Adopt Me's Journey to Summer Camp event is live, running from May 29 through June 19, 2026, and it changes theme every week. Week 1 was a land-travel theme built around a touring truck; Week 2 (live now, launched June 5) flips to water travel with a boat and an underwater cleanup activity. The marquee pets are the Bison (Week 1) and the Nurse Shark (Week 2), both Rare and both bought with the event's Compass Coins currency. Here's the complete guide to earning coins efficiently and what's worth buying before each week's items rotate out.

Event Overview & Compass Coins

Three NPCs — Angela, Mikey, and Beaver Bob — front the event and walk you through it. The currency is Compass Coins, earned through event activities. Critically:

  • Every completed pet need (the standard hunger/thirst/etc. objectives) rewards 50 Compass Coins during the event — so keeping pets out and tended is passive income.
  • The theme rotates weekly: Week 1 = land travel, Week 2 = water travel.
  • All pets and items are only available during the specific week they release. Miss the week, miss the item (until a possible future return). Plan your coin spend accordingly.

Week 1 — Land Travel (Truck Tour & Cooling)

Week 1 revolved around two alternating activities centered on a Postie Van:

Truck Tour

When the board timer next to the Nursery ended, the Postie Van spawned and drove a set loop across Adoption Island (the two paths alternated each tour). While it drove, Compass Coins spawned on top of it — 5 coins each — and for every 30 seconds spent standing on the moving van, it dropped coins on the ground worth 20 each.

Truck Cooling

After every other Tour, the van parked by the Hospital and the Cooling activity began. You grabbed three buckets (two behind the Nursery, one between the Nursery and the bridge), filled them from the container behind the van, and put out the fire at the front — 10 coins per bucket delivered. Once the fire was out, the back opened and the Bison became purchasable until the next Tour started. Completing the "Cool Down the Truck!" pet ailment paid 50 coins.

Week 2 — Water Travel (Boat Tour & Current Diving)

Week 2 (live now) swaps the truck for a boat and the fire for ocean cleanup:

Boat Tour

When the board timer ends, a boat departs from the dock by the Hospital, loops through the Beach Party area past the Beach Shop to the waterfall and back (paths alternate). Compass Coins spawn on the boat at 5 each, and standing on the boat pays a generous 160 coins per 30 seconds — a big step up from Week 1's van rate.

Current Diving

After every other Boat Tour, the boat docks and Current Diving opens. Enter the underwater area through the blue ring on the dock and collect ten garbage bags10 coins each. Clear all ten and the Nurse Shark surfaces under the boat, purchasable until the next Boat Tour begins. Coins also scatter through the underwater area afterward at 5 each.

Fastest Compass Coin Farming

To afford the Nurse Shark (7,000 coins) plus the Week 2 accessories before June 19, prioritize in this order:

  1. Ride the boat for the 160-coin / 30-second bonus. This is by far the best rate in the event — far above Week 1's 20-coin van bonus. Park yourself on the boat the entire Tour.
  2. Keep pets out and complete their needs. Each completed need is 50 coins and stacks passively while you do everything else.
  3. Do every Current Diving cycle. Ten bags at 10 coins each is 100 guaranteed coins, plus the post-clear scatter, plus it's the only way to unlock the Nurse Shark purchase window.
  4. Grab on-boat coins (5 each) as they spawn — minor, but free while you're already riding.

The math: the Nurse Shark at 7,000 coins plus the three Week-2 accessories (2,000 + 3,100 + 5,000 = 10,100) is ~17,100 coins for a full Week 2 clear. The boat bonus alone — 160 coins per 30 seconds — gets you there fastest if you commit your active play to Tours.

Adopt Me & Codes — The Honest Answer

One of the most common searches is "Adopt Me codes," so to be clear: Adopt Me does not have a code redemption system. It never has used the codes-for-rewards model that games like Blox Fruits or Grow a Garden use. Any site listing "working Adopt Me codes" is fabricating them. Rewards come exclusively from in-game events like this one, the daily login Star Rewards, and the Robux shop.

FAQ

When does the Journey to Summer Camp event end?
June 19, 2026. All Week 1 items are already gone; Week 2 items rotate out at event end.
How much does the Nurse Shark cost?
7,000 Compass Coins, available only during Week 2 (and only during the Current Diving window after clearing ten garbage bags).
Can I still get the Bison?
The Bison was a Week 1 pet (6,850 Compass Coins). Since items are locked to their release week, it's no longer purchasable unless the event rotates it back — plan around the current week's offerings.
What's the fastest way to earn Compass Coins?
Stand on the boat during Week 2 Boat Tours — it pays 160 coins per 30 seconds, the best rate in the event. Layer completed pet needs (50 each) on top.
Is the Ranger Beaver free?
No — it's only available in the 99-Robux Beaver Bob Bundle, not purchasable with Compass Coins.
Does Adopt Me have codes for free pets?
No. Adopt Me has never had a code system. All rewards come from events, daily Star Rewards, and the in-game shop.
