Last Verified: September 9, 2026, after the 09-05 launch and the 09-07 patch pass. Sources: the Blox Fruits Wiki pages for Updates/30, Magnet, Magnet Gacha, Magnet Token, and Codes. Two things the wiki still lists as TBA: cooldown and energy costs for every Magnet ability, and the exact damage-reduction figure against Guns while transformed. Chromatic Box chase odds have not been posted in-game either — the numbers below come from third-party tracker timesaver.gg and are cited as such.

Update 30 went live Sunday, September 5, 2026, at 8:00 AM PST (11 AM EST, 3 PM GMT, 4 PM CET) and pulled 878,744 concurrent players inside the first six hours. The wiki calls the patch Sea 1 Rework, and that is the honest headline: 17 First Sea islands rebuilt, three iconic bosses renamed and re-skinned, 40 hidden quests spread across the map, and a level cap that only moves when you find them.

The single most underdiscussed change is not the new fruit. It is the balance line at the bottom of the patch notes: all defenses reduced by 25%, aura defense down 15%, maximum HP down 10%. Every fight in the game hits harder than it did last week. Bosses feel snappier. Sea events end faster. PvP is a coin flip in fewer trades. If you have not logged in since Update 29, that is the first thing you will notice before you get anywhere near a Magnet Fruit.

Here is what actually shipped, what is worth grinding this week, and where third-party numbers are still ahead of the wiki.

What Actually Shipped in Update 30

Straight from the wiki's Updates/30 page, so nothing gets rounded away:

  • 1 new Blox Fruit: Magnet, Mythical Natural, 6,000,000 Beli or 3,500 Robux from the Blox Fruit Dealer.
  • 1 new fighting style: Advanced Combat — admin exclusive at launch, so it is not obtainable by regular players yet.
  • 17 revamped islands across the First Sea (full list below).
  • 2 removed bosses: Chief Warden and Swan, both delisted from the map.
  • 3 renamed and revamped bosses: Sky Warlord (formerly Wysper), Lightning God (formerly Thunder God), Magma General (formerly Magma Admiral).
  • Every First Sea boss now has a secret Awakened version, hinted at through the new Rumour dialogue option on NPCs.
  • 3 new quest NPCs: Desert Merchant, Angel Guard, and Secrets Master.
  • 40 Island Secrets distributed across the First Sea; each completed secret raises your personal level cap and stats cap by 5.
  • 1 new event: the Magnet Night Event, which spawns [Magnetized] and [Overcharged Magnetized] enemies at the top of every hour for a 10-minute window.
  • 1 new currency: the Magnet Token, capped at 5,000 in your inventory.
  • 1 new gacha: the Magnet Gacha at Zioles, priced at 500 tokens per roll on a two-hour shared cooldown with the standard Blox Fruit Gacha.
  • 5 new skins and 2 returning skins in the Summer 2026 Chromatic Box.
  • Blox Fruit Gacha relocation: Zioles now lives in Middle Town (Sea 1), the Cafe (Sea 2), and the Third-Sea Mansion.
  • Dragon is now available in the Blox Fruit Gacha rotation — the first time it has been reachable outside its original spawn cycles.
  • Fishing Rod mastery cap raised. The exact new ceiling is not in the notes, but any player sitting at old-cap on a rod can start grinding again.
  • Sitewide balance: all defenses cut by 25%, aura defense cut by 15%, and maximum HP cut by 10%.

The scope is heavier than an average Blox Fruits patch and the wiki calling it a "rework" is not marketing — two bosses are actually gone and three others have new names, models, health bars, and drop tables. Anyone who last touched the First Sea a year ago is not going to recognize half of it.

The Magnet Fruit — Cost, Moveset, Mastery, Transformation

Magnet is a Mythical Natural-type fruit at 6,000,000 Beli or 3,500 Robux. It has one M1 attack that scales visually across three stages, five hotkey moves, and a full-body robot transformation on V. There is no Awakening path yet.

The core loop is the Magnetic Power meter. You fill it by walking over metal scrap that Magnet moves scatter on kill. As the meter climbs, your character grows larger mechanical arms in three visual stages, and each stage pushes the M1 chain longer:

Meter StageM1 ComboPassive: Magnetic Pull
Stage 13-hit chainNone
Stage 24-hit chainModerate radius pull
Stage 35-hit chainLarger radius, stronger pull — hard to dash out of

Any damage you take drains the meter a bit. Practically that means a Magnet user who lands their kit is very hard to peel off, and a Magnet user who takes trades resets to a weaker version of themselves.

Mastery unlocks, per the wiki's ability boxes:

  • Z — Scrap Arsenal: Mastery 1. Tap fires four homing projectiles that stack pull. Hold charges a focused beam with a damage bonus on direct hits.
  • X — Magnetic Overcharge: Mastery 100. Tap builds a small cage on a single target. Hold builds a large cage over an area.
  • C — Polarizing Drop: Mastery 225. Tap grabs, lifts, and slams a target (AoE ground slam if nothing is targeted). Hold pulls in enemies and loose scrap in a wide wave, instantly filling meter.
  • F — Polarity Drive: Mastery 75. Tap grabs forward and forcibly unequips the target's sword. Hold turns on a magnetic jetpack for free-flight, ability casting mid-air, and a launch-forward option on a second F press.
  • V — Maximum Overdrive: Mastery 300. Full mech transformation. You lose access to fighting styles, swords, and guns while transformed.

Two things nobody flagged loud enough at launch:

F tap is a hard counter to sword mains. Anyone leaning on Godhuman-plus-sword combos gets their sword yanked out of their hands. The move has no cast time to speak of and no mastery gate past 75, which is fast to reach on any grinding route.

Magnet grinds like Buddha. Stage 3 M1 gets a 5-hit chain and pull-back, which lets you group weak mobs the way Buddha does with its AoE stomp — and it works everywhere including inside the Third Sea. If you were farming Buddha for grind, Magnet is a legitimate alternative that also functions in PvP, which Buddha does not.

Transformation: Maximum Overdrive

V puts you in a mech suit with ~62% damage reduction on all incoming attacks, per the wiki's Overdrive Armor entry. Gun damage reduction is also stronger but the exact number is still TBA. The catch is a hard weakness to Lightning attacks — anyone running Rumble or Lightning-based Elemental will melt the mech disproportionately.

Transformed X and C have super armour: enemy hits cannot cancel them mid-animation. That is a big deal in PvP because it removes the standard counter to grabs (interrupt the cast). Transformed Z gets aim-assisted missiles (tap) or an arm-cannon blast (hold), and F stays flight.

Pressing V again while transformed detonates the mech in place for area damage as you eject. Nobody has published a hard damage number on the self-destruct yet, so treat it as a positioning tool rather than a burst combo.

The Sea 1 Rework — 17 Islands and Three Renamed Bosses

The full revamped-islands list from Updates/30:

Pirate Starter, Marine Starter, Middle Town, Jungle, Pirate Village, Desert, Frozen Village, Marine Fortress, Skylands, Prison, Colosseum (First Sea), Magma Village, Underwater City, Upper Skylands, Fountain City, Whirlpool, Jean-Luc Island.

Every one of those got a visual pass and updated NPC dialogue. The functional changes concentrate around three boss slots and two removed ones:

ChangeIslandNotes
RemovedPrisonChief Warden delisted
RemovedMarine FortressSwan delisted
Renamed & revampedSkylandsWysper → Sky Warlord
Renamed & revampedUpper SkylandsThunder God → Lightning God
Renamed & revampedMagma VillageMagma Admiral → Magma General

All revamped bosses got new health bars, boss-specific themes, entry cinematics (the camera pans to the boss's glowing red eyes on approach), and pre-fight drop previews so you can see what is in the pool before you start the fight. That last one is the quality-of-life win: no more grinding a boss for a rumoured drop that was never in the loot table.

The bigger deal is the line "All First Sea Bosses now have a secret awakened version." Those Awakened variants are what the new Secrets Master NPC hints at through the Rumour dialogue option, and they are gated behind the same 40 secret quests that unlock the new level cap. The 09-07 hotfix added awakened boss hints to make the trail slightly less cryptic.

Level 3,000 — How Secret Levels Actually Work

The new ceiling is Level 3,000, but nobody is getting there on ordinary EXP grinding. The mechanic:

  • Every completed Island Secret quest raises your personal level cap and stat cap by 5.
  • 40 secrets exist across the First Sea — three per island on most islands, with the Great Tree excluded from Magnet event spawns and some islands holding more or fewer.
  • Islands display a star rating (1–3) for how many of their secrets you have found.
  • Complete all three secrets on any one island to unlock a fast-travel teleporter for it. The 09-07 hotfix moved this requirement — before that, teleporters unlocked for partial progress.

Talk to NPCs and use the new Rumour dialogue option to get hints. The 09-05 hotfix already fixed one exploit — players were saying "Nevermind" mid-quest to earn levels repeatedly — and the 09-07 hotfix fixed another bug where completed secrets were awarding 4 instead of the intended 5 levels. If your total earned levels feel one-shy per secret, the fix retroactively bumps the cap; your EXP from other activities will fill you in over time.

The practical read: 8 secrets clear takes you from the pre-patch 2,600 cap to 2,640. All 40 secrets is the only path to 3,000. Do not expect to sit at the new ceiling in a weekend.

The Magnet Night Event — Farming Tokens Efficiently

The event mechanic is tighter than most Blox Fruits limited windows. Straight from the Magnet Token page:

  • It fires at the top of every hour (XX:00) and runs for 10 minutes.
  • Only the lowest-level enemies on each island can spawn as [Magnetized] or [Overcharged Magnetized].
  • Roughly 1–3 modified enemies per island for the window, then that island is done until the next hour.
  • The Great Tree does not spawn modified enemies — skip it during event windows.
  • Payouts: 17–35 tokens per kill. Overcharged variants pay more and fire homing missiles that pull you into their blast.
  • Token inventory cap is 5,000.

Because spawns are per-island and finite, farming efficiency is entirely about map coverage during the 10-minute window. Two setups that dominate:

  • First Sea route: islands are physically close, minimal travel between spawns. Ideal for lower-level accounts.
  • Third Sea Sea of Treats route: five islands packed together, higher token payouts per kill. With Coral Crown or Shark Cape equipped, the wiki tips report 500–600 tokens in a single window.

Use a fast-mobility fruit for traversal — Eagle, Light, Portal, Kitsune. Private servers are strongly preferred because you are not fighting other players for a two-mob-per-island spawn.

The Magnet Gacha and the Summer 2026 Chromatic Box

The Magnet Gacha lives at Zioles in Middle Town, the Cafe, and the Third-Sea Mansion. One roll costs 500 Magnet Tokens and sits on a 2-hour cooldown shared with the standard Blox Fruit Gacha, which is the important detail: if you roll Magnet, you cannot then roll the regular gacha for two hours.

The prize pool from the wiki:

  • A random Blox Fruit (Common rarity excluded).
  • Two limited-time profile backgrounds: Beach, and Vibes (Frame Break).
  • Two limited-time accessories: the Coral Crown and the Shark Cape.
  • The Summer 2026 Chromatic Box as a Premium Box roll at a stated 5% chance.

Roll a limited-time item and you get an extra roll consumed on the spot.

The Chromatic Box itself pulls from the Chase Reward Tier. The wiki lists the skins in the pool but has not published in-game odds. Third-party tracker timesaver.gg is reporting the following distribution — treat these as community numbers, not developer-confirmed:

Chase SkinReported Chance
Lime Blade~33%
Topaz Diamond (returning)~25%
Scarlet Ghost~22%
Yellow Lightning (returning)~13%
Starlight Gravity~5%
Runic Fiend (Yeti) — mutation skin~1%
Arcsteel Magnet~1%

No pity system has been confirmed. If those numbers hold, hitting a 1% skin averages around 100 Chromatic pulls, which at 5% Chromatic drop from Magnet rolls is roughly 2,000 gacha rolls (1,000,000 Magnet Tokens). Nobody sane is chasing Arcsteel Magnet for its own sake — it drops incidentally while you farm the guaranteed fruit rolls.

Balance Changes — The 25% Defense Cut Nobody's Talking About

Three numeric changes on the bottom of the patch notes will change how the game feels this week more than any new fruit will:

  • All defenses reduced by 25% — this is the flat one that hits everyone.
  • Aura defense reduced by 15% on top of that.
  • Maximum HP reduced by 10%.

What that means practically: bosses do more relative damage, PvP trades resolve faster, and old builds tuned around surviving X hits from a specific fruit combo need to be re-tested. A Cyborg V4 that used to eat two Portal Z hits and live probably does not anymore.

One other change worth reading twice: Spirit X's burn damage was removed, listed as "likely due to a bug." If you were running Spirit specifically for the burn tick, that build is on ice until they either restore it or ship a workaround.

And a positive: Dragon is now obtainable through the Blox Fruit Gacha rotation. For anyone who has been staring at Dragon in the trade market unable to hit its stock rotations, this is a real path in.

The 09-05 and 09-07 Hotfixes

Two same-week patch passes worth knowing:

September 5 (launch day fixes): secret quests fixed to award the intended 5 levels (were awarding 4). Memory issue that prevented some players from loading resolved. Dragon Race V4 bug fixed. Arcsteel Magnet transformation C animation fixed. Submarine worker return fixed. Hats now scale correctly through transforms. Mounted dragon flight fixed. The "Nevermind" repeat-quest exploit shut down.

September 7: the Middle Town teleporter now only unlocks after you clear all secret quests on any one island (harder than the launch requirement). "Fear the Reaper" quest is completable again. Jungle island relic door works. Magnet premium icon in the fruit shop fixed. Awakened boss hints added to NPC dialogue. Various UI overlap and offset issues cleaned up.

The developers explicitly noted "more secret quest fixes to come soon," so anyone doing the secret grind should expect another patch pass before the level-3,000 route is fully clean.

Codes Check

The wiki's Codes page has not added a launch code for Update 30 (as of the September 9 pass). The active list — every free stat reset and 2x EXP window — is unchanged from the pre-Update 30 set, and it matches our Blox Fruits codes page. Nothing new to redeem specifically for the Magnet drop.

A note for anyone catching up: the last long-lived EXP code is EASTEREXP from the March 28 Easter Event. It still redeems for 20 minutes of 2x EXP. If you are pushing the new secret grind, stack it with the standard SUB2GAMERROBOT_EXP1 (30 min) and the many 20-minute Sub2 codes for close to a full boost session.

Your Week 1 Priority Order

The efficient order to work through Update 30 if you are not admin-tier already:

  1. Log in, take the 25% defense nerf on the chin. Re-test any build you had tuned around specific damage breakpoints. This is not optional — the numbers changed under your feet.
  2. Do not buy Magnet at 3,500 Robux on impulse. The Magnet Gacha now includes Magnet as one of the possible rolls, and Dragon is also in that pool. Two hours of Magnet Token farming and one roll is a real path to the fruit for free.
  3. Farm one full Magnet Night Event window to get a feel for the spawn density on your home island. Aim for 500 tokens the first hour so you can roll immediately.
  4. Start the Rumour dialogue trail on the closest Sea 1 island to unlock a teleporter. That teleporter is worth more than the +15 level cap you get from the three secrets it takes.
  5. Fight one revamped boss (Sky Warlord is a good pick — Skylands is central) to see the new health bars, drop previews, and boss theme. Do this before you commit to a boss grind route.
  6. Push secret quests toward Level 2,700 in Week 1 (10 secrets), then re-evaluate whether it is worth chasing further before the next patch clarifies the awakened-boss path.
  7. Skip Buddha grinds if you own Magnet already. Stage 3 M1 pull-back plus Polarizing Drop hold covers most of what Buddha was doing for you.

FAQ

Is the Magnet Fruit worth 3,500 Robux?

Only if you want it in the next 48 hours and cannot spare the two-hour cadence to farm tokens. Magnet is in the Magnet Gacha pool as one of the possible non-Common fruit rolls, and its Robux price will drop into normal rotation once the event ends. Patient players get it free.

What is the maximum level now?

Base cap is still 2,600 EXP-farm. The new hard ceiling is 3,000, reachable only by completing all 40 Island Secrets. Each secret gives +5 levels to your personal cap.

How long does the Magnet Event last per hour?

Ten minutes, starting exactly at XX:00 UTC. About 1–3 modified enemies per island for that window, then the island is finished until the next hour rolls.

What happened to Wysper and Thunder God?

Renamed to Sky Warlord and Lightning God respectively. Same island slots, new models, new health bars, new drop preview UI. Magma Admiral became Magma General in the same pass.

Are Chief Warden and Swan gone permanently?

Removed in Update 30 with no replacement announced. If either boss dropped something you needed, the wiki hunt is now for whatever inherits their drop table — nothing confirmed there yet.

Does the Magnet Gacha share cooldown with the regular gacha?

Yes. Two hours, shared. Roll one and you cannot roll the other until the cooldown expires. That is why the choice matters — a Magnet roll costs you a possible Dragon roll from the standard gacha and vice versa.

Is Magnet awakenable?

Not at launch. No awakening tree has been added, and none is teased in the patch notes.

What is the counter to Maximum Overdrive?

Lightning damage. Rumble, Lightning-based Elemental, and Lightning God fights all cut through the transformation faster than any other damage type. That is the one confirmed weakness of the ~62% damage reduction.
