 seconds.

Stealing Economics

When a brainrot is walking toward another player's base, you can buy it for 150% of its base cost. This "steal premium" is the core economy of the game — and understanding it matters for high-value brainrots.

When Stealing Is Worth It

Stealing a rare brainrot (Brainrot God, Secret, OG) at 150% cost is almost always worth it because these brainrots spawn infrequently on the Red Carpet. Paying 50% extra for a Meowl ($975B steal cost vs $650B shop) is still better than waiting hours for another OG spawn.

Protecting Your Brainrots

Other players can also steal your brainrots at 150% cost while they walk to your base. Higher-floor base slots (the 2nd floor unlocks at Rebirth 2, the 3rd at Rebirth 10) are harder to reach. Per the wiki, a thief's speed drops ~41% and jump height ~40% while carrying a stolen brainrot, making escape harder.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best value brainrot in Steal a Brainrot?+
The best value depends on your rarity tier. Noobini Pizzanini (Common) has the fastest payback at just 25 seconds, and Los Mariachis (Secret) at 100 seconds is among the best ROI picks of the high-income brainrots. Within each tier, the brainrot with the lowest cost-to-income ratio gives you the fastest return on your investment.
How is payback time calculated?+
Payback time = Cost ÷ Income per second. It tells you how many seconds of income it takes for a brainrot to earn back what you paid for it. Lower payback = better value. After the payback period, everything that brainrot earns is pure profit.
Should I buy the most expensive brainrot or the best value one?+
In most cases, buy the highest-income brainrot you can afford — even if its payback time is longer. A Meowl (OG, 600M/s) takes ~18 minutes to pay back, but earns so much more per second than any lower-rarity brainrot that it outpaces them almost immediately. Payback time matters most when choosing between brainrots of the same rarity.
How much does it cost to steal a brainrot?+
When someone else's brainrot is walking to their base, you can buy it for 150% of its base shop cost. For example, a brainrot that costs $100B normally would cost $150B to steal. This premium means stealing is only worthwhile for brainrots you can't easily buy from the Red Carpet yourself.
Do mutations change a brainrot's value?+
Mutations multiply income without changing the cost, which dramatically improves a brainrot's value. A Phantom mutation (12×) on any brainrot divides its effective payback time by 12. Even a Gold mutation (1.25×) is a straight 25% income boost for free.
What are the most expensive brainrots?+
OG brainrots top the price chart: Spyder Elephant at $1T, Strawberry Elephant at $750B, Meowl at $650B, Headless Horseman at $600B (no longer obtainable), John Pork at $500B, and Skibidi Toilet at $450B. Top Secrets like Dragon Aquanini ($375B) sit in the next price bracket.
Does this page include trade values?+
No. This page covers in-game shop costs and income-per-second values — both are fixed game data that can be verified in-game and on the wiki. Trade values are community-driven, fluctuate with demand, and vary between trading servers. We do not publish trade values because any static list goes stale within days.
Where does this data come from?+
All cost and income values are auto-synced from stealabrainrot.fandom.com, where community editors mirror the in-game shop UI within hours of each patch. Last sync: August 12, 2026. Payback times are computed from that data (cost ÷ income/s).
