Understanding Mutations
Mutations are special variants applied to brainrots that multiply their income generation. Each brainrot can have exactly one mutation active at a time. Mutations range from 1x (no bonus) to 10x (Rainbow), making them critical for maximizing your income strategy.
Rarer mutations are harder to obtain but provide significantly better multipliers. Plan your mutation strategy based on which brainrots you're focusing on.

Index Completion Bonus
For each complete mutation index you collect, you gain a permanent +0.5x income multiplier that stacks across all your brainrots.
Example: Complete 11 mutation indices = +5.5x permanent multiplier to all brainrot income
This makes completing mutations a priority for late-game progression. Focus on easier mutations first to build your multiplier stack quickly.
